Chapter 46: A Wolf with a Mission

Rafael’s POV

Knock!

Knock!!

Knock!!!

"Chill... I’m coming!

Do you wanna break my door?" I called out, heading over to see who was trying to pound a hole through it.

I opened the door to find Aurora standing there, her face tense and her hands trembling slightly.

“Hey, Aurora. What are you doing here?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Sorry to disturb you, Rafael, but... have you seen Leonardo? I went to his room, but I couldn’t find him.” Her voice wavered as if she’d heard something that shook her.

I stepped aside, gesturing for her to come in. She hesitated, watching me carefully, then seemed to decide it was safe and stepped inside. I closed the door, leaning against it as she started pacing across the floor, biting her nails.

I folded my arms, watching her spiral, clearly trying to sort through whatever was gnawing at her.

“I don’t know what to do, Rafael. I’m… I’m confused,” she said, still pacing with an intensity that made me wonder just what had happened.

I sighed, shaking my head. “Aurora, can you tell me what’s wrong and why you’re pacing in circles in my room? What’s going on?”

She stopped, looking at me with a mix of fear and uncertainty. “I don’t know... I heard something, and I know I shouldn’t be scared. But a part of me is terrified that what I feared the most could actually happen.”

I met her gaze, genuinely confused. “Huh? Aurora, could you please explain? I’m lost here.”

She took a deep breath, letting her hands drop to her sides. “I called Leonardo earlier, and… a woman answered.”

She clenched her jaw, clearly reliving the shock of that moment. “I don’t know who she was or why she had his phone, but… the way she spoke… It was like she was taunting me. Like she was happy I’d heard her.”

I nodded, processing what she was saying. I knew Leonardo well, he wasn’t the kind of guy to mess around. But I also knew someone else who could stare such trouble. Lena.

“Look, Aurora, I’m sure there’s an explanation for this. Leonardo wouldn’t just-”

“Wouldn’t he?” she cut me off, frustration lacing her voice.

“Everyone keeps telling me that, but then why hasn’t he called me? Or messaged me? If this woman is nothing, why wouldn’t he reach out to explain?”

She sank into the chair by the window, burying her face in her hands. The silence stretched, thick and uncomfortable, as she sat there, visibly crumbling under the weight of her fears.

I walked over and sat beside her, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder.

“Aurora, you know him better than anyone. If you trust him, then give him a chance to explain. Maybe… maybe he’s dealing with something and hasn’t had a chance to talk yet.”

She looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and doubt. “I want to believe that, Rafael.

But then I saw Alessandro. He cornered me, made these awful accusations about my mother, about me… and he kept hinting that there was something I didn’t know about Leonardo.

Some… news I hadn’t heard.”

My jaw clenched at the mention of Alessandro. He’d always been trouble, never missing an opportunity to stir things up.

“Don’t let Alessandro get into your head. You know he lives to cause chaos. Whatever he told you, he probably just wants to plant doubt and make you miserable.”

Aurora nodded slowly but remained silent, lost in thought. I could tell she was fighting an internal battle, one where her love for Leonardo clashed with the doubt Alessandro had sown.

After a long pause, she looked back at me, a sliver of determination breaking through her uncertainty.

“Maybe I need to see him,” she whispered.

“Talk to him face to face, find out what’s going on.”

“That’s probably the best thing you could do right now,” I agreed. “You’ll get answers straight from him, not through rumors or whispers.”

She took a shaky breath and nodded, as if steeling herself. “Thank you, Rafael. I… I just needed someone to remind me of that.” She gave me a faint smile.

“Anytime,” I said, giving her a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder. “You’ll get to the bottom of this, I’m sure. And if you need backup, you know where to find me.”

Aurora managed a small, grateful smile. She stood up, a new resolve in her stance.

“I think I’ll go find him. I can’t keep letting this doubt eat away at me.”

I walked toward the door and opened it. “That’s a good idea.”

She paused, noticing something in my expression. “Are you going somewhere, Rafael?”

I nodded, grinning. “Well… I happen to have a date tonight that I can’t afford to miss.

This might be my only chance to make a long-time dream come true!” I gestured dramatically.

“A date? With who?” she asked, eyebrow raised.

I closed the door and sat down, eager to tell her. “I’ve had my eye on this beautiful beta in our pack for a while. She’s incredible, strong, smart, and drop-dead gorgeous. I’ve been looking forward to spending some time with her.”

Aurora gave me a knowing look.

“Uh-huh… and when you say you have your eye on a beta, I know what that means.”

“Hahaha, Aurora!

You know I can be faithful,” I said, laughing as I adjusted myself on my bed.

She scoffed playfully. “Sure, I’d love to believe you, but it’s not easy.”

“Well, as I was saying,” I began, leaning back with a sly grin, “she’s got this amazing blonde hair, just past her shoulders, and these big, striking blue eyes. which you could just stare at all day, and what a body!

She had a body like a porn star, built for fucking!”

Aurora raised an eyebrow, already sensing where this was going.

“Uh-huh… and let me guess she’s the love of your life?”

I laughed. “Love of my life? Maybe not… but come on, Aurora, you have to admit I have great taste!

And her figure?

Absolutely stunning. She’s got curves that could make anyone do a double take.”

Aurora rolled her eyes, shaking her head with a knowing smile. “Rafael, you really are something else.

Do you even hear yourself?”

I shrugged, completely unbothered. “What can I say? I’m a man who knows what he likes.”

“You mean you’re a man who doesn’t know when to quit,” she quipped, crossing her arms.

I held up a hand dramatically. “Fine, fine, guilty as charged. But listen, she’s not just gorgeous.

She’s damn sexy, and I’ll admit, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve jacked off over her each night, it must have easily run into the hundreds and hundreds.

She is a babe!”

“Rafael!” Aurora exclaimed, clearly shocked by my words but trying to strifle a laugh.

“What? Just being honest!” I grinned, unbothered. “She’s the kind of woman you just can’t forget.”

Aurora shook her head, exasperated. “You’re hopeless.”

“Maybe,” I replied with a wink, “but I’m a hopeless romantic.”

She waved her hand to gesture for me to carry on with my narration.

“I would sometimes look through her bedroom keyhole and see her getting ready to go to the gym for training.

I could never see any further down past her breast’s which would always annoy the hell out of me, as the keyhole was a funny shape.

Although sometimes I would catch a glimpse of her perfect stomach, which was tanned a golden brown and had absolutely no fat at all.

How I fantasized about what her pussy looked, smelled, and tasted like, I bet she had a beautiful pussy just like the rest of her body.”

“Omg!”

“I’m telling you, Aurora, Muna has the most perfect breast I have ever seen. They were both the size of a pair of large orange, each one perfectly round and perfectly formed with nipples that looked like small bullets.

They would always bounce up and down when she came running down the stairs, even when she was wearing her sports bra.

Mmm, how I fantasized about freeing those titties and sucking each one greedily in my hands. Little did I know that all my fantasies were going to come true very soon!

I came out to get some air last night after I realized that Leonardo had gone out obviously to spend time with you.

I saw Muna heading out with her friends earlier, and I overheard them talking about going to some new nightclub outside the pack tonight. They were even planning to help her find a hot guy to hook up with.”

“I heard she broke up with her mate because he cheated on her," I added, shaking my head.

"What an idiot! Who would want to cheat on someone like that?"

Aurora raised an eyebrow, clearly seeing right through me. "So… you’re hoping to be the guy she finds tonight?"

I grinned, giving her a thumbs-up. "Bingo!"

Aurora stood up and adjusted her clothes. “Well, good luck with that, Rafael. I seriously hope… you… fail.” She flashed me a playful smile, waved, and then walked out of my room.

I didn’t mind her teasing. I was ready to put my plan into action and get Muna into my bed by any means necessary tonight!
