Awkward Encounter.
Aurora's POV
I slowly opened my eyes, groaning as I sat up. My back ached and didn't know why.
I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the haze of sleep.
As I swung my legs over the side of the bed, I realized that my sheets were damp.
Confusion turned to embarrassment as I remembered the dream I had had.
It was a dream about Leonardo, my new stepbrother. I couldn't believe it.
"What the hell are you thinking, Aurora?" I chastised myself.
"He's your brother now."
I got out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom, still trying to shake off the sleep.
As I sat on the toilet, I realized that I was wet.
My face flushed as I understood why. The dream had been a wet dream. I couldn't believe it.
I quickly finished up and flushed the toilet, then washed my hands.
As I walked back to my room, the words I heard echoed in my mind, but what really caught my attention was what he said in the dream: "Mate."
I stood there, lost in thought, wondering.
"Am I his mate?"
Just then, I heard a knock at the door.
Knock knock knock
My heart skipped a beat as I hesitated, unsure of what to do next. I peeped through the small hole and saw Leonardo standing outside, a smile on his face.
Panic set in as I rushed to check my appearance.
"In a second."
I muttered to myself, gazing into the mirror. My hair was scattered all over my face, and my eyes looked puffy from sleep.
I quickly smoothed out my hair, trying to tame the tangled mess.
"Okay, okay, stay calm."
I whispered, wiping the drool from my mouth and adjusting my clothes.
After a few quick deep breaths, I felt slightly more composed. I grasped the door handle, opened it slowly, and tried to act nonchalant.
Leonardo's smile widened as he leaned against the doorframe, his broad shoulders filling the space.
"Hey, beautiful."
Leonardo said, his voice low and husky, his eyes shining at the corners as he smiled.
I felt my heart skip a beat as I smiled back, my cheeks warming up.
"Good morning," I replied, my voice a little shaky.
Leonardo's gaze held mine, his eyes filled with genuine concern.
"How are you?
Hope you had a restful night."
He was still leaning against the doorframe, his broad shoulders relaxed.
I nodded, my hair falling over my shoulder as I tilted my head.
"Yeah, I did. It was... nice."
I said, my voice trailing off as I remembered the wet dream I had with him. My face grew hotter, and I looked away, trying to compose myself.
Leonardo's eyes never left mine, his face soft and encouraging. "
I was wondering if you could come downstairs and join us for breakfast and also get to bond with us.
Gabriell, Rafael, and Alessandro are downstairs eating."
I hesitated for a moment, my heart racing at the thought of facing all of them. But Leonardo's warm smile put me at ease.
"Sure, I'd love to."
I replied, trying to sound casual despite the flutter in my chest. I fidgeted with my hair, my fingers tangling in the strands.
"I'll just finish getting ready."
I added, gesturing to my half-done hair and the wrinkled clothes I still wore from the night before.
Leonardo nodded, his eyes sparkling with warmth.
"Great!
We'll be waiting for you. Take your time."
He pushed off the doorframe, his movements natural and graceful, and turned to leave.
"I'll send someone up to help you with your hair and clothes if you'd like."
I nodded, feeling a rush of gratitude towards him.
"Thanks, Leonardo. That's really sweet of you."
He smiled over his shoulder, his eyes shining at the corners.
"Anything for you, beautiful."
With that, he headed downstairs, leaving me to finish getting ready.
-----------
After showering and getting ready, I felt more composed and ready to face the day. I took a deep breath, grabbed my phone, and headed out of my room.
As I made my way downstairs, I could hear laughter and chatter coming from the dining room.
My heart skipped a beat as I realized my stepbrothers were already gathered around the table.
As I descended the stairs, Gabriell and Rafael greeted me with warm smiles.
"Hey, Aurora!
Good morning!" Gabriell said, his eyes sparkling with friendliness.
Rafael nodded in agreement, his rugged features softening for a moment.
Leonardo, who was already seated, gestured for me to come sit with him. He had opened a chair for me, and his eyes shining at the corners as he smiled.
"Hey, beautiful. Join us."
Alessandro, however, rolled his eyes.
"Oh, our little step-sister is here." he said, his tone filled with sarcasm. I could tell he wasn't thrilled about my presence at the table.
But I chose to ignore his annoying behavior and focused on the warmth and kindness from the other three.
I smiled back at Leonardo and made my way to the empty chair.
"Thanks, Leonardo. Good morning, everyone."
As I sat down, Leonardo pushed a plate of food in front of me.
"We saved you some breakfast.
Hope you're hungry."
The aroma of freshly cooked food filled my senses, and my stomach growled in response.
"Thanks, I am."
“So….Aurora, I heard you go to college, what’s your major?”
Gabriel asked, his fork moving in a slow rhythm as he gathered his scrambled eggs.
He looked up at me with genuine interest, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
I hesitated for a moment, my mind racing.
“Um…business management.”
I replied finally, my voice low. I fidgeted with my napkin, my eyes looking around the table.
Rafael, who was sitting across from me, nodded enthusiastically.
“That’s great!
You must be smart, Aurora.”
He said, his deep voice filled with encouragement. He took a sip of his orange juice, his eyes shining at the corners as he smiled.
Leonardo, who was sitting next to me, leaned in slightly.
“Yeah, Aurora, what made you choose business management?”
He asked, his voice low and husky. His eyes locked onto mine, his eyes intense and interested.
I felt a flutter in my chest as I met his eyes.
“I…um…I just thought it would be a practical major, you know?
Good job prospects and all that”
I replied, my voice a little stronger now. I took a bite of my toast, my eyes never leaving Leonardo’s face.
Alessandro, who had been quiet until now, scoffed in disgust.
“Practical?
You call that a reason to choose a major?”
He said, his voice filled with sarcasm. He rolled his eyes and went back to eating his breakfast, his eyes attitude seemingly uninterested.
Gabriell shot him a warning look.
“Hey, come on, Alessandro. Don’t be rude.”
He said, his voice firm but gentle. He turned back to me, his face softening.

I was lying on my bed, listening to music and typing on my phone. I was feeling bored, so I decided to take a walk around the pack's territory to get familiar with my new surroundings.
As I stepped out and walked around, I started hearing a soft sound and wondered what it was.
I moved closer to investigate, and what I heard next was quite disturbing…
