Heartfelt Confession.

Aurora’s POV

I've been dodging my mother's attempts to rebuild our relationship, unable to forgive her for the pain she's caused me.

Alpha John, my stepfather, is bearable, but I don't feel a desperate need for a father figure in my life.

Instead, I find myself drawn to Leonardo, who has been a constant source of comfort and support ever since I came into this pack.

As I sat in the garden, watching the sunlight seep through the trees, I replay our conversation from a few days ago.

We had taken a walk around the woods, the crunch of leaves beneath our feet the only sound breaking the silence.

Leonardo had turned to me, his eyes focused on mine, and confessed his feelings.

“I’m in love with you, Aurora.”

I was surprised and happy at the same time, but I haven't given him my answer yet, unsure of how to process my emotions.

I move my hands restlessly, recalling the way my heart skipped a beat when he took my hand in his.

His touch were gentle and sent electric shock waves round my body, and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be with him.

Seeking guidance, I head to Gabriel and Rafael's favorite hangout spot, a cozy little nook near the pack's communal area.

They were already there, engaged in a heated game of cards.

I cleared my throat to announce my presence, and they turned to me with matching grins.

"Hey, Rory!" Gabriel said, giving me a new nickname.

"What brings you here?"

I took a deep breath and launch into the story, trying to convey the mix of emotions inside me.

"Uh….Leonardo told me he has feelings for me...and I don't know what to do."

Rafael's eyes light up with interest, while Gabriel sets his cards down, giving me his full attention.

"That's heavy," Gabriel said, his brow furrowed.

"What did you say to him?"

I shook my head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I didn't say anything. I just...froze."

They exchange a knowing glance before Rafael speaks up. "Well, first things first, you need to figure out how you feel."

He leans forward, his elbows on his knees. "Do you have feelings for him too?"

I hesitate, unsure of how to articulate my emotions. But as I look at Gabriel and Rafael, I know I can be honest with them.

"I think I might...but I'm scared," I admitted, fidgeting with my hands. Gabriel nodded understandingly, his expression empathetic.

"That's normal. But you need to consider the consequences," he said, leaning forward in his chair.

"Leonardo's got a lot on his plate, and exploring a relationship with him might add to his stress."

Rafael, who was pacing around the room, stopped and turned to face me.

"But love can be a powerful thing, Rory. If you both feel the same way, it might be worth exploring," his eyes encouraging.

I bit my lip, my concern still evident. "But what about Lena? I heard she's his mate." I laid out my worry, my brow furrowed.

Gabriel sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Yeah...about that. Leonardo doesn't love Lena, and so he has rejected her, but she refused to accept his rejection and kept on disturbing him."

Gabriel shook his head, his face disapproving. Rafael got up and began pacing, his hand behind his back, his brow furrowed in concern.

"And her parents are close friends to Alpha John, our father...so...I don't know how Leonardo would come out of it," he trailed off, his face thoughtful.

I slumped back in my chair, feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of the situation.

The three of us sat in silence for a moment, each lost in our own thoughts. Just then, Leonardo walked up to where we were, his eyes scanning the group before landing on me.

"Aurora?" he called my name, and I sat up straight, my heart skipping a beat.

"Leonardo?

What are you doing here?"

I asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the flutter in my chest.

He smiled and placed his hands inside his pockets, his eyes shining at the corners.

"I was looking for you. I got to your room and knocked several times, but you didn't answer, so I assumed you'd be out here."

He paused, his eyes focused on me.

"Can we talk over dinner tonight?"

I furrowed my brow, surprised by the request.

"Dinner?"

He nodded, his expression hopeful.

"But if you don't want to, it's fine." I smiled, feeling a spark of excitement.

"No, it's fine. I would love that."

He smiled back, his eyes lighting up.

“But where are we going?” I asked, as I looked at him.

Rafael and Gabriel interrupted us, their voices overlapping.

"Aurora, don't worry your head about that. You just get ready."

"What about Alpha John? Hope he won't find out," I asked, my brow furrowed in concern.

Rafael shook his head.

"Nope!

He won't suspect a thing because he's out with Luna April on important matters about the pack, so they'll be coming back tomorrow morning.

You guys have the whole night to yourselves."

I furrowed my brow, still unsure what they were talking about, but Leonardo just smiled.

"I'll pick you up in front of your room at 8 pm. Is that okay?" I nodded with a smile, feeling a thrill of anticipation.

"Yeah, it's cool."

That night, Leonardo took me to a secluded spot deep in the forest, where a romantic dinner was set up under the stars.

We talked and laughed, our connection growing stronger with every passing minute.

As the night wore on, Leonardo took my hand, his eyes burning with intensity.

"Aurora, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special. Will you be my woman?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

I nodded, my heart beating with excitement.

"Yes, I'd love to."

But then I hesitated, thinking of the pack's gossip and the potential backlash.

"But let's keep this between us for now, okay?

I don't want the pack to know just yet."

Leonardo nodded understandingly, his smile tender.

"Of course, my love. Our secret for now."

I got up but almost tripped, but Leonardo caught me. I could smell his mild cologne, so manly. As he held me down I involuntarily leaned on his chest.

He wrapped his arms around my neck, and we stared into each other’s eyes.

He looked so handsome. The storm inside me started blowing again.

Nobody could tell how their lips touched. One minute they were staring like love struck teenagers and the next kissing hungrily. His mouth was warm, his hand tightened around my neck.
