###Chapter 63

Chapter 63

Anthoniahad her eyes glued to a document when Maya approached her corner.

"Hey Anthonia!" She hailed and she instantly closed the document keeping it in her drawer and then faced Maya.

"Hey..."She sighed as Maya sat on the seat opposite her desk.

"Are you okay?"She asked

"Yeah..."Anthoniaforced out a smile.

"O...Kay."
"Anyways... When would you be taking your entrance examination into college or university? Heard the forms of some schools are out."Maya notified.

"Oh! Thanks so much Maya. I'll check them out." Anthoniareplied.

"It's time for lunch. Ready?." Maya asked.

"Yeah..." Anthoniabreathed as they both stood up and left the corner.

Diya dropped the handbag on a seat and walked to the other side of the desk before snatching the cigarette away from Aditi then threw it on the floor before stepping on it.

"You have been smoking and drinking so much these days, Adi. What's wrong with you!?" Diya snapped and he groaned, palming his face.

"Am fine Diya."
His voice came out rough and she scoffed.

"Am not f**lish Adi. You no longer share your worries with me.... I feel unwanted!" Diya retorted and turned to leave when he got hold of her wrist and stood up trapping her between himself and the desk.

He smelt of a nice perfume mixed with smoke and Diya loved it.

He stared deeply into her eyes.

"I wish ... I wish I could tell... even I don't understand what's wrong with me. Am a fvcking mess!" He said and Diya cupped his face searching his eyes.

"You should not say that Adi. I am always here for you.." Diya whispered and pulled his face to her locking lips with him as his hands immediately held her waist in a very possessive manner.

Their lips danced and they sucked on each other's lips biting and hissing.

Aditi broke the steamy moment as they breathed heavily.
He had only a little but strong restraint that made him not to tear her dress just to have her at that moment.

He just couldn't bring himself to do it and slowly, he sat back on his seat.

Diya bit her lower lip, eyes fixed on Aditi who sat with eyes closed.

Time Skip.

Kaeya, Janvi and Anthoniahad written their entrance examination into the university there in Delhi and were awaiting the results.

It had been only two weeks since Nathasha had said those things to Anthoniaand they came back to her every moment she had to think.

It was raining hard and Anthoniawas seated on the bed surfing the internet while Aditi was on the couch with his laptop typing away.

Every split minute.... he would groan and erase what he had typed.... probably due to a mistake in that line.
Anthoniawould only glance at him then roll her eyes.

Aditi was definitely not comfortable with himself and he felt like he was going to lose it soon.

After a while, he placed the laptop on the table and headed for the bathroom.

Anthoniasoon heard the shower start running.
That would be the second time he was taking a shower that evening since dinner despite how chilly the weather was.

When he finally came out, Anthonianoticed he appeared perturbed and quickly got himself a cigarette fixing himself before the closed window.

Weird....

Aditi could practically feel his body and senses tearing apart.

He felt so uncomfortable and there was his wife seducing him without even knowing.

She had always done that even during their honeymoon.
He had to keep himself from staring at her else he would lose his cool.

She was punishing him...
She was so cruel...

Location: Singh Group Company.

"Come in..." Aditi responded and his secretary came in to notify him of Anthonia's presence.

She had requested to see him.

"Let her in."

Anthoniashut the door behind her and held onto the blue cased file in her hand.

Aditi looked up from the system he was working with and smiled at her.

"Well... someone finally wants to talk to me..."

Anthoniarolled her eyes and walked up to the desk.

"Maybe I don't really want to talk too much." Anthoniashrugged and dropped the file before Aditi who stared at her surprised before picking up the file to check it out.

In a matter of seconds, he had pulled on what seemed like a shocked expression before cloaking it.

"What is this?" He demanded raising his gaze to stare at her.

"A divorce letter.I want a divorce." Anthoniastated and he got off his seat like it was suddenly too hot for him.

"Divorce?...are you out of your mind?" Aditi asked and she scoffed.

" Of course I am." She snapped.
" I'm sick and tired of this game....this nightmare called marriage.I need my freedom. Being with you...makes me feel so sick. I can't love you...you can never love me. We hate each other, Aditi...so let us split..."Anthoniasaid and Aditi only shook his head.

" Wow! I never expected this from you Anthonia...." He said in a low tone that came out coldly .

"Get out of my office…" He deadpanned glaring hard at her and for a moment…a split moment…her heart ached.

"OUT!" He banged the table and she jerked before hurrying out of the office, vibrating as her whole body shook.
She got into the elevator and sat on the floor letting all her tears pour as the doors closed.

She hated being weak.
She hated the fact that he was having so much effect on her.
She couldn't bring herself to love him….to fall for a man like him…
She had to end the madness going on.

"Where's Anthonia?" Deven asked Maya as he got to her corner.

"I think she went to the CEO'S office." Maya replied with a sweet smile.
He nodded and walked away leaving her disappointed as usual.

Anthoniarushed into the ladies bathroom and began to wash her face.
She didn't want to cry again…she didn't want to feel weak towards him.

"You want this Anthonia…from the very beginning. You asked for it…why are you being so silly now?..." Anthoniasaid glaring at her reflection.

As the women served dinner, Janvi returned to the table.

"What did he say?" Diya asked as everyone faced Janvi.

"Deven said he has not opened his office door yet." Janvi sighed and the mood at the table worsened.

Her Mother-in-law wasn't looking happy either.

"What happened at the office,Anthonia?" Diya asked, staring intently at Anthoniawho for once was speechless.

"N…nothing. I have no idea." She finally stuttered and continued serving but Diya could feel something was up.

She got off her seat as everyone faced her.

"Am leaving.." she said .

"To where?" Aunt Indu asked.

"My bestie can't be locked up in his office and I will sit and eat. No way." Diya replied and rushed out of the house.

Anthoniaslowly sat down observing the table.
No one had touched their meal.
They were worried.

Did she really cause this much harm to a family that loves her?

Diya rushed past the secretary and met Deven at the door.

"He hasn't opened yet?" She asked and he nodded.

"Adi it's me…please open up…" Diya pleaded.

No response….

"Everyone back at home is worried. No one has eaten yet including Granny. If you don't open up…she will miss her medication…" Diya added yet there was no response.

She faced Deven worried.

"Do something Deven. Get a spare key or something.." Diya said desperately.

"We can't break this door open Diya…and there's no spare key…." Deven replied and Diya sighed then knocked on the door.

"Adi…. please…."

She suddenly heard movements and then a turning lock….the door was unlocked and Diya quickly opened the door and rushed in.

Before her was Aditi….her Aditi.

She hugged him tight then pulled away.
He reeked of alcohol.

"You've been drinking…." She gasped and arranged his messed up hair.

"Oh Adi…" she sighed.

Location; Singh's Mansion

Anthoniahad made Granny have her meal and medication but the others had lost their appetite.

The men only ate little and began waiting for them.

They finally arrived and Aditi's Mother was the first to hug him as all the ladies expressed their joy at his return.

Anthoniaonly stood watching and Aditi headed up the stairs.

Finally,

The peace had been restored.

Diya walked up to Anthoniawhen they were finally alone in the living room.

"I know you have a hand in what's going on with Adii and when I figure it's true…." Diya shook her head with a smrik.

"... you would regret my reaction Anthonia…trust me.." she deadpanned and walked away.

Anthoniapalmed her face and sighed.
Somehow, she was already regretting her actions.

Anthoniawalked into the room and shut the door.
The room was oddly dark with only the moonlight streaming in and a bedside lamp on which barely illuminated the room.

Anthoniacaught a whiff of smoke and groaned lowly.
She felt rooted to the floor and couldn't move.
The little light helped her see Aditi seated by his side of the bed.

He finally put out the cigarette and laid to sleep as Anthoniaexhaled before moving to the bed.

He didn't separate the bed and none of the pillows were on the bed.

The discovery stunned Anthonia.
She definitely couldn't sleep on the bed with him…like that.
Could she?

Two days had passed since that incident and the rift between Aditi and Anthoniaappeared wider than when they had gotten married recently.

Anthonia, Janvi and Kaeya had passed the exam but Anthoniacouldn't bring herself to celebrate.

The tension was too much and the family was already noticing the fact that Aditi doesn't stay at the table for long the moment Anthoniasits next to him.

The first to note it was Diya then the Granny.

The rest didn't see it as anything.
Then the way Anthoniaseems to purposely not serve Aditi or the way he began serving himself.
Everything was off between the two except for the fact that the bed couldn't be divided again.

It was Saturday and Anthoniahad fixed a date with Kaeya at a coffee shop.
She really needed to talk to someone and Kaeya was the best choice.

By noon, Anthoniawas prepared and she left the mansion.
