Daniel was so glad to be back to work.


He noticed a new development, their company model has been changed,


The new model was Mathilda and she has a meeting with Daniel after the meeting he's having with the investors.


Daniel went to his off and saw piled up file waiting to be signed.


The quality of the papers made he scared at first.


'I can do this" Daniel said to himself trying to motivate himself.


He ignored the files and prepared himself for the meeting because nothing must go wrong with the meeting it was a multi million deal.


The meeting lasted for hours and came out a success.


'Am a genius" Daniel praised himself as he was happy about the outcome of the meeting.


He went back to his office to continue his day activities in a very good mood.


He heard a knock at the door.


'Who is it? You can comes" Daniel told the person to come in.


A tall and beautiful lady with a nice curve entered the room and he was surprised to see her.


'How may I help you?" Daniel asked as he wondered what she was doi in his office or probably she lost her way.


'Good day Mr Daniel" she greeted.


'Good day ma'am" Daniel replied politely.


'I am Mathilda the new company model" Mathilda introduced herself.


'Oh Mathilda you are welcome" Daniel said as he remembered he was informed that they changed the company's model due to some private iss.


'Thank you sir" Mathilda said as she sat down.


'So miss Mathilda what can I do for you?" Daniel asked as he was wondering why she came to his office.


'I dropped a file on your desk earlier on for you to read and I don't know if you have read" Mathilda said.


'Oh a file, what's it about?" Daniel asked curiously as he was trying to figured out the file.


'You and I are supposed to go for a business trip together by next tomorrow" Mathilda said.


'A business trip?" Daniel asked surprised because he wasn't aware of the trip.


'Yes" Mathilda replied.


'We have a meeting with a foreign client and what to do a shoot with the company's model" Mathilda explained.


Daniel finally got a hold of the file and read the criteria needed for the trip.


'Oh that true" Daniel said as he read the contract well.


'I have been on leave for a while now, I went for my honeymoon so I wasn't around" Daniel explained to Mathilda.


'I am just resuming today and I haven't gone through the files on my table so that why I am surprised" Daniel added.


'Okay sir I was informed by your secretary" Mathilda said.


'Okay good thanks for the notice because I can't afford to turn down that company offer they are one of our biggest investor" Daniel explained.


'I just came to remind you about the trip" Mathilda said as she stood from the chair.


'Okay miss Mathilda, thanks for the notice" Daniel said as Mathilda took her leave.


'A trip? Why now?" Daniel said talking to no one in particular because he just got from a trip.


Daniel attended to the files he could and did the needful before leaving for the day.

He got home and was surprised that Vanessa wasn't at home because she didn't tell him she was going anywhere.


'Where did she go?" Daniel wondered.


He picked up his phone to call her when he sited her coming inside the house.


'There she comes" Daniel said as Vanessa walked inside the house.


'Hi Daniel" Vanessa greeted Daniel.


'You didn't tell me you will be going out" Daniel said to Vanessa.


'Oh yes my bad" Vanessa said as she remembered she didn't tell Daniel tell Daniel about her date with Allyson.


'I had a date with my Bestie Allyson we had a girlie chat and didn't know time was fast spent" Vanessa explained to Daniel why she got back home late.


'And you how was your?" Vanessa asked Daniel.


'Stressful I guess" Daniel replied.


'I am going on a business trip a day after tomorrow" Daniel added.


'Why?" Vanessa asked curiously.


'It's an important meeting and I have to go with the company model because we will be having a shoot" Daniel explained.


'That will be stressful though because you just got back" Vanessa said to Daniel as she felt he needs to rest.


'I know right, but I don't have a choice" Daniel said.


'Yh I know" Vanessa said as both went to the room to freshen up and go to bed.

It was finally time for Daniel to go on his trip.


Daniel got up early and prepared for his departure.


Vanessa help him pack his bag the day before so he won't be late because his trip was set to take off early.


Vanessa saw him off to the do and he left.


'Please be safe" Vanessa to Daniel as she bade him bye.


She made sure Daniel had already left before she began to prepare for the day.


Daniel was surprised to see Mathilda already at the port.


'Why is she here so early" Daniel asked no one in particular wondering why Mathilda got there so early.


'You got here so early" Daniel said to Mathilda.


'Yh I love to get to my venue earlier than time given" Mathilda said to Daniel.


'Wow that good" Daniel said surprise that people like Mathilda existed.


The pilot was ready and informed them that the plane was ready to go.


Daniel and Mathilda entered the plane and was set for departure.

The contract was a success.


Mathilda suggested they celebrate the success of the meeting and have a drink at Daniel hotel room.


Daniel drank and drank until they became drunk.


Mathilda wanted to have sex with Daniel by all means because she wanted a clip of both of them having sex together.


Mathilda was happy to see Daniel so drunk.


'This is my opportunity" Mathilda said as she set the came in a place that could capture her face and that of Daniel.


Mathilda took advantage of Daniel drunkenness s and had sex with him.

Daniel woke up with a hangover, he couldn't recollect any thing that happened last night.


He turned and say Mathilda lying naked next to him and was shocked, he realized that he had sex with Mathilda.


'Oh no" Daniel shouted as he felt disappointed in himself.


He got up and went to freshen up, he didn't talk to Mathilda as he felt it was just a one night stand.


Mathilda wanted to use the video to blackmail Daniel but he wasn't giving in to her.


Daniel didn't believe Mathilda when she said she has their sex tape, he felt it was just a one night stand that he had with her.


Mathilda wasn't happy with the fact Daniel didn't given in to and leaked the sex video in the internet.


It was bright and beautiful, the breeze was so cool and refreshing, the air was so fresh like someone had sprayed an air freshener round the bedroom.


Vanessa woke up so happy and unbothered. The air that came in through the window was so refreshing and it made Vanessa what more of it. It made her stand up from her bed and walked towards the window, spread the cotton and opened the cotton wild.


'What a beautiful morning!!" Vanessa shouted as she spread the cotton and received the cool, fresh air.


Vanessa waited there for a while before coming back to her bed. She was about to go take her bath and brush her teeth in the bathroom before she had a flashback. She thought of what life has been like for her lately. Due to the amazing weather of the day she felt it was a very time for she and her bestie Allyson to go out. She picked up her phone and was going through some pictures. She laughed so hard when she saw anyone that reminded her of something funny. She did that for a few minutes before her phone rang.



'Haha speaking of the devil. Why is Allyson calling me now? I hope this time around she doesn't disturb me with something annoying." Vanessa said to herself as she teased Allyson even when she wasn't there with her.


After so much thought, she decided to pick the call.


📞 'Hello sleeping beauty, how are you doing this morning?" Allyson greeted Vanessa.


📞 ' Hi disturbance, I am very well thank you and you?" Vanessa replied to Allyson I'm a very funny tone that made Allyson laugh.


📞 'Hahaha, what wrong with you this morning? What with the voice." Allyson replied as she laughed so hard.


📞 'And what so funny about that?" Theodora asked Allyson in her normal tone.


📞 'Yh I think I prefer this voice because the one I just heard is really very funny."


📞 'Can you just go straight to the point and tell me the reason why you call me this early in the morning?"


📞 'I know why you are angry right now. It's because I called you sleeping beauty."


📞 'And who says I am angry besides the weather is to cool for me to be angry this early in the morning."


📞 'Exactly, I was actually thinking about you that's why I called to check up on you."


📞 'Are you serious? I was also here thinking about you, but the only thing I won't do is to wake you early in the morning to tell you I miss you knowing fully well it's not an emergency case."


📞 'Okay yh I admit I was wrong, I am sorry, it's just that I had a feeling you would be up already so I decided to place a call ahead."


📞 'Its fine, i wasn't even that angry with you but yh thanks for the apology though" Vanessa said as she they both laughed together.


📞 'That's a nice one well I take my sorry back."


📞 'It's not possible you alre said it and it's not going back."


📞 'Whatever, I actually call you because of the pictures I took yesterday, Nessa you needed to have been there. The view was 100 % and their food was so delicious. I took a lot of pictures over there." Allyson said to Vanessa, excitedly.


📞 'Really, I am definitely going there next."


📞 'Yes you really need to visit this place."


📞 'Yh I must. Have you sent me some of the pictures you took over there?"


📞 'Definitely yes, you know that's the first thing I would do. I sent them yesterday night but you were not online.


📞 'Yh I went offline." Vanessa said as she stood up to go check on the heater she turned down earlier.


📞 'Okay Nessa, I will have to go now, I have to attend to something urgently please do have a great day and don't hesitate to call me if you have a problem."


📞 'Okay Allyson, I would call you later in the day okay. Bye.


📞 'Bye sleeping beauty" Allyson said to Vanessa as she ended the call.


'Oh my God Allyson is something else but I like her like that." Theodora said to herself after Allyson called her a sleeping beauty and ended the call before she could reply back.


Vanessa immediately went online to see the pictures Allyson said she had sent to her since yesterday.


'Wow this is lovely. Oh my God Allyson must take me here this is the kind of restaurants I love." She said to herself in a loud tone as she scrolled through.


'I really need to upload this. I think I should just put in the caption ‘a place I would love to visit' hhh" Vanessa jumped up and screamed.


She was about to upload it when she saw a picture of a man and a lady trending. She didn't know why but she felt maybe he cheated on his wife. That's why people were carrying it too much.


'I think I should just post this thing really fast and leave here. That's why I hate going online unnecessarily and think it keeps coming up. There is so much wickedness though but why will a man just choose to be a cheat on his wife." Vanessa said to herself.


She was done uploading the pictures and was about to go offline when she saw the video pop out against was tagged 'men are scum they will stain your white" she was not the type of person who would go online and check for people scandals but this was going to be an exception because it kept on popping out.


'How did they even know who the both of them are when their faces are both covered." She said to herself as she clicked on the video and watched it.


'Oh…my… God…" Vanessa stammered as her phone gradually slipped off her hand.


'Why does Daniel always have to do this to me? Why? Why?" Vanessa said to herself in a very sad tone.


'Don't I deserve something better?" She continued as tears welled down her eyes.


She felt so pained and hurted that Daniel could do such a thing to her.


'Maybe I am dreaming or I didn't check well. Let me check again." Vanessa said to herself as she fell to the ground and tried reaching out to her phone.


She took her phone and checked the video again.


'Ahh I feel so pained, why would Daniel so such a thing to me." Vanessa said to herself as she cried out loud.


Her heart was aching and she felt like it was going to explode. She laid down on the floor and held her chest.


'I don't deserve all this pain, it's too much for me." Vanessa said to herself as she fell on the floor and cried out loud.


She felt a sharp pain in her chest, like something pierced her heart and she cried out loud." Ahhhhhh" She did that so she could ease herself of the pain she was feeling inside of her. She remembered the time when she had to beg Daniel to please stay away from such scandals. She pleaded with him because she knew it was going to also affect her, she tried holding her tears but the more she cried the worse it became. She wanted to call her bear friend Allyson to tell her about it but she felt Allyson is a social media guru.


She kept on remembering a lot of things, her head was full and she was fed up with it already. She screamed out loud again.


'Ahhhhh, Daniel has practically ruined my life." She said to herself as she held her chest because it was hurting her.


Vanessa thought of how life would have been for her if Daniel had not showed up. She thought of all the things she has been through just in the few months of her marriage.


It has always been from one smaller problem to a much bigger and worser one ever since they got married. But this one was the highest of it all and to think that Daniel didn't even care about how she was feeling he only cared about himself.


'He would never care about me; the only thing he cared about is himself." Vanessa said to herself


This was actually not the first time it happened but this is much worse than the other ones. She remembered when he had scandals with another girl.


'From Ava, a random girl he met at their wedding and slept with even when he knew it was their first night of being couples. Janet, a girl he met during their honeymoon and now this, I do even know who the girl is." Vanessa said to herself.


She felt so shattered and weak because she had pleaded with Daniel concerning such issues, and he would always promise her that it won't repeat itself. She remembered telling Daniel that whatever he is doing he should please do it in secret and not openly because it would affect their marriage and people would start hating on her, they might call he stupid for not being able to protect her marriage not knowing it was a contract marriage.


'I wished I had not accepted the contract wedding in the first place, I wished I had my mother by my side to give me advice on what to do. Maybe if she was alive she would have told me not to settle for the contract marriage and probably given me an alternative. Maybe if she was here with me Daniel wouldn't be treating me the way he is right now. He might have treated me better and avoided scandals like this." She said to herself with so much pain in her heart.


She wishes it had not gotten to the extent where she would have to go for a contract marriage.


'My life was a lot better when Daniel was not my husband." She cried out bitterly.


She remembered begging him not to go on the business trip now as if she knew all this would happen over there.


'How long am I going to endure all this, what if it lasts forever. What if after the contract is over no one agrees to marry me? How will I live? All I wanted was a happy home all my life. I didn't bargain for this at all, why is Daniel treating me like this? I something deserve better." Vanessa said to her as she cried out loud in pain.


'Where do I start from and how do I face the world? What will I say is the reason for my husband to cheat on me with a random girl when our marriage is still to young." She thought out loud.


She felt like climbing a mountain or a rooftop and scream out loud so it could ease her pain a little. But she was too sad and weak to even go outside.
