###Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Anthonia POV
Business talks could be boring but definitely not the party.
Drinks like liquor, juice and wine circulated and I buised myself with some juice while Aditi talked on with the man whom we shared the table with.
According to my observation, I was the youngest female present and couples around visited our table every now and then.
Still talking, Aditi relaxed back on the seat and fixed his arm across my shoulder practically pulling me close to him.
7gh!
Despite how hard I wanted to get away from him,he made it so hard.
My legs were feeling numb already and I felt the need to move about.
"Aditi…" I called looking at him and he faced me.
"Excuse me please. I'll be back." I notified and he stared at me for a while as if contemplating before nodding.
Taking up my purse,I got up on my feet and walked right out of the event hall heading for the mini building I had noticed to probably be the restroom.
As soon as I got in,I quickly relieved myself of the waste I had been holding in.
I definitely had too much to drink.
I took my time to scan my look and began to take mirror pictures to pass time .
I must had taken so much time because the door opened and I turned to see Aditi.
"Jeez! What are you doing here!?" I shrieked surprised and he scoffed while walking in.
"You came to take pictures in a restroom? You're crazy." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Well…I grew bored okay? Business is not my thing." I shrugged and he didn't respond.
I fixed my phone back in my purse.
"It's too late Aditi. The family might be worried." I stated.
He only turned and made an exit.
Aditi didn't really head back to the hall as we moved to the car park.
It was a great thing to me because I was already getting exhausted.
Aditi seemed the opposite as he walked freely operating on his phone while I had to keep up with him.
In mh frustration, I noticed a shadowed figure slip among the numerous cars and it caught my attention.
Definitely,I should have freaked out but the guards were there .
Aditi's phone rang out and he stopped to take the call while I hung around.
I glared at him as he kept talking.
How could he be so inconsiderate?
Am on heels for crying out loud!
I rolled my eyes glancing around when I caught sight of something in the dark part of the premises.
The same shadowed figure, but this time,it had a gun…pointed towards our direction..at ADITI!
"Aditi move!" I shrieked, rushing to push him away from the aim when the sound of a fired bullet filled the air and the guards with us became alert as some ran to the direction of the attack.
The fired bullet had grazed my left arm which bled terribly while I held onto Aditi.
"You're hurt…" he exclaimed as I moved away glancing at my arm which ached.
"No…I'm fine." I sighed and he scoffed.
"I almost got shot by Anthoniaand you saved me only to get hurt and you say you are fine!?" He snapped and I couldn't find my voice.
"Let's get out of here." He ordered as we hurried for his ride which was closer and w got in.
No sooner,we were out of the premises and the other guards soon joined us.
We stopped by a clinic and my injury was treated and a dose of injection was administered to me.

When we arrived the mansion,I wasn't so surprised to see everyone waiting for us.
"O my goodness! What happened to you!?" Mother exclaimed touching it as I winced then glanced at Aditi who appeared really upset since the incident.
"We got attacked." He hissed and I shook my head rapidly.
"No! That's not the real thing." I chipped in as they faed me.
"I spotted someone in the dark aiming a gun at Aditi so I had to push him away then got grazed in the process. Aditi was the one who got attacked." I explained.
Mother hugged me patting my hair gently.
"Thank goodness. Nothing serious happened." Granny sighed.
."Who was the person?" Janvi asked and Aditi shook his head.
"The fool got away. He was so quick to escape." He groaned and glanced at my direction before heading for the stairs.
Diya glanced at ne before going after him.
"Come on now dear. You need to rest." Aunt Shyla said as Mother broke the hug then kissed my forehead before Janvi led me up the stairs.
Diya POV
"Adi…" I called as he was about opening the door and he turned to look at me.
I quickly hugged him tight.
"Oh goodness! I don't know what I would have done if you were harmed." I sighed pulling away.
"Am okay Diya. But the b@stard hurt my wife!." He said with so much anger that made me so jealous.
I know it's the work of that witch to win him over but she would never succeed.
"Well see tomorrow Diya." He sighed kissing my cheek before heading in.
I stared at the door for a while before turning to leave when I saw Anthonia.
Folding my arms,I stared at her deeply with detest and am certain she got the message as she rolled her eyes.
"Keep trying Diyq. He would never be yours. Trust me." She smriked as my arms dropped in anger and surprise.
How dare she!?
Anthoniawinked at me then brushed past me and opened the room door, walked in and shut the door.
Aargh!
Anthonia POV
It has been a week since the incident and in response to Father-in-law's demand, the security around Aditi doubled.
According to Janvi, that attack wasn't the first.
The injury in my arm had healed up already but there was a growing scar there to my utmost disappointment.
Surprisingly enough, I had woken up to see Aditi was still around and he would be staying for breakfast.
I joined Mother in setting the table as the family soon got seated.
"Diwali is coming up." Janvi stated and it caught everyone's attention.
"Yes. I really can't wait for it." Jaya chipped in.
"Diwali is one of my most favorite celebrations before Holi." Granny said smiling.
Diwali….
I barely stayed around for it though.
Last year's Diwali wasn't that fun filled to me thanks to my fear of firecrackers.
I finally sat down to have my breakfast as they kept on talking about the festival.
Aditi suddenly cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention.
"So…I've decided…" He began and paused to wipe how lips.
"Anthoniawould resume work at the family's company by Monday." He announced and I gasped.
"Why son?" Mother asked.
"Thing is ..our company is a share holder in her Father's company and we need a representative and she is the best choice." Aditi explained.
"Nice thinking. It would be so nice to have our dear Anthoniaby your side at the office." Granny grinned and I shook my head amused.
"Are you ready?" Janvi grinned, wriggling her brows at me, making me laugh.
"You are crazy Janvi. Well…I am ready. Besides,I am done with high school." U shrugged.

Diya POV
I watched Aditi as he signed on some files and handed it over to his secretary who quickly took her leave.
He exhaled, leaning back on his seat as his face palmed himself, sighing deeply.
"Did you really have to make her work?" I began standing akimbo as he dropped jks hands staring up absently.
"Do you have a problem with that?" He finally replied with a question and I walked over to his side of the table and leaned on the desk before him.
"I don't really have any problem with it but she definitely don't know anything about the company." I scoffed and he sat up to look at me then laughed softly before standing up.
"Oh treasure…" he sighed standing before me.
"You appear jealous." Aditi teased and I rolled my eyeballs.
"After all,she is my wife…so you don't have to be worried." He added with pride dripping in his statement as I stared at him in cloaked shock.
Ugh!

Anthonia POV
"So you are the CEO'S wife and you definitely have to appear hot. I highly do not recommend sarees yunno…." Janvi stated and I chuckled.
"But that's what I can wear. Besides, this is India. I wish I was in another country, then I would totally rock my English outfits." I shrugged and she rolled her eyeballs.
I seriously can't believe I would be seeing my 'Father' almost everyday.
Thanks to him..am tied to a man…an annoying one at that.
Since his announcement at the table,I could only imagine.
I don't get why I didn't kick against it.
Aditi can't just be a boss over me.
"Hey! Back to earth!" I heard Janvi call as she snapped her fingers at my face and I gave her a faint smile.
"I guess it's time to make dinner." I stated getting off the stool at the dressing table.
"Okay!"

Aditi stepped into the room and I glanced at him before fixing my hair.
I clearly heard him scoff and mutter something.
Hm….
"Maybe…if you keep doing this…you would be late to work." I heard him say and I arched my brow.
"Hold on…me?" I asked, surprised , turning to face him.
"I'm leaving." He said walking out of the room.
One thing I will never get used to……
Aditi snubbing me…totally like what!?
I felt like smacking his face so hard but…. maybe I had to calm down.

As I alighted the stairs,I met the family already having breakfast.
Aditi wasn't there meaning he had left.
"Anthonia…" Mother sighed rushing to hug me.
"I love this color on you." She cooed and did a 'no one cast an evil eye on you' ritual as I smiled at her.
I had settled for a lemon saree and well….I looked good in it.
"Can't believe someone would be working at the family company…" Janvi grinned winking at me as I sat at the table.
Diya only watched before rolling her eyes as I scoffed….
Jealous…
