Chapter 28

LUNA POV

"Help! Help!" I tried to shout hoping someone would come to save me.

"Don't force yourself, Luna. You are at my house, remember? No one will come to save you." he said as he turned my body to face him. He positioned himself in between my thighs. I felt his hardness in between me. I see him not as a savior who saved my life but as a manipulative and scary monster.

"Please, Lucas I beg you. Please don't," as I kept on crying.

"Don't worry love, I will be gentle," he smirked.

He took off his boxers shorts and displayed his hardness in front of me. I don't love him and I don't want to give myself to him. I want to fight but I am so weak right now.

He was about to take off the last cloth that covered my womanhood when I heard a loud knock on the door.

Someone was outside of the room. Lucas reached for a towel and went to the door to ask who the person was.

"Yes, what do you need?" he asked.

"Alpha, it's me, Earl. You need to come, we have an emergency." the man outside the room said.

"Alright Earl, tell them I am coming," Lucas told the man.

Lucas walked beside the bed to scan my body as I tried to cover it with the blanket.

I am trembling with fear after he tried to rape me.

"You are lucky tonight my love. I need to attend to an emergency. Rest now, because tomorrow will be our special day," Lucas said as he walked out of the room.

I covered my face with my hands as I cried. After almost being killed by Hector's father, here I am now, still in danger with this monster alpha trying to make me his woman and to claim me.

I felt so weak, that I can't even stand up. I need to escape from here. But how could I possibly do that?

I remember Hector, how he saved me many times. For sure, he was busy now, preparing himself to be the next alpha of their pack. Maybe his father was dead after Lucas hurt him.

I need to gain strength, I need to rest and sleep.

I opened my eyes and was surprised to see that I am in the middle of the forest.

I am alone and it's cold. I heard a sound coming in my direction. I started to run, I felt so scared.

The light of the moon gave me a clear view of the trees around me. I saw something from a distance. It was running in my direction. I recognize it, it was a grey wolf, it was Hector's wolf. I was about to run to his wolf when Lucas' wolf blocked my way. His eyes are flaming with anger. My head started to spin as I heard the voice in my mind again.

"Luna, be strong. Run and go to your mate," the voice said.

The voice said I need to run to my mate. I looked forward to seeing Lucas and Hector still in their wolf form. They are in the same place. The voice said I need to run to my mate? But, who is my mate?

I woke up as I heard three knocks on the door. It was morning and the sunlight from the window welcomed me as I opened my eyes.

The door opened as the three female attendants came in. They brought me food and helped me eat. The other one assisted me in the bathroom and cleaned myself.

I've been asking them questions but no one wants to answer me. Maybe Lucas gave those instructions.

From the shower, I was stunned to see new faces in the room. One of them is carrying a white gown.

"What is that?' I asked.

"This is your wedding gown Luna, we will help you fix yourself. The wedding ceremony will be two hours from now," the woman said as she gave me a friendly smile.

My mouth was left open, I don't know what to say.

"I will marry Lucas, today? Can someone tell me what is happening?" I demanded.

"You will marry the Alpha today Luna, didn't he tell you?" the woman said.

I remember last night when he tried to rape me. He said I would marry him and be his queen.

I massaged my temple as I remembered last night's scene. But what can I do? I can't escape from him.

Maybe I can use this fuckin' wedding ceremony to gain his trust. Marry his fuckin' ass and then escape. I don't know, that is the only thing I can think of. No one will come to rescue me, I need to survive and help myself.

With a heavy heart, I wore the white gown. It was a simple white silk gown with crystal bids that added beauty to its design.

A woman applied light makeup to my face. My hair was a bridal pony with a bow. They gave me a bouquet of white roses.

Someone came in to guide me to the place of the wedding ceremony. It was just outside the mansion.

I can see a beautiful garden from where I am standing. The garden was decorated with white roses. It was simple but elegant. There are few chairs and people waiting for me.

My eyes caught Lucas wearing a well-tailored suit. He was wearing a dark blue suit that fits the formality of the wedding ceremony.

With a heavy heart, I started to walk down the aisle. I never thought that this day would come, I would marry a stranger who claims to be my mate.

I felt the tears that started to form in my eyes. I tightened my grip on my bouquet as I near the altar. Everything went too fast. I need to be strong for myself.

He reached for my hand as we both stand in front of the altar.

"You look so beautiful, Luna. I am so happy, I will finally marry my mate," he said as he touched my chin.

"I really can't understand. How on earth, did I become your mate. If given the chance Lucas, I will choose not to marry you. I don't love you." I gave him a sarcastic look.

"Sorry Luna, you can't do anything. This is meant to happen." he gave me a devilish smile.

An old man came and stand in front of us. He introduced himself as one of the elders of the pack.

"Today, we will witness the union of our alpha and his mate," the old man said.

I don't want to listen to what the old man is saying, my head is full, and I can't even think well.

As part of the werewolf wedding ceremony, we both drank wine. The wine hurts as it passes through my throat. I don't even appreciate its taste.

Lucas placed the ring on my finger and I also did the same for him. It was a gold ring and it's beautiful.

"And now, to complete the wedding ceremony, let the alpha mark his mate," the old man announced and everyone cheered.

"What was that "mark" they are saying?" I whispered.

I turned to see everyone clapping and cheering for us. I looked at Lucas as he slowly shift his hands into a wolf form to display his claw.

"I will mark you Luna as my official mate and my queen, I will use this claw to put a mark on your shoulder, don't worry, it doesn't hurt that much," he said.

I felt nervous, he would mark me. My body started to feel cold as his claws moved closer to my shoulder. I've never expected this thing to happen. I am not prepared.

His claws almost touched my skin when suddenly we heard noises and howling.

Everyone panicked, including Lucas. I can see that he wasn't expecting this.

"Alpha, the enemies are attacking!" I heard someone shout.

I felt Lucas's hands tighten on my wrist and pulled me closer to his side.

I saw how werewolves from his pack shift and attacked the werewolves who had just come into the place.

A lot of werewolves emerged from different directions and the fighting started.

A loud howl caught our attention. We turned to see a grey wolf emerging from the crowd of wolves.

It was Hector! My heart celebrated with joy.

He was looking at Lucas with anger. He shifted again to his human form.

"You are interrupting our wedding ceremony, Hector!" Lucas said.

"I don't care about your fuckin' ceremony Lucas, I am here to get my mate!" Hector said as he shift to his wolf form and attacked Lucas.
