Forbidden Love.

Alessandro's POV

I was drowning in work, buried under piles of paperwork and pack affairs. My father had trusted me to manage the pack, but I still hoped he would recognize my efforts and make me the new Alpha. It was a long shot, but it was all I had.

Aurora had listened when I told her to keep away, respecting my space, but her closeness with Leonardo made me uneasy.

I could see how he looked at her, how he was always around her, and it didn't feel right.

One evening, I was in the study, nursing a glass of whiskey and trying to relax when Leonardo walked in, looking unusually cheerful.

"Hey, Alessandro, got a minute?" he asked, sitting across from me.

I nodded, setting my glass down. "Sure, what's up?"

Leonardo hesitated before speaking. "I wanted to talk to you about Aurora."

My gut tightened at the mention of her name. "What about her?"

He took a deep breath. "I love her, Alessandro. And I plan to ask her out."

My grip on the glass tightened, my knuckles turning white. "She's our sister, Leonardo."

Leonardo shook his head, a determined look in his eyes. "She's our stepsister, Alessandro. There's no blood relation."

Gabriel and Rafael, who had been listening from the doorway, walked in and took seats beside Leonardo.

I looked at them, expecting support, but they surprised me.

"Leo's right, Alessandro," Gabriel said calmly.

"There's no harm in it. If they love each other, why should we stand in their way?"

Rafael nodded in agreement. "Yeah, man. We should support them."

I slammed my glass down on the table, the sound echoing through the room. "Are you all out of your goddamn minds huh?

She's our sister, blood or not! This is crazy."

Leonardo stood up, his face serious. "I've thought about this a lot, Alessandro. And as long as we're not blood-related, I don't see the problem. I love her, and I want to be with her."

I stood up too, my anger boiling over. "This isn't just about blood relation. It's about loyalty, respect for our family, and the complications it will bring to the pack."

Leonardo took a step closer, his eyes locked on me. "I respect our family, Alessandro.
But I can't ignore my feelings for Aurora. She's special to me."

"Special to you?

Ha!

What a load of bull!" I exclaimed, my voice rising in anger.

Gabriel and Rafael shared a look, then turned their attention back to me.

“Alessandro.” Rafael said gently.

“Perhaps we should give them a chance….. I mean love is unpredictable, and we can’t dictate who we fall for.”

I shook my head,

“You all are out of goddamn mind!

You don’t understand the consequences of this. Our father Alpha John would never approve and it could cause a rift in the pack.”

Leonardo's face relaxed, but he didn't give up. "I'm willing to try, Alessandro. I love her too much to leave her.

"Then what about Lena huh?"

I pressed on, my voice firm.

"You can't tell me she's not important. She's your mate, Leonardo."

Leonardo's jaw tightened, and he looked away, his eyes filling with emotion.,

"Lena and I...it's not working out. I don't love her like I love Aurora."

I laughed in disbelief.

"You're just going to dismiss your bond with Lena like that? The bond is sacred, Leonardo."

"Hey, Alessandro, calm down," Gabriel said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Let's think this through before we react. We need to look at all the options."

But I was too angry to listen. The idea of Leonardo with Aurora, risking his relationship with Lena and threatening the pack's peace, was unbearable.

My anger boiled over, and my instincts screamed at me to do something.

"Look, Alessandro, I understand that you don't want any issues that would affect this pack, but I can't help how I feel.

I mean, I've been feeling this connection with Aurora that I couldn't explain. And you and I both know that I rejected my mate bond with Lena, but she's refused to accept my rejection."

"But you still sleep with her, don't you?" I accused, my voice low and accusing.

Leonardo looked down, nodding.

"It's complicated, Alessandro. We've been together for so long, and I care about her deeply, but I don't feel the same way about her as I do about Aurora.

And to be honest, Lena and I...we haven't been that intimate in a long time. It's more of a habit, a comfort thing, than anything else."

I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "Save it, Leonardo. You're not fooling anyone, least of all yourself."

Rafael intervened, his voice soothing and diplomatic. "Alessandro, let's not get sidetracked.

The real issue is Leonardo's feelings for Aurora and how it affects our pack."

But I was beyond reason. The thought of Leonardo's willingness to risk everything for a chance at love with Aurora made my blood boil.

I felt my anger rising, my instincts urging me to confront him, to make him see sense.

"Aurora deserves better than to be your second choice," I spat, my voice filled with malice.

Leonardo's eyes flashed, and he took a step forward, his fists clenched. "How dare you," he growled.

"You know nothing about my feelings for her."

I shot back, my heart beating. "I know you're willing to gamble everything - your relationship with Lena, the pack's harmony - for a shot at love with Aurora.

But what about what she wants? Have you even thought about that?" For a moment, Leonardo's confidence wavered, and I saw a moment of doubt. But then his mind made up, and he said stubbornly.

"I'll do whatever it takes to make her mine."

I growled, my instincts screaming to lunge at Leonardo. How could he be so thoughtless, so selfish?

“You selfish bastard!”

I yelled as I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and was about to punch him when Rafael held my fist.

“That’s enough, Alessandro!

Fighting won't solve anything."

He released his my hand and turned to Leonardo. "We need to discuss this with Father and find a solution that works for everyone."

I turned away, trying to control my anger. “Do what you want,” I muttered.

“But don’t come crying to me when everything falls apart.”

I stormed out of the room, leaving them behind. The idea of Leonardo being with Aurora troubled me deeply.

This wasn’t just about them; it was about the future of our family and our pack.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that something unpleasant was about to happen and it’s all because of one annoying girl. Aurora.
