Chapter 36

LUNA POV

I am so scared thinking I may lose the man I love. I can't stand to see Hector in pain as Lucas tried to kill him earlier. This is the first time I felt as scared as hell.

I need to do this. My blood is the key for Hector to defeat the Madfur claw alpha.

I was able to convince him to slice my arm. We need blood to heal his wound and to have some drops on his mouth.

I hope this would work. This should work.

Hector exposed his claws to gently penetrate my skin. It hurts a lot. But I need to be strong for my mate.

I saw crimson red fluid coming out from the wound. My stomach twisted. I am not used to seeing blood, especially my own blood.

I tried to place the hand on my wound. As my hands were soaked in blood, I placed my hand on his wounds. Allowing my blood to scatter in his wounds. His wolf moved and I can see that the blood calms his body.

"Do you feel better, Hector?" I asked.

His wolf nodded, and I felt happy. I think it is working.

I offered my arm to him.

"Hector, lick the blood in my arm. Taste it. Do it now, you need strength," I quietly said.

Hector did what I told him. He licked the blood on my arm. Every single blood. It was a little painful, but knowing my mate was licking my blood, gave a different kind of sweet sensation.

Hector finally went back to his feet. In an instant, I can see that he was gaining strength. His wounds started to heal.

I was amazed. My blood was really powerful. With my own eyes, I can see my mate gaining the strength that werewolves would want to have.

Lucas turned to us in surprise as he look at Hector who slowly stood up as if nothing happened earlier.

"You betrayed me, Luna. What did you do?" Lucas shouted as he shifts back to his wolf form.

I stepped back and Hector lunged for Lucas too.

They both rolled to the ground as they tried to bite one another. I have faith in my mate. He was stronger than before. Thanks to my blood.

Hector made it on top of Lucas as he pounced and sank his teeth into his thick fur. His blood-splattered and it made me dizzy. I was cheering with joy.

Hector was able to hurt Lucas so badly. Hector put all his weight onto Lucas as his claw squeezed Lucas' neck.

Lucas wolf tried to fight back but Hector was so fast to sink his teeth onto his neck this time.

Lucas wolf howl in pain. I can see that my mate was determined to kill Lucas in front of me.

Lucas howled again as if it were a signal. And I wasn't wrong, it was really a signal. We heard noises coming in our direction. There are many wolves coming. They are coming for their alpha. Lucas was a dick. He was a coward and as always, he betrayed us again.

Lucas was able to free himself from Hector's wolf even though he was a bath in his blood.

Hector shifts to his human form and approached me.

"We need to go, Luna, there are more wolves coming. I need to ensure your safety," he told me. I nodded as I followed him to the black car.

Stefan and Francis were awake but still weak. They have wounds all over their body.

We helped them stand up as we went inside Hector's car.

We saw a lot of wolves coming for us.

Hector used his keys to drive his car away from the angry wolves.

I looked at the side mirror. The enemies are still behind us.

"Hector we are being chased!" I want to freak out.

"Relax, baby. My car is still faster than those ugly wolves behind us," he said.

Hector was a good fighter and good at driving too. He drove the car very fast. He told me that we cannot go back to my house anymore. The enemy knew the place.

We traveled for more than thirty minutes and reached Medford. The nearest city is Ashland.

Medford's climate is considerably warmer, both in summer and winter. We were welcome with tall buildings and some attractive spots in the place.

We also passed by a pear plantation. In school, I've learned that Medford is the shipping point of pears. People grew pears and sells them to different parts of Oregon. This place is a headquarters for the Rogue River National Forest and a trading center for fruit and truck-farm produce.

"Hector, where are we going to stay here?" I asked him. I think we need to bring Stefan and Francis to the hospital first. They are badly injured.

"We will bring them to my cousin's house. My cousin is a doctor. He is specialized in werewolves’ wounds," Hector told me.

After a few minutes on the road, we finally arrived at his cousin's house.

The house was secured. He has his own bodyguards outside. We were welcomed by his attendant.

It was a big white house with a huge swimming pool outside. The interior was plain white. The chandelier from above glistened with gold and it was so attractive.

The attendants helped Francis and Stefan and brought them to one of the rooms.

I looked around and saw someone coming down the elegant stairs.

It was a handsome man and his hair is long. He is wearing a white suit. He looked at Hector and then at me.

"Welcome to my place cousin, nice to see you again," he approached my mate and they both hugged each other.

"Ryan, this is Luna. Luna, this is Ryan, my cousin," Hector introduced.

"Nice to meet you, Ryan," I said.

"It's so nice to meet you, Luna. I am glad you are all safe," he replied.

"Ryan, my friends are badly injured. They need your help," Hector told his cousin.

The three of us rushed to the room where they lay Francis and Stefan.

Ryan checked their wounds. I can see that they've been tortured. My heart breaks to see them in this condition.

"Hector, they are weak. They've been tortured so badly. Their wounds are serious," Ryan revealed.

"I know you can heal them. I know you have medicines prepared for situations like this." I can feel Hector is worried about his friends.

"Hector, they used silver to torture them," Ryan continued.

"What? So, what can we do now? If the wounds were caused by silver, then their lives were in danger. Ryan, please do something," Hector pleaded.

Ryan took a deep breath. He was scanning the wounds. He looked at his cousin.

"My medicines can't do anything to help them, but Luna's blood can help," Ryan said as he turned to me.
