Chapter 201: Her Father, His Power

Aurora’s POV
I fell back, my hands shot up to my mouth as the world spun around me.
"No... no, no, this can't be true..."
Annie ran to me, held my arms before I fell.
"Aurora, just breathe. What's wrong?
You said your dad left you. You said he didn't want you or your mom.
Why show up now?"
I cried hard. Tears made it hard to see.
"He left us, Annie.
He banished my mom and me away years ago!
He never cared for me. He never said I was his kid!"
I pulled at my hair in fear.
"Why now? Why is he here now?"
Gabriel moved close, his face sad but urgent.
"Because secrets don't keep, Aurora. And Alpha Tony... he's not here just to see us. He wants everyone to know who he is."
I shook my head hard.
"No!
I don't want his attention. I don't want anything from him!"
My voice cracked as I moved close to Annie.
"He messed up my life before it even started."
Annie hugged me tight, looked sharply at Gabriel over my shoulder.
"She won't meet him if she doesn't want to."
Gabriel spoke with a heavy voice.
"Annie... she has no choice. Alpha John knows. Everyone knows. All know that Aurora Holmes... is Alpha Tony's daughter."
My heart stopped.
Annie gasped. “Oh my god…”
I stumbled back again, shaking my head in disbelief.
“No. No, this will destroy everything.
Alessandro… what is he going to think of me now? He’ll never be able to marry me after this!”
“Aurora—” Gabriel tried, but my scream cut through the air.
“HE’LL HATE ME!”
The room fell into suffocating silence.
Annie gripped my hands tighter. “No. Don’t you dare say that. Alessandro loves you, Aurora. Nothing will change that.”
But deep down, fear clawed at me. Because if there was one thing I knew about this world… it was that the past always came back to ruin me.
“No, Annie. He would be angry with me that I kept such a huge secret from him that my father is Alpha Tony of Raven’s Pack.”
Gabriel’s jaw clenched.
“Aurora, this isn’t your fault. You were a child when it happened.
You didn’t choose this bloodline. You didn’t choose to be his daughter.”
I snapped my head toward him, my voice breaking.
“But I am! His blood runs in my veins, Gabriel.
Do you know what that means?
Do you know how everyone will look at me now? Like I’m some traitor like I’ve been lying to all of them this whole time!”
Annie hugged me tighter, whispering fiercely, “You are not him. You are Aurora.
You are Alessandro’s mate. You are my best friend. That is all that matters.”
But my chest heaved with the weight of panic, my heart hammering against my ribs as though it wanted to escape me.
“You don’t understand… Alpha Tony is ruthless. He banished me and my mother, because she cheated on him and banished me because I was of no use to him since I was a female.
For years I waited and prayed he would come for me and rescue me from the hell my mother put me through.

But he never showed up! Not once! And now… he comes and demands to see me….”
I scoffed bitterly, wiping at the angry tears that streamed down my cheeks.
“Unbelievable.”
Just then, a knock echoed against the door. My stomach twisted. My lips parted, ready to call out—
“Who is it?”
“Miss Aurora, Alpha John is requesting for your presence in his office.”
****
When I got to close to Alpha John’s office, I saw Alessandro standing outside his father’s office. The look on his face made me uncomfortable.
I couldn’t understand if he was either angry or…. I don’t know know. But the look on his face made me lose my breathe for a moment.
But before I could say a word…. the door opened and my body went cold as I saw my father sitting down facing Alpha John.
I swallowed hard as I walked slowly into his office, trying to calm my racing heart.
Then he turned to look at me.
He hadn’t aged. Not one line more on his face. Not one fleck of gray in his dark hair.
He looked exactly the same as when I was a little girl towering, sharp, untouchable.
The same cold eyes. The same power that had made me feel small all my life.
“Father….?” I whispered, my throat tight, unable to believe what I was seeing.
He stood slowly, and for the briefest moment, there was something I hadn’t seen in him in years, regret.

“Aurora…? My little girl…” his voice cracked as if he had swallowed gravel.
Before I could take another step closer, Alpha John rose to his feet, his tone sharp yet oddly softened.

“Oh… this is really nice. I’m glad you have finally found your daughter, Alpha Tony. And it’s surprising that it’s Aurora.”
He turned to me with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
“I have always seen potential in your daughter and believed that she’s a light in my pack.”
I froze, stunned, staring at him. My chest tightened.

Potential? Light? From Alpha John?
This was the same man who spat venom at me, who called me a curse and tried to push me out of his pack the moment Alessandro defied him. The same man who swore I had no place here. And now praise?

Why?
Why the sudden change in character? Was it because he had found out my father was an Alpha?
I scoffed as I looked at him, unable to hide the bitterness swirling in my chest.
Just then, Alessandro walked toward me and held my hands. His grip was firm, grounding me. I looked up at him, confused, but he only winked.
He wasn’t angry with me. He wasn’t disappointed. Did he… understand everything? My chest tightened. I really didn’t deserve this man.
“That’s good news, Father,” Alessandro said softly, his voice steady but full of resolve.
“Since Aurora’s father is here, I think he should know this.”
My stomach dropped.
He turned to face my father, who still stared at me with that unreadable expression, an expression I hadn’t seen in years. For a moment, I thought I saw softness, but I didn’t dare believe it.
“Alpha Tony of Raven’s Pack,” Alessandro began, lifting his chin proudly, “my name is Alessandro Prickette, and I am in love with your daughter so much that I can give up my right to become Alpha of my pack.”
Gasps echoed faintly in the room. My heart stopped.
My father turned his head slowly toward him. Then—he smiled.
“You really love her that much??” His voice carried both disbelief and… amusement.
Alessandro nodded without hesitation. “Yes. And I intend to spend the rest of my life with her.
But…” he paused, glancing at me before fixing his gaze on my father, “…there’s a problem.”
At once, my father’s smile fell. His face hardened. “And what could that be?”
The air grew heavy, tension thick as a blade ready to strike.
But before Alessandro could say another word, Alpha John cut in, his voice quick, almost desperate.
“Uhm… Alessandro, that’s not the time for that,” he said, forcing a strained chuckle.
“And besides… what problem could possibly stop you and Aurora from being together?
She’s from a royal lineage, and you are too. So… the bond is perfect.”
I smiled faintly, though it was hollow.
So that was it.
Alpha John’s sudden change in heart wasn’t kindness. It wasn’t acceptance.
It was because of my father, because of his power, his name, his status.
And that truth burned deeper than his hatred ever had.
Before I could speak, Alessandro squeezed my hands tighter, his jaw clenched in defiance.
“No, Father. You don’t understand,” he said firmly, his eyes flicking between Alpha John and Alpha Tony.
“The problem isn’t with her bloodline. The problem is you.”
The room froze.
Alpha John’s smile faltered. My breath caught.
“What did you just say, Alessandro?” his father’s voice dropped, heavy with warning.
But Alessandro didn’t flinch. His grip on me tightened.

“The problem is that you wanted to banish Aurora… the woman I love. And I won’t let you hide that truth anymore.”
Gasps filled the room, my father’s head snapping toward Alpha John, his expression darkening with dangerous curiosity.
“Banish… her?” Alpha Tony’s voice rumbled, low and sharp.
“Explain yourself, John.”
