Chapter 14

LUNA POV

As our lips touched, I could feel the softness of his lips. I felt the butterflies in my stomach cheering. How I wished this would never end. As his lips moved away, I wanted to hold him back and kiss his sweets lips one more time. I can see his eyes full of desire.

"Rest now, I think you drank a lot," he told me as he slowly approached the door and left.

That was it, he just kissed me again for no reason and after everything, he will just walk away and leave me with no words.

I tried to compose myself and made myself comfortable in bed. My head started to ache. How I wish I could be like Elli, able to drink wine and beer as much as she could. I started to miss my best friend. How I wish she is safe right now.

I don't remember anymore the time I slept. I tried to open my eyes and looked around to see if Hector came back. As expected, he wasn't here. Maybe he didn't come back anymore after that kiss. Well, I enjoyed that kiss.

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. My head still aches a little but I guess I need to freshen up to erase the smell of wine in my body. I went out of the bathroom with a towel covering my naked body. I hope Hector will not come in and see me wearing this. I remember before how he burst into the bathroom and saw me naked. Shit, I don't want to remember that moment.

I remember, this is not my room and my clothes must be there in the next room. Still, I tried to open his closet and was surprised to see women's clothes inside. There are t-shirts, shorts, and pants, even underwear too. He even has lingerie and it was also sexy and revealing. Does he expect me to wear these clothes inside his room?

I remember his fiancé, the woman he fucked in this room last time. Maybe she owned these clothes. I just chose black shorts and a V-neck white t-shirt. I returned to the bathroom to comb my hair and applied a little lipstick which is Jasmine's for sure. I saw seven kinds of women's perfume on a table next to Hector's things. It smell's so good, I think these perfumes are expensive. I never had this kind of perfume before. As I opened the door and made my way downstairs. I heard howls from a nearby place. Was that a werewolf!

I hurriedly went downstairs to see Matilda. She looks so worried and her hands trembling.

"What's happening Matilda?" I asked her as I held her hands.

"Luna, there was a group of rogues who tried to break into the perimeter. Hector, Stefan, and Francis are there now, taking care of them. But, I can't help but worry and feel scared. I remember before, how rogues attacked this house and killed Ysabelle. We were very helpless," as the old woman started to sob.

I hugged her tight. I need to calm her.

"So, it was the rogues who killed Hector's mother?" I asked her.

"Yes Luna, but we believe that someone was controlling these rogues." she continued.

"Why are they trying to attack this house again? What do they need?" I asked in confusion.

"They are after you, Luna," Matilda whispered. I was so shocked. The rogues are after me.

"Why? What do they need from me?" I need to know the reason for everything that is happening. I am just a human, a 22-year-old girl who needs to continue school at a university. But, now I was chased by werewolves for god's sake.

Matilda was about to respond to me when we heard the sounds of cars outside. We tried to look and were surprised to see four black cars parked outside the gate.

Men in black suits started to move out of the car. I felt an alarming bell all around me. Who are they? Did they come for me too?

"Luna, I think you need to go. Hurry! You can pass at the back door and tried to run into the woods. I am sure Hector will find you. His wolf will be able to smell you. Go, run!" she instructed.

"Matilda, I will never leave you here. You need to come with me." I pleaded.

"No, Luna. They would not do anything to me. They don't need me. But they need you. So, please, run," she begged.

I don't want to leave her. But I need to do as I was told. I need to run to the woods to look for Hector. As I made my way out of the door behind the house, the woods came into view. I am scared out of my wits when I heard three gunshots from the house. I remember Matilda, I want to go back. But even if I went back inside, I could never help her. My feet lead me deeper into the woods. I need to find Hector.

As I ran, I felt the leaves and the branches touching my skin. I want to shake like a leaf right now, I can't handle what is happening around me. My vision caught a movement from the bush. I braced myself for what was about to emerge when suddenly, a rabbit came out and it was so cute.

"Alright Luna, stop being paranoid. You need to focus this time," I talked to myself.

I tried to walk around the woods as I tried to be careful not to make any noise. I am afraid that rogues will find and kill me.

I looked around to see that it was getting dark, not because it was almost late but because it wanted to rain.

"Oh, Luna, It was your lucky day today" as I felt the raindrops on my skin.

I heard another noise from a bush near, hoping that it was another cute rabbit. But my eyes went wide to see a black werewolf growl like he just saw prey. It was big, bigger than Hector's wolf, I guess. Its eyes glow red. By just looking at him, I know he was different from the other werewolves who attacked us last time. I swallowed hard as the werewolf approached me. I am preparing myself for his attack.
