Chapter 75

HECTOR POV

The sun shone brilliantly in the clear, blue sky today. Four months after that war, this was the first time I appreciated the beauty of the sky. They said that if you missed someone you love who has passed away, you just need to look up in the sky. They were for sure watching us from heaven.

I took a deep breath. Death was inevitable.

I look at the tomb in front of me. I place the flowers I brought for her and lit a candle too.

I often visit her tomb whenever I missed her. How I wish she was here beside me. I want her to be proud of me. She was the first woman to believe in my capabilities. I will forever treasure and love her.

"Mom, wherever you are, I hope you are happy now," I muttered.

My mom's tomb was Matilda's tomb. I treated both of them as my mother. I mourned their death. But I can't do anything to bring their life back even though I really want to.

My phone rang, it was Stefan. I smiled, he was excited since yesterday. Today is Jasmine's birthday. There's a party in their house. Stefan told me, he will propose to Jasmine for marriage today. Finally, he was able to have the courage to do it. He planned the proposal for a month.

"Yes, are you that excited?" I laughed.

"Where are you, Mr. Alpha? I need moral support here. Bro, I feel nervous alright. I don't know what to do!" he was clearly nervous. I just laughed at him and it pissed him off from the other line.

"Relax bro, inhale and exhale. I'm coming. By the way, is Ryan there?" Ryan told us he will have something important to tell me today. I wonder what it is.

"Oh, yes. He is here. And he was with a beautiful girl." I was surprised and happy at the same time. Finally, Ryan has a girlfriend. I hope he was serious with girls now.

I hurriedly drove my car. I've been very busy the past few days with my alpha duties. Yesterday, I had a meeting with other pack alphas. We agreed to build an academy that would train werewolves both girls and boys. Ridge, the Beta from the Blazing flame pack will be the one to manage the academy. It was his call.

It took me a few minutes before I arrived at the venue. There were familiar faces around me. I saw my cousin waving at me and Stefan was right, she was with a beautiful girl. Jasmine blew the candle after making a wish.

I stayed on one side enjoying the wine. Stefan approached Jasmine and proposed to her. Everybody cheered. They were not mates, but they will marry each other. I hope that one day they will find their true mates, it will not be a problem.

I looked around the crowd of people until my eyes caught a girl in a white dress. She was beautiful as always. Her hair was long and beautiful.

It is my mate, Luna. Finally, she arrived. I walked towards her. I want to hug and smell her sweet scent.

Our gaze met, her eyes is like a magnet and I always felt connected to her.

I kissed her soft lips and felt her tiny arms wrapped around my neck.

"I miss you, baby, how are you?" She was busy the past few days. She needs to fix things in her pack. Her father will soon retire as the alpha of their pack. We agreed to merge our packs. I will be the alpha of both packs. Our pack will be called the Blazing Guardians pack.

Two packs form a very powerful pack.

We got married last month. That was the most beautiful day of my life. After all, I finally married the girl who changed my life.

I am so thankful to my cousin Ryan. If not because of him, Luna would be dead by now. My cousin was able to inject Luna with the vaccine he created from her pure blood and it was effective. It helped her heal.

It took almost a month before she recovered. The wound caused by Lucas was serious.

My wolf and her wolf often run in the woods. I am glad to have her by my side.

We went home after the party. It was a tiring but fun day for me and my wife.

I am always excited to see her and to kiss her. Tomorrow is Sunday and it's a day off for us. An idea popped into my mind. I saw the woods. A few hours before the sunset, I want to invite her for a run.

I changed our direction and she gave me a confused look.

"Where are we going, Hector?"

She's always cute when she's confused and angry.

"My wolf wants to run with your wolf in the woods. Maybe we can breathe fresh air before going home,"

I stopped the car on a road leading to a forest that was still part of my land.

She agreed and we shift into our wolf form. She run deeper down the woods and my wolf followed her.

She was a beautiful white wolf with crystal blue eyes. Her wolf was strong and fast. I'd never thought that she was a werewolf and her father was an alpha. All I know was she has powerful blood.

Anyway, I will always be proud of her and will accept everything about her. She is my mate and she will be the mother of my children in the future.

We reached a steep slope coastline. The cold breeze from the sea is perfect as the sky turns red. Sunset was always magnificent. I moved closer to her, we were in our human form.

I cupped her face with my hands to pull her closer to me. I kissed her deeply. Our connection was getting stronger than before.

"Luna Cassandra Murphy-King, I will always love you." She was my everything.

"Hector King, my alpha. I love you more. I am blessed to have you as my husband,"

Luna was a strong woman. Because of her bravery, we were able to fight and defeat Lucas.

All the packs in Oregon agreed to remember her bravery forever. She will be a role model to the incoming generations of werewolves.

Every wife of the alpha will be called Luna. They will not be called a queen but a Luna.

The duty of a Luna is to serve and support the alpha. The Luna will fight with her alpha and be the mother of her pack. She will bear a child for the alpha. Every pack has their Luna now, and I have mine too.

Luna symbolizes the moon, she gives light during the darkest hours of her pack.

We both stare at the sunset. The sunset doesn't always convey a goodbye or ending. Sunsets are a great reminder to rest and reset our hearts and minds at the end of each and every day. It reminds us that there's a new beginning. It wants us to appreciate its beauty and for us to restore a sense of peace.

I am at peace and I feel complete. I am the alpha and my Luna, Luna Cassandra completes me.
