Chapter 63

LUNA POV

I can see so much blood coming from his stomach. His wound was serious and he is in danger now.

We brought him inside the house. I hope there will be no more rogues who will come to attack us.

I don't know what to do. It was a mix of emotions right now. I heard it right, Mrs. Fox mentioned the word father. So everything makes sense, this man in front of me is my father.

"Luna, we need your blood. Use it to heal your father," I heard her quavering voice.

"What do I need to do?" I'm seriously worried and scared.

Mrs. Fox hurriedly went to the kitchen. She went back with a knife in her hand.

"Here Luna, cut your skin. Then place your bloody hand in his wound. Hurry, do it now before it's too late," I just nodded and do what she told me.

I felt a slight pain as I started to cut myself. I don't care how much it would hurt me, as long as I will be able to save his life.

I saw the crimson red blood flowing from my wound and I placed my hands into his wound.

I hope this blood would be enough to save his life. He saved and protected me from those rogues. If not because of him, I am dead by this time.

I started to sob as I saw his condition.

"Dear, don't cry. He will be fine soon. Remember how powerful your blood is. It will save him. You just need to wait for a few minutes," Mrs. Fox moved closer to me.

"Thank you, Mrs. Fox. I hope everything will be alright,"

We waited for a few minutes and I saw how the wound started to heal. It was amazing to know how powerful my blood is. It can heal a serious wound. I remember my mate, I hope I can be by his side forever and be the medicine whenever he will sustain wounds in a fight.

Enrico tried to move but Mrs. Fox stopped him.

"Enrico, please stay where you are. Your wound is not yet completely healed. Let me clean you first,"

Mrs. Fox went to get some towels and hot water to clean the blood from his body.

I was left on one side watching them. I don't know what to do or what to say.

It took Mrs. Fox a few minutes before she finished cleaning his wounds and the blood.

"Betty, can you leave us first? I want to talk to Luna," I heard Enrico speak to Mrs. Fox.

She nodded and turned to look at me. I saw a glimpse of happiness in her eyes as she went out of the room.

Now, I am left with Enrico in the room. I felt nervous. I need to talk to him. I have so many things to ask him. I want to know everything.

"Luna, come closer. We need to talk," I felt shy at first but I need to do this.

"I'm sorry, I didn't tell you the truth the first time we met. I am scared to tell you that I'm your real father," I felt weakness in his voice. I didn't reply.

"I've been hiding in this place for so long years. I decided to stay away from you. I don't want you to be in danger. That is why I let Peter and Anne be your parents and your family. I want you to have a normal life. Away from the werewolf world," he explained.

I look at him in the eyes. I can see tears forming in his eyes.

"Your face, nose, and mouth are like your mother Isabelle. But your eyes, you got it from me," he smiled.

I also smiled as I realized that his eyes were the same as mine. Now I know why his eyes look very familiar. It's because I am just looking at the reflection of my own eyes in his eyes.

"The day your mom was killed by rogues, my life was ruined. I love her more than my life. I wasn't there when your mom was killed. I'm not there to protect my family. That is why I'm so thankful to Peter and Anne for saving you," I can see the loneliness in his face.

"They killed my mother because of her blood?" I asked.

"Yes, Luna. Everyone wanted her blood so they killed her and drank her blood. Your mother came from a bloodline and her family's blood was very special." he tried to sit down so I helped him.

"Did you miss me? Did you think about me?"

"Yes, you are always in my heart and my mind Luna. That is why I even asked Betty to look after you. Those times your parents will bring you to the forest for camping, I was there. I always visit to see you. That is their way to bring you close to me." he continued.

"I never knew you were there those times when we were in the forest. I thought it was just some wild animals making noise while I'm in the forest. Maybe that was you," he held my hand. The warmth of his hands sends peace and calmness to my being.

"When your mother died, I started hating myself too. I spent years in this forest, to carry the burden and loneliness all by myself Luna,"

I felt tears falling from my eyes. I never imagined this day would come when I will meet my real father and will talk to him this way.

"When Betty told me that the pack Alphas knew about your blood and finally found you, I felt so scared Luna. I've searched for you. I want to pull you away from their world and keep you safe," he revealed.

"Thank you for coming and saving me, Dad," I moved closer and hugged him tightly.

I sobbed as I felt his strong arms wrapped around me. I am so glad, my father was still alive. I am here beside him and he was safe now.

"Stop crying, my princess. Everything will be fine. I promised you," he tried to calm me.

"I thought I am already alone in this world after mom Anne and Dad Peter died. Then my brother died too. My best friend was killed by Lucas. I am away from my mate. I have nothing to lean on except myself. I felt helpless. But now you are here," I continued crying.

"Don't worry Luna. I am here now, I will never leave you. I will protect you,"

"Thank you Dad"

"Look at me my princess, I want you to be strong. I want you to be ready for everything that might come along the way,"

"Yes, Dad. I will."

He wiped the tears from my face.

It took us a few minutes in this way. We talked about a lot of things, especially memories of my real mother. He told me how caring and the loving person my mom is. That she has a good heart. Dad told me how much my mother loves me. And how thankful they were to have me.

"Are you hungry Dad? Do you want something to eat?" I'm sure he was hungry by this time. I want to serve him just like how I served and cared for Dad Peter before.

"Yes Luna, please," he replied.

I smiled and decided to go to the kitchen to prepare some food.

I was almost at the door when my vision suddenly blurred and I felt my head ached. I heard the familiar voice again in my mind.

"Luna are you alright?" I heard Dad Enrico from behind.

I can't even respond as my head is aching and the voice in my mind is getting louder.

"Luna, set me free! Set me free!" I heard the voice speaking to me.

"Luna, set me free!" I can't take this anymore.

The pain is tormenting me; it is like my head will explode at any moment.

I tried to compose myself but I can't do anything.

The voice is consuming my mind until I felt weak and everything turned black
