Chapter 180
**A Month later**
**Megan**
“Right this is annoying me,” Julie says, sitting down at the cafeteria table. I look up from my tray of food at her in confusion. “You and Melanie need to make up,”
“She’s the one that’s fallen out with me,” I state.
“Yeah, and you act like you don’t care,”
“Because I don’t,” I clarify and bite into my sandwich. Yasmin walks over and sits next to me.
“And why are you friends with Courtney?” she asks. I’ve been waiting for the questions regarding Courtney.
“Yeah, when did that happen?” Yasmin asks.
“Courtney and I have been friends before, we just started talking is all,” I say.
“Well, whatever, I just want you and Melanie to be friends again, it’s difficult to split ourselves between you both,” Julie states.
“She’s the one you should talk to, she won’t give me the time of day, but I’ll make it easier for you. You don’t have to split yourselves, sit with her, talk to me when you don’t have to choose,” I say and stand up.
“Oh don’t be like that,”
“Julie, I’m not angry at you. I really don’t care if you sit with her and hang out with her. I know you’re still my friends,”
“Are you sure?” Julie asks.
“Yeah, her anger will fade, there’s only a month or so left of school, I’ll spend lunch with Courtney or something,” I haven’t told them that Logan and I are back together and I don’t intend to, although I think Yasmin knows. “I’ll talk to you both later,” I say and put the rest of my food in the bin.
Walking out of the cafeteria, I make my way to the music room. Opening the door, I see Logan and Carl both sitting at the piano. Logan looks at me as I shut the music room door.
“Are you ok?” he asks.
“Yeah, Julie is stressing out over the fact Melanie and I aren’t friends,”
“Is she still not talking to you? Have you told her you’re not screwing her brother anymore?” Carl asks.
“No, I thought she would figure it out, I’ve not been to her house in weeks, I’m not even talking to Brendon,” I explain.
Logan and Carl seemed to be doing better. Logan started talking to him about a week after we got back together, which is a relief. I explained to him I didn’t want to come between them as they are too good as friends. He told me, he kind of liked Carl thinking he was angry with him because it meant he didn’t tease him as much. He said he actually forgave him that Monday morning but thought it was more fun to have him grovelling a little bit.
“Although I think she’s mad at me over that too,” I say. They both frown at me. “Yasmin told me that she blames me for what he did to Logan,”
“Really?” Carl asks, surprised.
“Yeah, it's,” I stop when I feel a wave of dizziness overtake me. Moving my hand to my head, I try to steady myself.
“Are you ok?” Logan asks as he stands up.
“Yeah, I just feel dizzy and exhausted,”
“Told you, you were working her too much,”
“Shut up, Carl,” I snap. Logan moves me to sit in the chair he was seated in. “I’m probably just dehydrated, I didn’t eat my lunch, and well I missed breakfast,” I state.
“I’ll go get you something to eat,”
“No, it’s ok, I’ll eat when we get home,” I say, pulling him back to me. “I’m just tired,”
“Are you sure?” I nod in response before pressing a few keys on the piano. “What are you guys doing in here?”
“Discussing the final touches of the charity concert,”
“You said, yes?” I ask Logan, and he nods with a sigh. I chuckle and look at Carl, “What did you offer him?”
“My body,”
“Alrighty then,” and raise an eyebrow to Logan. “You have something to tell me?”
“He’s irresistible,” he says, making me smile. “Plus he promised me anal,” and I burst out laughing. I can’t deal with these two sometimes. When Logan is in a playful mood, and he can deal with Carl’s teasing, he’s worse than him.
“I have follow up questions,” I say between laughs.
“I’ve prepared myself, don't worry,” Carl says, and I shake my head in response.
“I can’t deal with you two,” I say and get up. “I’m gonna go find Courtney, I’ll leave you two to you know,” I say and walk out of the classroom to go in search of Courtney.

Logan wraps his arms around me as I fill a glass up with water at the sink. I got home before him; he had meetings, so David picked Sandra and me up. When I came home, instead of studying for my finals I’m sunbathing. It’s so hot I don’t think I’d be able to. That means Sandra and I are chilling out in the garden by the pool.
Sandra is a dark horse under all the pantsuits she has the hottest body I’ve ever seen. I almost lost my bottom jaw when she walked out in the bathing suit. She’s curvy and muscular; I didn’t even know that was possible. She said it was thanks to her Latino heritage.
“How was your meeting?” I ask.
“Good. It was about the scheduling of the exams,”
“Oh, how fun,” I say with a roll of my eyes and turn to look at him.
“Who is that?” he asks, frowning as he looks out of the window to the pool.
“Sandra,”
“No,”
“Yes,”
“Wow,”
I frown and fold my arms to him.
“You can stop staring now,” I say. He glances down at me then back up to then look back down at me.
“Sorry, just not what I expected,”
“I know,” I mutter and look down at my own body.
“Stop what you’re thinking,” he orders. I look up at him, “You’re beautiful,” he tells me.
“But not wow,”
“I can’t win this conversation no matter what I do,” he says. “I’m going to stop while I’m ahead,” He then steps back from me as Lorraine walks in.
“I’m making greek wraps for dinner, are you both ok with that?” she asks and then looks at us both. “If you two are having sex in this kitchen I swear I will beat you with a wooden spoon, Logan,” she says while glaring at Logan.
“We’re not and why just me,” he asks, looking at her, and I smile.
“Because I can’t be angry with Megan, David and I have decided that she’s basically our adopted daughter, she’s too sweet to be mad at,” she explains and moves my hair into place. I look at Logan and stick my tongue out at him before walking back outside with the drinks for Sandra.
Sitting back on my lounge chair, I place her drink next to her and then lean back. She sits up and goes to take a drink.
“How old are you Sandra?” I ask.
“28,”
“You’re still so young, how did you get into doing this kind of work?”
“My own personal circumstances, when I was 18, my best friend had a stalker, the police didn’t do much to protect her, and she ended up murdering her. They didn’t take her stalker seriously because it was a girl; they thought she couldn’t do anything to her. They even said to her ‘what is the worst she can do,’ turns out a lot when she has a 9mm in her hand,” she explains.
“Wow,”
“Yeah, I promised myself I wouldn’t allow shit like that to happen again,” she looks at me and smiles. “I’d love to put a bullet in Jonothan’s head,” she says, and I laugh.
“Will you tell me your real name when that happens?” I ask.
“What makes you think Sandra isn’t my real name?”
“You don’t always answer it,” I say with a laugh. My phone rings, she looks at it and raises an eyebrow as Brendan’s name flashes at me.
“That boy doesn’t give up, does he? Have you told him you’re back with Logan?”
“No, only Courtney and Chloe know,”
“Tell him, and he might leave you alone,”
“I don’t want him to leave me alone, I’m just still angry with him, what he did was such an invasion of privacy, I’m not sure how to approach him with it. Do I still be friends with him? Or do I cut ties?”
“He’s a good friend who made a bad choice, it’s really up to you,” she says as she lays on to her stomach. “You know I forgot how nice it is to relax,”
“What do you do when you go home?”
“Train then sleep, the company I work for have regular fitness tests,”
“But isn’t that boring?”
“It can be, but we get time off, and we have great benefits, the men that own it are great guys, they made the company after leaving the army,” she explains to me.
“Well, as long as you enjoy it, my mom would always tell me not to do a job I dislike after all you spend nearly a third of your adult life working. It should be in something you enjoy,”
“I enjoy it, I like it more when I get to beat shitty people up, I wish I had been there that day with Tyler,” she says with a small smile.
“Yeah, I enjoyed it, I felt bad for him though,” I pause and lay on my stomach too. “His dad had been threatening to send him off to the army for years,”
“Maybe it will teach him how to treat people,”
“Maybe,” I say and close my eyes. I’m so tired; my body even feels tired. I just need to rest my eyes.
Yawning, I feel hands move down my back. I open my eyes to see Logan stood above me.
“Lorraine is nearly done with the food,”
“What? That was quick,”
“You’ve been asleep,” he states, making me frown.
“No, I haven’t,”
“You have, ask Sandra when you go in,” he says, moving to sit where Sandra was laying. I close my eyes and yawn again. “Maybe we should have an early night,”
“If we have an early night, I don’t think we will sleep early,” I say looking at him.
“Yes we will, I can go a night,” he says with a cheeky grin. I smile and slowly get up from the sun lounger. I yawn again as I stand. “You have made green my favourite colour,” he says, commenting on the colour of my bikini.
Logan stands to wrap an arm around my shoulders. He pulls me into him. His body is warm to the touch, which means he’s been out here a little while. Moving my hands over his stomach, I pull him to me.
“How long have I been asleep?”
“About an hour,” he says and kisses my forehead. “Why are you so tired?” he asks.
“I’m probably due on my period, I usually get like this when I’m due on,” I say and kiss his neck.
“So I have to go longer?” he asks, and I laugh at the disappointment in his voice.
“You’re such a horny dog,” I say and walk with him back into the house.
