###Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Nathasha Viewpoint

"We will inform the Singhs about the latest and have the wedding cards printed" Father announced as I smrinked.

" Woman... go get me your daughter's horoscope" Father demanded..

" Yes my husband" Stepmom bowed and walked out of the sitting room.

Finally!...
Soon, the main problem here would be gone.
My phone beeped and I checked it out.

A low gasp escaped my lips as I reread the text message.
My best friend just texted me that she had spotted my secret crush just now at the club.

Jeez!.
This guy let me say... boy is just damn too cute, handsome and sexy.

I had bumped into him at the club last month and I kept going there hoping to see him but he never showed up and now, she has just spotted him.

"Father, I will be back" I said hurrying out.

"Be safe my dear" Mum advised.

Next Day...

I laid still on my bed sulking as I didn't sleep a wink last night.

I still can't believe this. Father seriously wants to get me married off.
Oh God!

I never knew Father would turn out to be so heartless all because of a woman and a stup*d company I would never run.

Yes!
Father's main reason for getting me married off so bad is due to the business partnering between our family and the Singhs yet, I would not even be able to take part in anything concerning the company.

I heard a knock on my room door but I remained mute.

"Anthonia! Open the door " I heard Father call making me super angry.

" Go away! " I screamed pained but suddenly heard another key opening the door and I quickly rushed out of the bed as Father and Mother walked in.

I glared hard at him as he stood before me and I exhaled.

"My child..." I raised my hand shunning him then joined my palms together.

"Please Father, please.. I do not need to hear anymore word from you. I have had enough already. You said I should get married right? Even at a tender age? Okay.. let me agree that I have age mates that are already married but Father, I am still in school and you didn't even stop to think and care about it. "

" All you care about is pleasing your second wife! Do you know exactly what this act and decision of yours has done!?. You are getting me married off to a family I know nothing about except for the fact that they are India's most richest family.. You are getting me married off for business!"

" Father, you have done the worst thing I can ever imagine you would ever do especially to me. Please leave... " I said bittered.

" Anthonia.. am only.."

"Leave Father!" I screamed pointing at the door.

" Anthonia.. " Mum cooed as I glanced at her.
Father slowly turned heading out.

"... And bear this in mind Father, I am not agreeing to this marriage because I am weak. I am fully ready to fight for my right but now my Mum might be involved, I have to concour" I said and there was a pause in his movement before he finally left.

I stared at my Mum as she slowly nodded opening her arms and I scuttled into her opening embrace hugging her tightly as hot fresh tears flowed out of my eyes.

"Am so sorry my child. I am so helpless and can not do a single thing about it. We just need to accept our fate... "Mum sighed caressing my hair as I just stayed in her bossom.

" Your Father, he announced that your wedding preparations would start in two days.. Am so sorry Anthonia" Mum announced as I felt my entire world shatter and my sobs began.

I sat on my bed with crossed legs as Kaeya kept on blabbering about all the events that took place in school today.

She had come over to know why I didn't show up in school today and I am yet to tell her about it.

"It was so funny and crazy.." Kae said laughing really hard but I was so lost in my deep thoughts to respond.

Father once said he loves me alot and would not do anything that would hurt me so why is he acting this way?

It is as if he is fed up with me for some reason I do not know about.

"Anthonia.." I heard Kae call as she shook me greatly.

"Huh?" I stuttered jumping out of my thoughts.

"What is going on Anthonia? I have been talking to myself and you seem not to listen to me for a bit neither do you look happy. What is going on? " Kae asked in a worried time and I sighed tucking loose hair behind my ear.

"Kae...". The room door suddenly interrupting me and Nathasha walked in.

"Oh! Never knew you had a guest. Hmm.... I came to give you a sample of your wedding card, step-sister" Nathasha sneered with a smrink and tossed a red fancy envelope on the bed as I glared at her.

"Anthonia?" Kae called surprised as she picked up the envelope opening it and I heard her gasp.

"You are getting married next week?!" Kae shrieked alarmed.

"Whoa! Whoa! Hold on.. she didn't tell you?.. oh Anthonia.. that is so rude.. "Nathasha taunted.

" Well.. my wonderful step-sister is getting married next week. It is so sad that she didn't even care to inform you" Nathasha notified and clicked her tongue.

" Anyways, am off" She said.
" Bye.." She baded and left the room as I sighed.

"Anthonia.. is it true?" Kae asked and I nodded bitting my lower lip.

"For goodness sake Anthonia.. you are eighteen!.. you seriously can't get married! "Kae protested and I heaved tiredly.

" I have accepted my fate with open arms Kaeya. Am certain my stepmom has a hand in this but what can I do? I have to accept for the sake of my Mother"I said.

Kae drew closer to me on the bed and cuddled me while I held unto her.

"It is okay Anthonia. The Almighty only knows why this is being allowed to happen. Everyone has got to accept their fate whole heartedly and now, it is your turn to do so. Always remember I will be here for you" Kaeya cooed and I suddenly felt so light and less worried.

She made me sit and cupped my face.
"Now give me a charming smile" She urged and I chuckled instead leading to a long reliving laugh.

I fisted my hands on hearing their happy laughter's.

Well.. soon, Anthoniawould be out of the mansion and I will have this empire all to myself.

I, my Mother and brother would rule this house anyway we like.

I chuckled and moved away from the door.

I adjusted my shawl over my neck and headed out of the room to meet Krishi and Mother.

We are all on our way to the mall for shopping, including Father, stepmom and her children.

While in the jeep, I was seated between Mum and Krishi.

"I heard the groom family would be at the mall today" Krishi notified.

Oh!...
So... I will be seeing my future in-laws and supposedly almighty future groom.
I let out a low scoff.

"Come check out this neckwear Anthonia" Krishi urged as she showed me an emerald neckwear.
Totally pretty....

Krishi took it out of the box and wore it around my neck.

"Wow! Suits you perfectly!" She exclaimed as I stared at my reflection.

Krishi soon took off the neckwear and replaced it back in it's box.

At that moment, the Singh's arrived.

"Namaste.." The family and they greeted one another while I just watched from where I stood.

A young girl approached me. She looked totally young like me and doesn't seem to wear sarees as she was rocking her jumpsuit.

"Hey!" She beamed standing next to me as I only glanced at her.

"Hi..." I muttered.

"Oh dear!... Cheer up. Anyways, am Janvi" She introduced offering me a handshake which I hesitated a little before accepting.

"You are super pretty in person" She cooed and I furrowed my brows.

" You are totally and most definitely the best choice for him. Com'on.. let's shop" She added happily pulling me along with her.

I wish she knows exactly how I feel about all these taking place right now.
We all spent a long time at the mall and it seemed as if Janvi wanted to purchase the entire mall.

"Tell me Anthonia.... this blue saree or the yellow?" Janvi asked as I stared at both of them.

" Are you wearing it?". I asked.
"Yup"..

"Hmm...."
The yellow would suit her so much.

"The yellow would do" I picked and she squealed chuckling.

" Goodness! You are awesome!" She exclaimed.

"Thanks" I muttered with a smile.

I held unto the green saree with me as I stared at that girl and Anthonia.

From what I heard, she is the sister of the groom yet she is so free with Anthonia, likewise the entire family members.. especially the Granny.

It sickens me to keep hearing and listening to the good things they say about Anthonia.

Well.. I would never let her have a peaceful home if that is what she dreams on having.
