All the prayer plates were ready for the women to use

"You should go get ready my dear. It's almost time." Mother notified and I smiled nodding positively as I headed up to the room.

In no time,Mother and Krish would arrive soon enough.
I had a long relaxing bath which helped in reducing my hunger a bit.

I took my time getting beautiful and adorned.
No doubt, I'd be the center of attraction tonight.
I finally applied my vermilion and pulled on a charming smile.
My stomach suddenly grumbled reminding me of the fact that I haven't eaten for thirteen hours for the very first time since my existence.

I heard a knock on the door.
Least I forget,I haven't seen Aditi after breakfast.
I shrugged off the thought and got off the seat heading to the door and I opened it to behold Krish!

"Aah!" I screamed hugging her really tight.

"O my goodness Krish! I missed you!"I exclaimed and pulled off admiring her totally.

"Goodness Krish.. you look so beautiful." I complimented and she chuckled waving a hand off.

"Quit it Anthonia. You are way more beautiful and stunning!" Krish grinned and I rolled my eyeballs.

"You wish. When did you arrive?"I asked.

"Just now. I immediately came up to see you. I missed you and your sassy self alot." She chuckled and I grinned.

"Did you see Mother?" I asked.

"Oh yes! She's with your Mother-in-law. Both are really making great gist partners." Krish giggled and I joined in.

"Com'on,let's go to the roof top and wait for moon rise." Krish urged and we moved on.

Tonight felt so great!
Finally seeing Mother and Krish after a long time...it's a great thing.

"Anthonia, have you seen Diya around?" Mother-in-law asked and I scoffed.

"No, I haven't ...."
And I don't want to.

I noticed Aditi was yet to be seen and the moon rise was drawing real close.

Kaeya and Lara really bonded already while Deven on the other hand didn't stop looking Kaeya's way .

Funny...

Kaeya actually fasted...but for who?

Dunno why, but.... Aditi absence began to bother me .

I mean...we are married and I fasted for....him...at least...he's meant to be here by now.

Diya POV

I admired my very pretty self
I am definitely going to get Aditi to break my fast and Anthoniawould watch him do it before her very own eyes.

I grinned taking one last look at my reflection and headed out of the room.

Anthonia POV

I noticed everyone acknowledged a person's entrance.

"Hey look ..it's Adi..." Krishi nudged at me and l turned to behold Aditi.

My lips parted partially as I stared at him.
He was all dressed in black leather pants, plain shirt and a black leather jacket surely giving him a killer look as all his golden ornaments glowed all over him under rhe upcoming moon light.

I heard a faint call of my name yill fingers snapped before my eyes drawing me back to reality.
I fluttered my lashes snapping right out of my trance.

I glanced at Krish who has a smirk on and I turned to look at Aditi only to find out he's gone.
Huh?

Diya POV

The moon slowly rose to the joy of everyone.
Finally...

My fast for Adi would be broken by him.

"Hey!.. what happened?" Adi asked as I pulled him to a corner.

He doesn't know a thing about all these fast event going on,so it'd be actually easy.

"Look Adi, I um....I actually fasted for you and l feel so thirsty already. Could you please help me?" I requested with a pout and he sighed.

"Anything for you Diya."

I grinned and began the necessary ritual.

Anthonia POV

.. The rituals had already begun and am yet to find Aditi.

"Step sister.."
I heard a call and turned to see Nathasha .
Oh!

"You're here..." I arched a brow.

"Of course. Um... where's your husband?. Oh wait... I know..he must have ditched you for another woman." She sniggered and I glared at her.

"You really don't get tired huh?" I scoffed and she chuckled.

"Of course not. You and l know just how much rivals we are." Nathasha replied and I rolled my eyeballs.

"Rivals?. The last time I checked Nathasha,we were never dragging anything or are you suddenly turning yourself to a mistress.... to my husband?"I sneered and she glared at me as I chuckled..

"Listen, whatsoever plan you have got under your sleeves...I'll definitely expose them. Stay clear." I warned and walked off in search for Aditi.

Diya POV.

Adi lifted the jar slowly up to my lips so he could feed me the water and finally break my fast when I felt the jar been slapped away from my lips as it's content spilled on the floor.

Adi and I turned in shock to see who did it,only to meet the angry gaze of Anthonia!
Ugh!

"Why did you so that?" Adi demanded in a cold tone as she shot him a death glare.

"How dare you ask me such?" She snapped and be scoffed.
It was a great thing we were at a corner away from prying eyes.

"I've been waiting for you to come break my fast only to see you about to break another woman's fast? What the hell is your stress?" She rasped and I gasped.
I glanced at Adi who had a stunned face on.
Jeez!

"Adi..."I called but he never looked away from Anthonia.

"Am so sorry. Never knew she fasted for you." I sighed and noticed Anthoniaeyes glinted.

"I'll leave now." I said and walked away not after glaring at Anthonia.

Damn her!

Anthonia POV

I so wanted to hit this guy so much!
I was about to speak more words when Mother and Mum-in-law showed up.

"Goodness! What's happening? You are yet to break her fast son." Mother-in-law exclaimed and I only kept a disgusted face on.

"Com'on... com'on...break her fast." She further urged and Aditi did an eye roll causing me to fume more in anger.

I took the tray Mother-in-law offered me and angrily began the ritual.

How dare she!?

Aditi took up the jar lifting it to my lips as our gazes locked.
I drank from it and he dropped it back on the tray and fed me from the sweet in the tray and our Mothers cheered.

Aditi walked off immediately while I rolled my eyeballs.

"You two are just perfect!" Mother-in-law exclaimed while Mother laughed.

"Oh Anthonia... you..."

"I'll leave now Mother." I cut in and gave her a long hug.

"Take care dear." Mum cooed as I pulled on a light smile disengaging from the hug and walked away.

I packed my hair in a messy bun and headed for the bed.

Simultaneously, Aditi walked into the room and I paused eyeing him badly before arranging my sides of the bed.

He got busy taking off his jewelries as I rolled my eyeballs at him.
So he isn't going to apologize about the event at the roof top huh?

"So.... you decided to go break your supposed bestie fast over mine huh?" I began with whatever entered my head.

"... and you are too proud to utter an apology? Did you know what you were about to do? Do you have any single idea on...."

"On what?!" Aditi interrupted turning to face me

"Tell me..? Besides,did I ever ask you to fast for me?" He asked and I felt a cut in my chest.

"Hold on. According to what I recently got to know,only a wife fast for the well being of her husband. So how did you fast for me? You hate me as much as you 'think' I hate you. You don't have to blame me. Diya is my bestie and am more than certain that she fasted for my own good. Listen up Anthonia,we are only joined by a piece of stup*d paper. I don't want this marriage as much as you don't want it. I feel bored, trapped,tied down being with you. Do you know how many great fun things being married to you have been prevented by me all in the name of marriage!?" He paused glaring at me probably letting his words sink in me.

I gulped down the heavy lump in my throat and blinked back my rising tears.

"Thanks for ruining my night " He finalized coldly and stormed out of the room with the shutting door making me jerk.

Did...did Aditi really say all those words to me?

A year rolled down my cheek but I quickly wiped it off.

I shouldn't care now, should I?
His words shouldn't hurt me in any way.

I turned heading to the bed.
