###Chapter 34
Chapter 34
Anthonia POV
I clumped down the stairs tiredly and headed for the door.
"Anthoniamy dear, come have breakfast." I heard Mum-in-law invite.
"Am not hungry." With that, I left the mansion heading to my ride.
I didn't bother about answering the greetings from my escorts as I just got into the jeep and my ride to school began.
Seriously!?
I still can't believe Aditi ignored me when I spoke to him like....what!?
I finally arrived school and got out of my ride heading for the entrance when I spotted Kaeya scuttling to me.
"Hey B!" She hailed and hugged me but I was too weak to respond and she pulled away staring at my face.
"How was it Anthonia? Were you able to convince him?" Kaeya queried and I sighed.
"You wouldn't believe what happened Kaeya..."
I told her of everything down to how he'd asked me to turn off the lights when am done.
"What?! He...he did that?" Kaeya exclaimed and I nodded.
"Does it mean..we don't... I mean you don't stand a chance of proving Nathasha wrong?" She asked worry obviously resounding in her voice.
"I still have tonight. It's not the end of the world. Come on Kae,we should get moving for practice." I concluded and we headed in.

"Ready..set...go!..."
I sped off like bolt of lightning... running super fast giving my competitors great spacing as I smirked at my achievement.
The finish line was up ahead.... and....
"WINNER!"
I panted for air as my house master ran to me then helped me to get a seat under one of the canopies before I was offered some water.
So far,the hint is going pretty great.
I just had my last race...a 200m race.
I sighed lowly and got off my seat.
I needed to get to class and probably receive some inner air and get going.... home.
I had barely moved away from the canopy I was in when she appeared before me...
Nathasha the witch.
She had a wide smirk stuck to her disgusting face.
"Hello stepsister." She sneered and I only kept mute rolling my eyeballs.
"Hey..Nathasha.. I remember her saying she'd make Aditi come..." One of the girls with her suddenly said and I glared hard at her.
"Yes...she did... Anthonia...are we still um... expecting your 'husband' to come watch you run?" Nathasha queried with all her words dripping with sarcasm and I fisted my hands glaring hard at her.
"You are silent.." Nathasha gasped.
"Oh no! He's not coming?" She asked with a scoff and before I could blink,Nathasha drew everyone's attention to us and announced that I.... failed to make Aditi come to the event.
A part of me felt hurt.
My supposed husband wouldn't come watch me run.
Lots of murmurs had began all of mockery and disappointment.
"Oh Anthonia...are you fighting with your husband that he won't even listen to you?" Nathasha sneered and I gulped down all the anger I felt before walking away.... towards the class before I would lose it and make her lose her ability to talk.

Location; Singh's Mansion
Dinner was too quiet unlike other nights.
I guess everyone noticed how downcasted I was .
"Aditi.. you really have to attend that event.." Mother-in-law spoke up glancing at me and he only kept mute making me feel more disappointed...but why?
Why should I feel that way?
After dinner, I joined Janvi in clearing the dishes.
"Listen Anthonia...just give him a try...he might give in.... especially now that your school is expecting him." Janvi advised and I sighed.
"I'll try..." I headed for the room in thoughts.
I tried last night but it seriously didn't go so well...he snobbed me.
I'll try again...
I walked in closing the door properly behind me and spotted Aditi at the balcony.
The night felt really cold.
I headed to change into my night dress and by the time I was through...he was still at the balcony.
I picked my steps to the balcony and rested on the entrance frame with my arms crossed.
"Aditi..." I called with a sigh and he glanced at me over his shoulder then looked away.
I exhaled standing upright.
"I...."
I paused...not able to find words to say.
I cleared my throat ready to say anything but got interrupted.
"Forget about whatever it is you are about to say. I am not attending that event." He stated icily and turned heading in almost passing me when I spoke up.
"Tell me why? Is there a crime in having a man I call my husband come watch me run? Do you even understand how shameful it would be if you don't show up?"
I paused and scoffed.
"Of course not. You are Aditi Singh...a man...not a lady. It's okay if you don't attend. I'll manage.. good night." I concluded trying to hold in all my emotions as I walked past him into the room, divided the bed and laid down to sleep.

#Morning.....
Anthonia POV
I packed up my lengthy hair in a ponytail after hiding my vermillion mark.
I was dressed in my school sports outfit, while I had a make up duffel bag containing my blue house running sweat pants and top, running shoes and other valuables..
I skipped breakfast due to lack of appetite and headed out for my ride.

Location; K.H
I had gotten changed into my running outfit and shoe as I also had a sweat band on.
As I exercised my muscles on a part of the field close to my house canopy, I could feel gazes on me..with minds probably wondering why I failed miserably in getting Aditi to come... thanks to Nathasha
"Anthonia!" I heard a squeal and stopped turning to see Kaeya who scurried to hug me.
"Oh Anthonia!..." She sighed and we disengaged.
"We're you able to make him come?" She asked and I exhaled.
"I wasn't. The id*ot was so arrogant to agree." I scoffed angrily.
.
"Aww... that's sad. All thanks to Nathasha...the school would have a hot gist for the season." Kaeya sneered and I only sighed.

The event had already began a long time ago.
The march past just rounded up and the junior race was in play.
We the senior marathon racers were called aside to get prepared.
Students kept giving me silly glances especially Nathasha.
She really is making great fun out of it.
No sooner,it was time for the marathon.
We all took our positions.
I was fixed at the last lap meaning mostly all the hope of my house winning is on me.
"...on your mark...set...." As shot was heard as the race began while I only maintained my position in wait for the baton.
"Hey...step sister..." I heard Nathasha call.
Yeah!
She's the member of the yellow house and would be finishing the race with me.
Ugh!
"Come on... you don't wanna answer me huh? Where's your husband?"
I froze at the question.
I was about to give a harsh reply when I heard chants and realized the baton was about to be passed unto me.
I quickly took it and sped off with Nathasha closely behind.
"No matter how you show off.. you are still a loser when your husband can't watch you...." Nathasha sneered aloud enough for me to hear and I stopped on my tracks earning loud gasps.
