Chapter 65

LUNA POV

We are in the middle of the woods. I want to tremble as coldness embraces my whole body. I think, my coat isn't enough to warm me. I am riding in my father's back going to Mount Fury. My father told me, it will take us about four hours before arriving at the top of the mountain.

Honestly, I am feeling excited. I am excited to see the people and the small village on that mountain. I also want to see our distant relatives on my father's side.

Dad was in good condition today. Thanks to my blood. It saved the life of my father. He runs very fast passing through the large trees and thick bushes. There were huge logs everywhere and the forest was a little creepy in the early dawn.

We stopped for a few minutes to rest. Dad told me about his childhood life. He told me that it was Lucas' father and grandfather who killed his father, the former alpha of the Blazing flame pack. He added, that our pack was one of the strongest packs of the time. My dad didn't accept his throne as alpha and decided to live a peaceful life with my mother. The pack was ruined. Many pack members died and the remaining members flee to this mountain to hide.

After hours of travel, we finally reached the place. Three werewolves emerged out of nowhere and they recognized my father.

The three of them howled together and I felt nervous.

From the entrance of the village, a group of men with two women came. I can see the happiness on their faces.

They all together bowed down in respect to my father. I remained standing in my place. I can't believe I am looking at my father's pack.

A woman moved closer and she stares at me with joy. They looked very nice and welcoming.

"Alpha, thank you for coming back," the woman started to cry with joy.

"Rihan, this is my daughter Luna. We are here for the pack" my father spoke.

A man in a white shirt moved forward to talk to us.

"The pack is waiting for the both of you. We continued training our fighters. We are not that strong again but we want to be closer to what we are many years ago," he exclaimed.

"Lucas, the new alpha of the Madfur pack wants to dominate all other packs. Our pack is once again in danger. They managed to make their armies stronger and more powerful," my dad told them.

They looked at each other. I can clearly see how nervous they are.

"Come alpha, let's get inside. Other pack members were waiting for you," a man invited us.

We all walked to the village. There are small cottages inside. It is a small community and their lives were peaceful here.

There were old people, young and kids. They all welcomed us. I've never thought I will find my father's pack on a mountain. They've been in this place for many years.

They brought us to a huge cottage where there were men inside. I know they are all werewolves.

My eyes caught a man staring at me. His body was well-built. His eyes were deep and his pointed nose was just perfect for the whole structure of his face. I think he is the most handsome man in this village. I think he is older than me. Maybe, he has the same age as Hector.

He approached us but his eyes never left mine.

He turned to look at my dad and pays respect by bowing his head.

"Welcome, Alpha. We've been waiting for you. I am Ridge Spears. I am the son of Brandon Spears, your beta. When my father died, I took over as the new Beta of this pack. I trained the pack members to be fighters until the day that you will come back. Now, that you are here, we can see hope. Hope for this pack," he said.

Honestly, he was really handsome at a closer look. I am just admiring his beauty, but I don't like him. Hector is still the most handsome man in my eyes.

"Thank you, Ridge. Thank you for being a responsible Beta," dad hugged him.

He hugged my father but his eyes were on me.

I tried to look away. I felt awkward by the way he looks at me.

"By the way Ridge, this is my daughter Luna," my dad introduced me to him and to the people.

"Nice to meet you, Ridge," I smiled.

He held and shook my hand. I felt how he squeezed my hand and that was, well, there is really something in him but I don't care.

After a small talk with them, a woman in his late 40's guided me to a tree house near the huge cottage.

I was amazed to see how beautiful the tree house is. This is my first time staying in this kind of house. It is like a craftsman's bungalow in the branches. The tree house above is accessible by a three-tiered staircase leading to a veranda. It was brown in color and it's like they've been taking good care of the house for a long time.

The woman helped me go up the house and it was nice to be on top. I can see the beauty of the village from here and the busy people living happy life. I've never seen this kind of place in my whole life. Even my parents, my second parents would bring me to the woods, but this is something unique.

Inside the tree house was also beautiful. The furniture is simple yet elegant.

The woman said they prepared this for the alpha. That is why I and dad will stay here. I feel like I’m in a mini-castle in the middle of a small village.

Dad was still in a meeting with other werewolves. I enjoyed the food while waiting for him. I am a little shy to talk to people or walk around. I am not used to it.

I was sitting in the living room when my dad finally came with his beta behind him.

I stopped eating to welcome them.

"Luna, we need to know if you have your wolf with you," dad said.

"What do you mean dad?"

"Ridge will help in your training. You need to be trained like a fighter. That is the only way to determine if you have your wolf. You need to learn techniques how to call for your wolf," dad added.

I felt nervous knowing I will be trained.

"What if I don't have my wolf dad?" maybe I will just stay this way. A vulnerable woman with special blood.

"Don't worry Luna. I know you have your wolf. Just believe. Tomorrow you will begin with your training. I want you to focus. You can do this,"

I just nodded and agreed with what my father wanted me to do.

I looked up to see Ridge looking at me intensely.

So my trainer will be Ridge. Good luck to me.

"I need to leave you two for now. I still need to talk to the other pack members for some instructions. Ridge, please give the necessary instructions to my daughter," that was his last words before he left us.

Ridge looked directly into my eyes. I felt so small in front of him.

"So Luna, we will start with the training tomorrow. First, I need to condition myself. You need to be strong physically. If you really have the wolf, then maybe, it is waiting for you to be prepared first before it can come out." he was looking at me seriously and then to my lips. And I saw him bite his lower lips.

My brows furrow, I really don't know what he's up to.

"All right. Then see you tomorrow then Ridge," I turned around and was about to leave him to go to my room when he grabbed my arm.

I was shocked.

I fell on his strong and hard chest.

Our bodies are closer now and my face too.

I looked up to see him as he towers over me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

He looked at my lips and swallowed. I felt nervous.
