###Chapter 62
Chapter 62
Anthonia POV
I had the baby in my arms carefully as she slept.
Krish had just fed her and my in-laws were busy with Krishi.
I was seated on a double seater couch in the ward with Aditi next to me.
He was unto his phone and totally absent from his surrounding.
The baby looked so much like Krishi.
I felt so happy for her.
She's just a year in marriage and already had a child.
The thought of me giving birth one day, someday filled my head and it made me shudder.
I glanced at Aditi and faced the baby again.
Maybe…. one day…I'd carry my baby like this but definitely not for Aditi.
We can never get that level….. no way.
We finally left the hospital after my Mother had returned from the temple.
Krish's pregnancy and delivery had in a way made Father and my Mother get close and it made me glad and the thought of having to strengthen that union soon made my skin crawl.
The ride back home was quiet.
I avoided looking at Aditi's direction and I was glad he gave me the needed space.

Anthonia POV
Happy Diwali!
The streets of Delhi had an unusual glow.
Every home had lights all over and the streets weren't left out.
Diwali is the celebration of good over evil.
Before dusk,Janvi,Diya, the twins and I lited up so many oil lamps.
By nightfall, the streets were full of people playing with lights.
I only stood outside at the balcony watching the sky being lited up.
I wouldn't dare go near the crackers.
Everyone was having fun…..
Jaya, Lara, and Janvi had invited their friends over.
Kaeya couldn't come…so I was technically alone.
My watchful gaze landed on laughing Diya and smiling Aditi as they played with fire crackers.
I have never seen Aditi that jovial since we got married and it felt weird and foreign.
As they played on, Aditi's gaze fell on me,where I stood at the balcony.
He stared for a moment till I looked away.
It was off and weird…again.
I watched as Granny and Janvi played then exhaled.
I wished I didn't grow with fear for anything with fire.
It's a miracle I knew how to make some certain meals now.
Maybe I had watched too much and didn't notice when he came to me at the balcony.
"Someone seems left out." I heard that voice and turned to see Aditi.
He was standing so close to me.
I rolled my eyes.
"Definitely not me." I shrugged and faced anywhere but him.
"It seems so to me. You should try out some crackers. It'd be fun." Aditi said and I arched a brow facing him.
"What the hell is wrong with you and being so creepy these days? Stay away from me!" I snapped turning to leave when I felt his hold around my wrist and I gasped as an unfamiliar feeling shot through my body.
It made me feel weak.
I felt him step in behind me…so close….too close.
I couldn't move….all my senses seem paralyzed and even the shooting crackers zeroed out.
I gulped.
"Give it a try." He whispered in my ear.
Diya POV
I lost interest in the crackers as I watched how Aditi and that witch were so close to each other.
She appeared frozen and he seem to be saying somethings right into her ear.
They finally moved, out of the balcony to the field where no one seem to be on.
I could barely believe my eyes when Adi had held Anthoniaso close to him trying to teach her how to light a cracker.
Aargh!
Anthonia POV
I wanted to tell at him not to touch me,to get away from me but I couldn't.
He stood right behind me as our bodies met and I fitted so well in his body frame and he held both of my hands which was holding unto the crackers
"You shouldn't let it be this close…. you could….."
I practically zoned out and only the sound of the shooting cracker brought me back to reality as I screamed falling into Aditi more and down…we went…. landing on the soft grass.
I had my back against him as he groaned and I quickly rolled off him sitting on the grass.
"Are you okay?" I blurted worriedly as he just laid on the grass and stared at me.
"Yeah…" He whispered and I sighed.
"I hate fire crackers….so much…" I muttered and he sat up before lifting my chin making me look at him again.
"Why?" Aditi asked.
"I wish I know…" I replied.
There was silence….for a moment and I felt his thumb brushing my cheek sending tingles all over me.
What's happening?...
I backed away slightly as I got freed from his touch.
I fixed my gaze on the remains of the fire and from the corner of my eye,I saw Aditi take out another one from the duffel bag laying on the grass and he began to play with it.
Deep down,I prayed he didn't try to light it up else….I'd probably pass out from shock.
"Adi!"
I looked up and glanced behind to see Diya approaching us and I scoffed looking away.
"Hey…" I heard him reply.
"You left me…" she whined and I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry treasure…" Aditi apologized.
"But am busy now…. maybe later…" he added and I turned to face him, shocked.
Diya only walked away.
"Why didn't you just follow her? Am fine alone." I said.
"Drop the attitude Anthonia." Aditi groaned and I was stunned.
"Can we just….not fight tonight..?" He muttered eyes searching mine.
I tore my gaze away and hugged my legs to my chest shutting my eyes.
No!
How can he make such a request?
"Let's try out another cracker…." He offered and I exhaled.
He was messing with my head and was slowly succeeding but I wouldn't let him.
No way!
"Take…." Aditi said and I opened my eyes to see the largest of crackers and my heart missed a beat.
"Get that away from me…." I deadpanned getting up on my feet as I ran into the house.

Anthonia POV
Krish's baby naming was taking place and some other needed ritual.
She was finally named Soni Pradeep.
I was really happy for Krishi and the smile on Mother's face was priceless.
My phone began to ring and I checked to see it was Kaeya calling.
She had left the ceremony after the naming.
I left the house to go out to a much quiet place.
"Hey! Are you home yet?" I asked.
"Yeah. How's the function going? Am so sad am missing out." Kaeya whined and I chuckled.
"Are you certain this sadness of yours has nothing to do with Deven…" I asked grinning and she laughed.
"Shut up Rosh…I'll get back to you later. Bye…" she baded and the call ended.
I turned to leave only to bump into someone and my phone fell
"Gosh!" I exclaimed picking it up and I stood erect to see Nathasha.
She had a smudge grin on and I scoffed.
"What's with you?" I snapped.
She chuckled and grew silent for a while.
Am just thinking…" Nathasha began staring at me.
"You got married three months after your sister and she has given birth but er…I can't even see any sign of pregnancy. How's that even going to be possible when he doesn't like you and you don't." Nathasha sneered as I glared at her.
"Yunno…it's a shame to having been married for months…and still not be pregnant and a greater shame if you are…still untouched…" Nathasha said slowly and it snak into Anthoniaas easy as passing a hot knife through butter.
Nathasha had taken her unawares and all she could do was glare at Nathasha like she was the devil herself.
She felt insulted…greatly.
"And who said I am untouched?" Anthoniaasked in a cold voice that stunned Nathasha for a moment but the latter wouldn't stop.
"Oh wow! So he's used you. I knew it…" Nathasha jeered and gave a wild laugh.
"He would use you just like every other woman he has ever used and dump you. It's quite unfortunate that you are tied to him but I believe he wouldn't be that stup*d to settle for you stepsister." She grinned and stepped in almost making their chests meet.
"You..are…a…lo..ser…" she muttered and turned walking away when she saw Aditi standing…few feets away from them and she froze.
Anthoniaon the other hand felt an undiluted anger towards the girl before her.
All she could see was red and her eyes were brimful of tears which came up as a result of jumbled up emotions.
Aditi picked his steps towards Nathasha and the cold aura he possessed at that moment filled the air.
His lips were in a firm line and his jaw clenched.
He had heard…. everything….
"The next time I hear you speak to my wife that way,I would forget the fact that we are in-laws and you wouldn't want to see me in fury Nathasha." Aditi said with every word dripping off a deadly venom as he glared at her.
Nathasha felt weak and tongue tied as Aditi brushed past her and walked to Anthonia.
"Hey…" he cooed and pulled her into a hug which she melted into as the tears spilled and no more followed.
Nathasha scurried away leaving them as Aditi caressed Anthonia's hair while she held unto him.
"It's okay…am sorry she said those words to you…" Aditi said and she froze before pulling away .
Was he seriously apologizing for what Nathasha had said…
She gulped down the heavy lump in her throat and wiped the tears off her cheeks.
"Am fine.. you don't need to worry." Anthoniamuttered as Aditi only stared at her.

Anthonialooked out through the window as the jeep drove past ths bright streets.
They had left fhe ceremony before the others after her Mother had noticed how weary she appeared.
They finally got home and no one spoke as Anthoniawent about get business.
As she showered,Nathasha's words filled her head.
For a moment,she was right.
Who was she kidding?
Recently, she had been feeling so attracted to Aditi and he had also been making weird advances towards her all just to probably get into her skirt and at the end…divorce her.
That was one thing she wouldn't let happen.
She would divorce him first before he would achieve his dirty aim.

As she brushed her hair, Aditi was at the balcony smoking.
The rest of the family returned the moment she got out of the bathroom.
Anthoniaknew Aditi had something in mind that made him smoke so late at night.
She didn't care anyways…
She had decided not to care.
She didn't want to.
