Chapter 66

LUNA POV

I was able to sleep well last night in my new room. I had breakfast with dad before he left. He said he needs to meet with other werewolf fighters in the camp. I also prepared myself. Today is the first day of my training with Ridge.

Last night, I thought he would kiss me. If he did, I could have punched him in the face. Maybe he was attracted to me but I don't like him.

I went out of the house. The scent of the forest welcomes me. It is too early and the breeze is cold at this time.

"Good morning princess!" I saw Ridge coming my way.

"Good morning Ridge. I'm ready."

"That's great. Let's go!" he walked past me and I followed him.

We didn't talk on our way to the place. I don't have anything to say in the first place.

We arrived at small waterfalls near the place. The sound of the water was calming and peaceful to my ear. The water was clear and the rocks are huge.

"We will have the training in this place?" I inquired.

"Yes, Luna. We need water to increase our strength and concentration. Our goal is to call your wolf. Your wolf will come out when your body, soul, and mind are well prepared to accept her," he said.

"Wow, this is ahm... But, do you think I can do it? You know, it's hard I guess. Because I've been a human my entire life. And..." I really don't know what to say.

"Believe in yourself, Luna. You should not have any doubt. You need to focus and try to understand your wolf. She is your other half. Once you and the wolf will be as one, then you can shift," he continued.

I nodded. I need to follow everything he says. I need to do this. I need my wolf.

"So, what is the first step?" I am determined to do this.

"Can you see that big rock over there? Where are the waterfalls? Sit there. Come I will guide you going there," he raised his hand. I was hesitant to touch him. But I need to forget the way he looks yesterday. He is my trainer so I need to obey.

I reached for his hand and his hands were warm. He guided me to the rock.

The moment my body submerged into the water, I felt very cold. I tremble as coldness climbs all over my body.

"Calm down Luna. It is cold at first, but your body will soon adapt and you will feel warm," he smiled.

"Alright, I'm just not used to this kind of temperature," I said.

The water was shallow. I thought it was deep. It was just enough for us to walk. We reached the big rock and he guided me to sit on it.

The water from the fall was cold and it penetrates my soul. I want to shout and run away. It was too cold.

"Ridge, are you sure about it? I could be sick with this temperature!" I yelled.

He laughed. "Calm down, focus, and keep your mouth shut. Listen to my instructions!"

"Ok, what to do next? Please hurry. I'm trembling."

"Close your eyes, feel the water that touches your skin and your body. Clear your mind from everything. Try to call for the voice that you can hear in your mind. And try to know her," he instructed.

"Ok, no choice. I need to do it. I don't want to die in cold,"

I took a deep breath as I feel the water pouring from the small waterfall.

I close my eyes trying to forget the coldness and freezing water.

I need to do this for the people I love especially for my mate Hector.

As I concentrated, it seems that the water turns warm and I don't feel cold anymore. I kept my eyes close.

I need to clear my mind as instructed by Ridge.

"I call for the voice. I need to talk to you," I waited for a response.

"Please, I need to talk to you. I need to know who you are," 

I can't hear the sound of the water. It feels like I'm not in the waterfalls anymore.

I opened my eyes. Where am I? 

I am still sitting on the same rock but I'm not in the river anymore. Ridge is gone. I felt nervous. This place is unfamiliar.

There were fogs all around me and the bushes are thick. I can see a few trees and most of them are already dying.

"Hello?" my voice echoed.

"Ridge?" still no response.

I kept quiet for a while to scan the place but I never left the rock and remained sitting.

"Luna...Luna..." I heard the voice.

I felt happy to hear the voice again. I looked around but I cannot find it.

"Where are you? I need to talk to you," I told the voice.

"Don't search for me, Luna. I am always here. I am here inside your heart." the voice replied.

"I want to know who you are," I said.

"You already know me, Luna."

I am always confused with the voice. Her answers and words always puzzle me.

I compose myself and concentrated before I ask.

"I want to know, please tell me, who are you?" I asked.

"I am you, Luna. We are one. I am your wolf," the voice revealed.

I was speechless for a few seconds. My wolf, it is my wolf.

"You are my wolf. I want to see you," I want to see you so I can believe that it is really my wolf.

"Yes Luna, I'm here," I focused my eyes in front of me.

And there I saw a white beautiful wolf walking towards me. Its fur is as white as a snow. Her eyes were blue. Her face was so perfect for a wolf.

"You are beautiful," I uttered those words as I look at my wolf.

The wolf looked directly in my eyes. I can feel the connection and the bond between us.

"Trust in yourself, Luna. Be strong and fight for the one you love. We need to be as one, we need to be with our mate again,"

Hector, yes, our mate. I want to see him again.

"How can we be as one?" I want to shift. If I will be a wolf, I will be strong.

"In the right time Luna, you and I will unite and you can shift" and it disappeared.

"Wait, where are you going?" the white wolf was gone.

I opened my eyes, I saw Ridge's face and he was so worried.

He looks so shocked and he was above me.

I stood up. 

"What am I doing here?" I am no longer on that rock. Instead, I am on the riverbank with Ridge.

He was speechless.

"Are you alright?" I asked him in confusion.

"Luna, your eyes, changed. I mean, when you opened your eyes, it's crystal blue. Your eyes turned into a wolf's eyes. You found your wolf!" his voice triumphs.

"What? Wait, you mean?"

"Yes, congratulations. You have your wolf, Luna. You just need to know how to call for it and shift," he told me.

"You mean the wolf is inside me now?"

"Yes, soon you can shift," he held my hand. He was so happy. And so I am.

"Yes, I can feel her inside me. My wolf. I have you now,"
