Chapter 221: You’re My Everything

Alessandro’s POV

Aurora was still laughing softly, brushing bits of grass off her dress when I decided to break the silence that followed.

“Aurora,” I said gently.

She looked up immediately, her smile softening when she saw my expression.

“What is it?”

I hesitated, running a hand through my hair.

“There’s… something I need to tell you.”

Her brow furrowed.

“You’re scaring me. What happened?”

“It’s Leonardo,” I said quietly. “Gabriel told me earlier today that after our wedding… he’s leaving the pack.”

Her lips parted slightly, but she didn’t look surprised.

“I know,” she murmured after a moment.

“You do?”

She nodded.

“Annie told me this morning.”

I frowned, confused.

“And you didn’t say anything?”

Aurora looked away for a second, her gaze settling on the fountain.

“What could I have said, Alessandro?

Leonardo made his choice. Maybe he needs to leave to find his peace.

We’ve all been through so much.”

I sat beside her again, searching her face.

“Are you… okay with it?”

She sighed, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her dress. “I’m sad,” she admitted softly.

“He was once a part of my life, and even though things ended badly, I never wished him unhappiness.

But if leaving means he can finally heal, then I’ll wish him well.”

Her voice trembled slightly toward the end, and I reached out, taking her hand in mine.

“I wish I could make things easier for everyone,” I said, squeezing her hand.

“But I can’t. The only thing I can promise is that I’ll never let you go through any of this alone again.”

Aurora looked at me then really looked at me and her eyes glimmered with something warm and fierce.

“You’ve already kept that promise, Alessandro. You came back for me when everyone else turned away.

You fought for me, even when I didn’t think I was worth fighting for.

You became my strength when I had none left.”

Her words hit me harder than I expected. I swallowed, my throat tight.

“Aurora…”

She smiled softly.

“What?”

I stood up and pulled her with me.

“Come here.”

She blinked in confusion as I lifted her effortlessly, setting her on the edge of the fountain.

Her hands gripped my shoulders instinctively for balance, and I stepped closer, resting my hands at her waist.

“Even though tomorrow is our wedding,” I said quietly, meeting her gaze, “I feel like I should say some of my vows tonight.”

Her breath caught.

“Alessandro…”

I smiled faintly. “No, let me. I don’t want to wait until tomorrow to tell you what’s in my heart.”

She nodded slowly, her eyes never leaving mine.

I took a deep breath. “When I first met you, I saw you as a problem. A burden I didn’t want in my pack.

You reminded me of everything I hated  weakness, pity, chaos. But I was wrong.”

Her lips parted slightly as I continued, my voice low and sincere.

“You weren’t my weakness, Aurora. You were my awakening.

You taught me what strength really means not power, not dominance but love.

You made me realize that an Alpha without a heart is just a beast with a title.”

Tears shimmered in her eyes.

“Alessandro…”

I smiled, brushing my thumb across her cheek.

“I love you, Aurora. Not because fate says so, not because the moon goddess tied us but because I choose you.

Every single day. And I’ll keep choosing you, no matter how many battles we face.”

Her hands slid up to cup my face, her voice trembling.

“You have no idea how much I needed to hear that.”

“I think I do,” I whispered.

“Because I needed to say it.”

For a moment, neither of us spoke. The wind rustled through the leaves, and the sound of the fountain filled the silence between our breaths.

Aurora smiled through her tears. “You’re going to ruin your surprise for tomorrow, you know.”

I laughed softly.

“Then you’ll just have to pretend you didn’t hear it.”

“I’ll pretend,” she said, smiling as she leaned forward, her forehead resting against mine.

“But only if you promise to keep loving me like this forever.”

“I swear it,” I whispered.

“On the moon, on the pack, on everything I am.”

And then, under the fading light, I kissed her slow and deep, a promise sealed long before the ceremony could begin.

When we finally pulled apart, she laughed softly, eyes glimmering like the stars starting to appear.

“Tomorrow,” she said, brushing her fingers against my jaw, “I’ll become your Luna.”

I smiled, holding her close.

“And tonight,” I murmured, “you’re already my everything.”

****
The morning sun spilled across the pack grounds, painting the Shadow Pack estate in gold. Every corner buzzed with energy  laughter, hurried footsteps, the rustle of gowns and the scent of fresh roses carried by the wind.
It was the day.
The day Aurora and I would finally be bound before the moon, the pack, and the goddess herself.
Outside my window, I could see pack members stringing up garlands, warriors ensuring the perimeter was clear, and betas helping the elders to their seats.
The courtyard had been transformed into something out of a dream white silk drapes, lanterns hanging from trees, a ceremonial platform built beside the fountain where Aurora and I had shared our vows the night before.
Gabriel entered first, grinning ear to ear.
“You ready, Alpha?”
I was adjusting my cufflinks when I smirked.
“Do I look ready?”
Rafael poked his head in right after.
“You look like a man about to be eaten alive by commitment.”
“Very funny,” I muttered, rolling my eyes.
Gabriel chuckled. “Ignore him. He’s still allergic to love.”
Rafael shrugged, straightening his own tie. “Love’s complicated. I prefer simple pleasures.”
I turned toward the mirror, smoothing my hair one last time. My reflection almost startled me the same man who once swore he’d never love now wore the weight of joy on his shoulders.
“Alessandro,” came a familiar voice behind me.
I turned and found my father, Alpha John, standing by the doorway.
His silver hair caught the sunlight, his expression calm and proud.
“Father,” I greeted, walking toward him.
He studied me for a long moment, then smiled faintly.
“I never thought I’d see the day my son would look nervous about something.”
I laughed quietly.
“It’s not nerves, Father.
Just… anticipation.”
He nodded, eyes soft.
“You’ve become the Alpha this pack needed. And now, with Aurora by your side, I believe you’ll take it even further than I ever could.”
“Thank you, Father,” I said, my voice low.
“It means a lot, coming from you.”
He stepped forward, placing a hand on my shoulder.
“I saw what love did to me it made me cautious, hardened even.
But seeing you, Alessandro… you found balance. You found strength in love, not weakness.
I’m proud of you, son.”
“Thank you,” I whispered, swallowing hard.
Before I could speak further, Gabriel called from the doorway. “Alpha Tony is here. He said he’d like to speak with you before the ceremony.”
I nodded. “Let him in.”
