Chapter 68

"Hey…"

Anthoniaheard a call and raised her head to see a cop outside the cell.

"Someone's here to see you." He notified and Anthoniarushed on her feet.

"Aditi!?" She gasped and he scoffed opening the cell and she walked out.

"This way.." he said leading the way.
Anthoniafollowed quietly as a ray of hope shown on her.

"There…" He pointed at a table and she looked eagerly to see….
Her family…

Her heart sunk to her stomach as she sighed.

"Anthonia." Her Mother exclaimed and rushed to where she stood engulfing her in a warm motherly embrace.

Anthoniaexhaled leaning into the hug.
She needed it so much at that time.

"My baby…." Her Mother sighed caressing her hair and they disengaged.

"Am so sorry you are here . I'll get you out as soon as possible dear." She assured.

"You believe me right? I didn't do anything." Anthoniamuttered and her Mother nodded.

"Yes…yes my love. I believe you so much. You are innocent. You can never hurt anybody." She said and hugged Anthoniaagain.

"Anthonia….." They heard Krishi sigh and they disengaged giving Krishi the room to hug Anthonia.

"Ohhh…my dear.." Krishi sighed.

"You'll be out of here soon okay?" Krishi assured as they disengaged.

They walked over to the table where Mr Rathord was seated, watching everything.

"Father…" Anthoniamuttered and he smiled at her.

"Come sit next to me my love." He urged and she could barely believe her ears.

She smiled widely and sat next to him as he pulled her to himself.

"You have no idea how hurt I am seeing you here." He sighed as his chin rested on her head.

"I will get you out of here my dear. Give daddy some time." He pleaded and Anthoniasat up as she locked gazes with him.

"Thank you so much Father. Am so sorry for causing you and Mother this much trouble." Anthoniamumbled as a tear escaped her eye.

He hugged her again as Krishi and their Mother watched emotionally.

Diya glanced up from her plate.
Everyone barely touched their meal.
Aditi hasn't returned since he left the hospital.

"Do you all really think Anthoniapushed Granny off the stairs?" Janvi suddenly spoke up and all eyes darted to her direction.

There was no response and it made Diya uncomfortable.

Could it be they still believed that Anthoniawas innocent?

It didn't spell good for her so much.

"We can't determine that. Besides…the test results would be out soon." Mother sighed.

Diya furrowed her brows.

"What result?" She blurted.

"Well….a test was conducted on Granny's skin." Jaya stated.

"They would find out if Anthonia's finger print was on any part of her body that must have caused the fall." She added and Diya eyes dilated for some seconds showing shock before she cloaked it.

She grew silent and lost the little appetite she had.

If the results came out,she would be discovered.

"But I honestly doubt if Anthoniadid that to Granny." Janvi shrugged.

"How can you say that Janvi…" Diya blurted almost showing her annoyance at how Janvi kept pressing on the fact that Anthoniamight be innocent.

"That girl pushed the one woman we love without thinking twice..,"

"It might have been a honest mistake." Janvi chipped in.

"Honest mistake my foot. I am disappointed in you Janvi." Diya spat shaking her head.

"What's up with you and accusing Anthonia!? She has been so good to Granny and Granny never for once treated her ill. So tell me…why would she try hurt her!?" Janvi snapped.

"Face the reality Janvi…"

"We are talking about Anthoniahere! Aditi's wife! My sister in law!. Why aren't you considerate!? My brother is going through a tough time because of this and all you do is blame Anthonia!..." Janvi retorted glaring hard at Diya.

"That's enough Janvi. She has a point." Aunt Shyla snapped and Janvi scoffed shaking her head.

"I am disappointed in you all. This one moment…no one believes her. Enjoy yourselves but…I am out of here…" Janvi said and got off her seat before storming out of the dinning area.

Diya clenched her fists and exhaled slowly.
She tried to calm herself down.

The four inmates watched as the cop walked away.

She had to face the reality.
She was a prisoner and this is what they eat.

Anthoniagot off the cold floor and walked to where the plates were.
As she reached to take one,she felt someone take hold of her hand.

She stood up right to see who held her.
"What do you think you want to do?" The lady said and Anthoniahad to hold in her breath.

Her mouth stinked.

"I want to take my meal." Anthoniastated.
She wanted to act all tough like she was but somehow,it didn't come up.

"Your meal huh?"
"You have no meal." The lady smirked and Anthoniarose a brow.

"Let me go." She snapped yanking her hand free.

"What the hell are you talking about.?" Anthoniaasked and the inmate turned to go back to her corner.

"I need an answer okay!?" Anthoniasnapped and a sudden slap landed across her cheek as the force made her fall to the floor as she gasped holding her cheek and a groan escaped her lips.

Location: Hospital..

Diya walked into the Doctors office as she looked up to see who had walked in.

"Good afternoon Ma'am." The Doctor stood up to greet and Diya gave her a quick smile then sat down.

"How may I help you?" The Doctor asked.

"Well…it's pretty simple. You have something really vital to me and I will be needing your help to fix some certain things." Diya said and the Doctor furrowed her brows.

"I don't understand Madam."

"Okay. Let me make this really clear and simple for us. There is a test result that you would be releasing to the Singh's household. Remember?" Diya asked and the Doctor nodded.

"Of course, I do. The results are actually ready." The Doctor said.

"I thought as much." Diya smiled and sat up.

"I need you to change the result." Diya finally said out her mission and the Doctor pulled on a surprised look.

"No madam. I can't do that. Am sorry, I can't help you." The Doctor turned down immediately.

Diya scoffed and chuckled.

"Wow…wow…wow."

"Here I am making things so easy . Okay…how much do you want.?.. Fifty thousand?...a hundred..? Name your price." Diya offered.

"Am sorry madam.. please leave my office." The Doctor said.

Diya smriked.
"Nice…."
She slowly got off the seat.

"I was being so easy on you that I had to offer you money but I'll keep it. Your husband would definitely find out that those children aren't for him. And you know the cost." Diya blackmailed and the Doctor quickly got off her seat.

"How do you know that?" She asked alarmed.

Diya chuckled.
"No need to know. Am about leaving."

. "No!"
"Please, stay. I'll do it. Anything." The Doctor gave in desperately and Diya smiled.

"Now that's what am tall about.".
