Chapter 73

LUNA POV

 I need to find him. Hector, I’m coming. I tried to avoid the rogues and the fighting around me. I need to leave the camp and find him. I know, he's in danger. I can feel it.

I passed behind some tents just to make sure that the rogues would not see me. I tried to move quickly when I felt a hand grabbing my arm. I turned to see Emmanuel King. Hector's uncle. I didn't expect to see him.

"Mr. King, ahm... you're here," I told him.

"Yes, Luna. And you need to come with me," there was an urgency in his voice.

"Is there something wrong?" I can see how worried he is. But I felt an unfamiliar feeling. I think my instinct was trying to tell me something.

"Hector is in danger. He needs your blood. He was fighting Lucas and got wounded by a silver. He needs you, Luna. Come with me," he pulled me.

I didn't protest, I just run with him. If it is about Hector, then I don't have time to think anymore. I need to get to him and help my mate.

Mr. King showed me a way outside the camp. This path leads us far from the crowd of rogues.

Outside the camp, there were lots of rogues. The allied packs are trying to stop them. Mr. King didn't leave my hand. He is moving very fast pulling my hands to follow him.

Maybe he was worried about Hector. I just need to cooperate until he will bring me to my mate.

From a distance, I saw the wolf's body, lifeless and full of blood. Lucas was a demon, how could he stand this kind of situation, many died because of his ambitions.

We moved deeper and I'm just shocked to see rogues looking at us. Only looking and not attacking. Are they giving us the way?

There is something wrong.

We finally reached a clearing. This place is like a savannah. From a distance, I saw Hector and he was lying in the grass. He was clearly in pain. I almost run towards him but Mr. King stopped me.

"Relax Luna. We will get there. Just stay beside me, until we reached there," Mr. King whispered.

I was confused. My wolf struggles inside me. There is something wrong and I felt scared.

I also noticed that this area was surrounded by rogues. There were some wolves from our side but they are being outnumbered us. They are just standing like preparing for an attack.

We walked closer, and I saw Lucas in his human form. He proudly stood up naked waiting for us.

My jaw clenched, I see him as a demon, and I want to shift to kill him.

I need to wait, there's a right time to attack.

I felt worried and scared for my mate. The poison from the silver is killing him slowly. A few meters away from my mate, I saw my dad. He has a wound too. My dad is still moving but he looks so weak.

Opposite them were the alphas from the other pack. Rogues and Lucas' armies surrounded them. They all sustained wounds. From their faces, I can see that the wound was caused by silver.

I heard a howl, it was Ridge and Stefan. They were with the rest of the pack, but they can't even attack. Lucas was threatening everyone not to move or the alphas will die.

Lucas has many armies and rogues. We are fewer than them, even the combined numbers of another pack can stand to fight them. It was dangerous to make a move.

Lucas stood up in a huge stone in front of us. He was like celebrating a triumph. He looks at me with a smirk on his face. I felt anger inside me burning like a fire. Any moment from now, I think I will explode in anger.

"Werewolves! Bow down to me! Your alphas are nothing. They were struggling to death. I will kill them any moment and all of you will serve me," she yelled so everyone can hear him.

I remained in my place, I saw my mate. He was looking at me. There was so much blood from his wound, I need to help him or else he will die.

I saw my dad, he was also looking at me. From the way he looks, I know he knows my plan.

"Look, my precious Luna is finally here. Your blood will complete my mission. You will be my queen, and your blood will give me endless power," he said while looking at me.

"Thank you, Emmanuel King, you betrayed your nephew just to help me. You will get what you want. As I promised," Lucas revealed.

I turned to look at Emmanuel. I can't bare his betrayal. How could he do this to Hector?

"You, why did you do this? You believe that this bastard will fulfill his promise?" I spit out my anger.

"This is the only way for me to survive Luna. I know Hector can't defeat Lucas. He is very powerful," he declared.

"You idiot. You have the alpha blood but you are stupid for believing Lucas," I told him as he grabbed my arm and brought me closer to Lucas.

I tried to free myself from his grip but his hold was too tight.

"Here Lucas. She's yours. Do whatever you like to do with her," Mr. King said.

I glare at him with my furious look. I can't believe this man was once the alpha of the Blacktooth Guardians pack.

Lucas grabbed me going to his side. I was disgusted to feel him touching me.

"Let me go, Lucas!"

"Stop moving my queen, you are now mine, forever!" he said as he smelled my hair.

Lucas raised his right hand and five wolves went closer. In an instant, they all at once attacked Mr. King.

Mr. King didn't expect the attack. It was too late for him to shift. The wolves bite him in his arms, legs, and lastly in his neck.

Red blood filled my vision as his blood spattered everywhere. My stomach twisted looking at the scene.

Lucas spoke beside me, his touch was different, as if teasing Hector who's suffering right now.

"Do you like what you are witnessing love? I did this for you. This war is for you. No one can have you, only me," he said.

I don't want to listen to what he was saying. All I want to do was to save my mate and my dad.

His armies surrounded us. Outside the circles are the werewolves from our side. They can't even move. They fear that Lucas might kill the alphas if they make any movement.

I turned to look at Lucas, his eyes were full of lust as always.

"You want me? Alright, I am here now. Stop this war, Lucas. Take me and stop the war," I said.

He just laughs as if something is funny.

"I will not do that love. Yes, I will take you after and claim you as mine. But I will kill these alphas first, including your mate," he said.

"You are a demon Lucas. I will kill you if you ever touch my mate," I can feel my wolf inside me. She feels my emotion and she was trying to convince me to shift.

I pulled myself away from Lucas. He let me go and stared at me.

"Be obedient love. Anyway, you can't do anything. You are helpless. Just stay where you are and watch how I kill your mate," his words strike me.

We both look at my mate. She shifts back into his human form. He looks pale. He lost so much blood.

I looked around and saw my pack preparing for an attack. I saw Ridge, he nodded his head. I got his message and I know what to do.

Lucas was celebrating, poor innocent Lucas. I will bring you to your death.

I stood meters away from him. I felt my sharp teeth slowly grow. My wolf is very ready.

Without a word, I shift and pounced on him.
