Chapter 62

LUNA POV

The moment Enrico told me that my mate and Jasmine will be getting married, I never believed him.

But when he brought me to the mansion and I saw it with my own two eyes that Hector and Jasmine are now couples, my whole world stopped.

I can't take that scene anymore so I immediately asked Enrico to help me get out of the place.

We are walking in the woods right now and Enrico was behind me. I told him that I want to walk. I want to feel the cold breeze in the woods to clear my mind.

It is like I'm walking in an endless path and my whole body was numb. If this is just a dream and a nightmare, I hope I will wake up soon.

"Luna, Hector is the new Alpha on their pack. He has a big responsibility and that is to protect his pack. Their pack is not enough to fight Lucas. So he needs to unite with Jasmine's pack. They need to be as one, to fight the Madfur Claw Pack. Lucas built a strong army recently combining his pack and the rogues. They are stronger than you think." I heard him spoke beside me.

I didn't dare to respond. I don't what to talk right now. All I want to do is to go back to his home and rest. I feel so tired right now.

"Luna, I think I need to shift now and you can ride on my back. We need to go back home as soon as possible. It is too dangerous here in the woods," he continued.

I sighed and turned to look at him.

"Why are you doing all of this Enrico?" I asked as I looked at him straight in the eye.

"Let's not discuss this one here. We can talk when we reach home," he replied.

I can sense that Enrico is hiding a secret from me. There is really something in this man in front of me.

I was about to say something when his expression suddenly changed and he looked around with panic.

"Luna, stay behind me. I can smell rogues,"

The moment those words came out of his mouth, two rogues emerged and aim for us.

Enrico immediately shift to his wolf form to protect me from their attack.

The rogues are determined to hurt us. Enrico's wolf pounced on one of them while the other lunged for him.

He was a good fighter and strong. But I think his wolf is not that strong to defeat this two rogues that easily.

The other rogue charged him and penetrated it's claws at his back. His wolf cried and attacked back.

"Enrico at your back!" I cried when I saw the other one rushed and stormed to take him down.

Enrico was able to avoid that attack.

I need to do something to help him. I looked around to find something that could help me. This sound crazy but I think a log and a stone could help.

Enrico pounced at one of the rogues while the other one went back on its feet and turned to look at me.

I heard a howl as the other rogue fell on the ground with blood splattered around when Enrico killed the enemy in an instant.

Enrico's wolf grew weak and wasn't able to stand up.

The other rogue aim for me exposing its animalistic claws and teeth to puncture me. I prepared the log and the stone on my hand. It might not work but this is the only way to protect myself.

Enrico came to protect me and stabbed the enemy using his claws. The rogues fell on the ground and Enrico came to check on me.

I saw his wolf's eyes full of worry.

"I'm alright Enrico" I saw his wolf nodded.

I can't explain, but how on earth was I able to understand his wolf.

The last time I felt a connection like this was with my mate. I always feel connected with Hector's wolf and can even understand what he was feeling.

Enrico fought the rogues once more until it felt lifeless on the ground.

Enrico's fur was full of blood. He asked me to ride on his back and so I did.

I will not wait anymore for other rogues to come and attack us. His wolf ran so fast. I tightened my grip on his neck. I don't want to fell on the ground. I think that would hurt a lot.

We arrived home safe and I saw Mrs. Fox waiting for us in front of the door.

She approached us and hugged me tight.

Enrico's wolf growl looking at the bushes. Mrs. Fox pulled me to get in the house.

From the woods another two rogues emerged. It can't be. They found us.

Enrico prepared himself as the rogues ran towards us.

Enrico's wolf shielded us and with full strength, he attacked the two together.

I don't think he can still manage to fight this two rogues. I felt worried.

"Luna, let's get inside. Enrico can handle them. Let's go!" she pulled me again but I tried to stop her.

"I will not leave him here Mrs. Fox. We need to get something. A weapon, or anything that could help him. Enrico's wolf is tired”

"Wait for me, I will get something inside" she hurriedly went in and I've turned to look at the fight again.

I saw a rake on one side and an idea popped in my mind. I can't stand here and do nothing.

I reached for the rake and run towards one of the rogues. I hit his back with the rake and it turned to look at me.

It growl with anger and jumped towards me. I am determined to fight this bastard so I use the rake to aim for his eyes.

It was successful and the rogue howl in pain. I saw blood flowing from his eyes and he lost the focus.

“See, I can kill you using this rake,” I told the rogue.

Mrs. Fox emerged on my side carrying a gun. I was definitely shock to see her with a gun.

"Mrs. Fox, do you know how to use that?" she nodded and raised the gun to shoot the rogue in front of me.

Three shots and the rogue fell dead on the ground.

I was left frozen for few seconds before I turned to look at her.

"Wow, you are a good shooter. I never knew that," she was panting while I was still in shock.

Enrico on the other side gave his final blow and ripped the rogue into pieces.

I can smell blood around me. Enrico's wolf approached us. He was clearly tired from the fighting.

I was about to run to him when I saw his wolf collapsed on the ground. His wolf cried in pain and I saw blood coming from his stomach.

I don't know what to do. He was hurt. His wound is deep.

Mrs. Fox run towards his wolf and she trembles.

She turned to look at me and her eyes full of tears. I swallowed as horror filled my senses. Enrico might die.

"Luna, do something” her voice trembles in fear.

“Luna, we need your blood. You need to save your father!" she said.

Father? I was left frozen.
