Chapter 64

LUNA POV

My eyelids were heavy and my head still ached. I tried to get up from the bed. Mrs. Fox approached to stop me.

"Dear, please rest. Don't force yourself. You need to rest." I can sense how worried she is.

The door opened, and my dad came in. He didn't say anything and went closer to hug me tight.

I can feel the warmth of his arms and having my father beside me calms everything.

"I am glad you are awake, Luna," his voice was shaking.

He looked me in the eyes. His teary eyes show how worried he is.

"What happened, Dad? I... I have this...ahm... voice. A voice in my mind. I don't understand. I want to understand what the voice is telling me but it puzzles me," I want to know why this is happening to me.

"I think, I need to leave you and your dad for a while. I need to cook something in the kitchen," Mrs. fox left.

My dad was looking out from the window. I know there is still something that I need to know.

I'm waiting for him to speak and he turned to look at me.

"I remember that day when I was in the woods. I don't want to see my father, I want to be away from him. I don't want to be the alpha of the Blazing flame pack." he said.

I was stunned. Blazing flame pack?

"What? You mean, you are a pure-blooded werewolf. So..."

"I ran in the woods. Hoping my father will not see me. I don't want the responsibility of an Alpha. Until I met your mother in the woods. My whole life stopped when I saw her with a basket full of flowers.”

He smiled as he remembered those days. I can see how he loves my mother.

“I fell in love with her and left the life I have. It was when she got pregnant that I knew about her family and her blood. Werewolf packs chased us, they want your mother's blood. You were born in spring when flowers bloom. Your mom's bloodline runs into your blood Luna. We thought, it's only your mom's blood but I can see that you also got mine," he continued.

"What do you mean? Of course, I will carry your and mom's blood. You are my parents in the first place," I replied.

"Your blood is as special and powerful as your mom's blood. And Luna, I am a werewolf with alpha blood, which..."

And a realization hits me, he was right. He is a werewolf. Could I be a werewolf too?

"Dad, please continue. Tell me everything,"

He held my hands.

"Luna, you are also a werewolf," my father said.

I was speechless. I swallowed hard, I felt nervous as I hear everything from him.

"Dad, you said ahm, are you sure?” I can't believe this is happening.

I am a simple human being all my life and now, here's my dad telling me I'm a werewolf. I already accepted a few weeks ago that my blood is special but I am a werewolf, I think I don't want to believe it.

"Dad, it's impossible. Maybe I'm not. Maybe I am just like mom. I didn't shift my whole life. I didn't see any signs of werewolf fur or claws in any parts of my body. That is really impossible,"

"Luna, the voice in your head. Try to know the voice. And we will know," he told me.

The voice. Yes, it's been talking to me. And my body aches every time I will hear the voice. Many times, the voice saved me. In times of danger, the voice came to my mind.

I need to clear my mind. I can't focus.

"Luna, there is only one way for us to know. We need to go home to my pack. The blazing flame pack."

"The pack. Do you mean, we have a pack? Oh, well. You mean, they are still alive?"

"They were in the mountains, Luna. Hiding all their lives. Lucas and other rogues are a threat to all packs. We don't want that the Madfur pack will know that we still exist. His father and grandfather destroyed our pack and killed the elders." he stated.

"How about Hector Dad, he needs to know that I'm safe," my mate. I need to see him.

"Luna, I know you love him. You need to prepare before you come back. You are still weak and vulnerable without your wolf,"

So my dad is really trying to convince me that I am a werewolf.

"Luna, your mate, and Jasmine tight their knot and they were in a war with Lucas. Your mate needs strong people to surround him."

I felt the tears fall from my eyes. I don't want to believe that Hector and Jasmine really got married.

"Don't cry, Luna. Be strong. If destiny permits, you and Hector will be together someday,"

"Yes Dad, you are right. I just miss him so much. I love my mate."

I can’t wait for that day to come that we will see each other again. I hope his love for me will never change.

"Dad, about Lucas, what is the extent of his knowledge about me?"

Lucas is our mortal enemy. I hate him for killing Ellie and for trying to destroy my mate.

"Maybe he knew about your bloodline and maybe about me. Their family knows everything about our family's secret. But for Hector's family, their knowledge is limited," he revealed.

I nodded. I really need to prepare. Lucas will come for me. He will never stop. I know, anytime, he can find me.

"When are we going to that mountain Dad? We need to find your pack. We need to prepare." I am determined to know more about my ability.

If my dad is right, I could be a werewolf too, then we need to be in a hurry.

Time is running and we should not waste any time.

"You rest now Luna, we need to leave the house, early dawn tomorrow. You can ride on my back, so we can arrive at the place faster,"

"How about Mrs. Fox?" we need to come together. I don't want to leave her.

"I invited her to come Luna, but she doesn't want to. She wants to stay," my dad took a deep breath.

"Dad, it will be too dangerous if she will not come. The enemy might find her,"

"Don't worry Luna, I placed something around the perimeter to hide our scent. The rogues can't find this place easily," he assured me.

"Alright dad, I trust you." I hugged him before he left me in the room.

I went closer to the window to look outside. Nature is a magical place for me. It was amazing to be with nature.

If I am a werewolf, that's an advantage. At least, I can protect myself and I can go back to my mate. I will be able to fight Lucas. I will revenge for my mom, my brother, and Ellie.

It will not be easy for me to discover these things, I know there are still problems that might come along the way, but I need to be strong.

"I will return to you, Hector. I want you to know that I am still alive. You will see a new me. And we will both fight in a war. For our freedom and the freedom of all other packs,"
