Chapter 110



Days passed by and by the day Daniel and Vanessa knew each other the more. As the day passed, the less the scandal news became and the less relevance it had on social media because more scandals of different people were out except for those working in the company that wouldn't allow the topic to die. They kept on bringing up the topic and making it a gossip round the company especially when they saw the both of them together.


Daniel and Vanessa would always talk together about work and other things and would always eat together on the dining table happily without creating a scene or arguing with each other. As each day passed their bond became stronger. They went to the press conference together. They acted as a happy couple who would accept anything their partners did as long as they were happy with it. Since, the both of them did as the board of directors instructed, they didn't talk about impeaching Daniel as the CEO anymore.


Vanessa loved the way things were going, her business, her friend, her husband and also her contract marriage all were perfectly going well. She hoped and prayed it would last forever. While Daniel found peace at home and became a fan of Vanessa. He always wants to be around her at all times and when she wasn't there he felt so empty.


'Hi bestie." Allyson said in a loud tone as she walked into Vanessa's office with two two plates of food.


Vanessa was busy with work so she wasn't able to leave her office during break.


'Allyson you startled me, and why didn't you knock the door before coming in?" Vanessa asked Allyson, still startled as she dropped her pen on the desk.


'Is that really necessary besides I already asked your secretary as she told me you had no visitor. So…" Allyson replied to Vanessa as she placed the plate of food on her table.


'What are you doing there? Come over here, let's have lunch."

'I had a feeling you would be hungry but you have a lot of work on your desk that's why I didn't see you downstairs. So, I decided to go get lunch for the both of us." Allyson said to Vanessa as she opened the food so they could eat together.


'Thanks so much Allyson, I was really famished but I have too much unfinished work on my desk and you know I have to finish them. That's why I didn't come down for lunch."


'Okay, so that means I guessed right?" Allyson asked Vanessa as she handed over one of the plates of food to her


'Yes you really did." Vanessa replied to Allyson as she immediately pounced on the food.


'You better calm down so you don't choke." Allyson said to Vanessa as she watched her rush the food like someone who had just been released from a cage.


They both ate and drank together happily.


'Nessay money ' Allyson teased Vanessa when they finished eating.


'What happened, why the sudden hype?" Vanessa asked Allyson, curiously.


'Have you seen yourself in the mirror lately"


'Yes of course" She replied to her as she chuckled.


'You are glowing babes," Allyson said to Vanessa, happily.


'Mmm, are you being serious right now."


'Yes I am, ever since you and Daniel became so close, I noticed that lately."


'Common stop it, I knew you were up to something."


'I am serious Nessa, you glow differently from the way you used to before."


Vanessa rushed to grab her phone so see could check her face through it.


'What? I don't see any difference in my face." She said as she checked her face through her phone.


'Really? But hope you remember I am your best friend and I would never lie to you. I said you glow differently and I noticed you are always blushing lately." Allyson said to Vanessa.


'You know what Allyson, it's high time you leave my office besides break us over and we are done eating already." Vanessa said to Allyson as she pursued her out of her office, jokingly.


'Okay fine I will go but promise me we will meet later and talk about everything." Allyson asked Vanessa before leaving her office.


'Yes, yes Allyson, I promise you we will talk about it later okay." She assured her.


As soon as she locked the door she ran back inside the room to check her face very well.


'Is she really serious, but how come I didn't notice it and I always make sure I use the mirror everyday in the morning." Vanessa said to herself as she rubbed her cheeks.


Back In the mansion..


Vanessa had just gotten back from work this time around she was back without Daniel because he had a lot of unfinished work to do in the office. She was so stressed so she went straight to the bathroom to take her shower. When she was done taking her shower she went to lay in bed for a little while before coming downstairs to eat.


She took her phone and saw that there were too many notifications.


'What exactly is going on right now? I was online a few minutes ago. Why are there so many notifications?" Vanessa said to herself as she checked what was going on.


'What an exclusive interview." Vanessa shouted as soon as she saw the reason why there were too many notifications.


'Oh no not again." Vanessa shouted as the phone slipped down her hands.


Back at the office…


Daniel was done with some of his unfinished work and decided to give Vanessa a call. When he picked up his phone before he could place a call he noticed that there were too many notifications. So he decided to check what was going on.


'Oh no not again!" Daniel shouted as he banged the table.


'Mathilda will not go scored free this time around" Daniel said to himself as he took his jacket and went out of the office.


As he walked out he kept on thinking of how Vanessa would feel when she saw it because he knew there was no way Vanessa wouldn't see it because it was already posted on the company's platform.


'Oh my god! Who the f*ck is this Mathilda girl? She just leaked a sex tape last week and now it's an exclusive interview?" Allyson half yelled to herself while staring at her phone.


'How can she even say such a thing?" Allyson asked herself angrily. She started wondering how Vanessa will be feeling after seeing the lastest.


Allyson stood up immediately and headed to her room do she can change into something nice and head to Vanessa's house.


When Mathilda was done dressing she rushed out of the house and entered a cab, while the cab was driving her to Vanessa's house she was hoping Vanessa will not try to do anything stupid to herself.

Vanessa was sitting on the couch thinking of what next to do since it's taking forever for the news of the sex tape to stop, just yesterday she summoned the courage to step out and shop, while she was in the mall people couldn't stop talking about it so she had to walk away angrily.


'I can't wait for all these to end," Vanessa said to herself and placed her hand on her head.


'Babe are you okay?" Allyson rushed towards Vanessa when she saw Vanessa's hand on her head.


Vanessa was shocked to see Allyson because she didn't call nor did she knock before walking inside the house.


'I didn't hear you knock." Vanessa said Allyson calmly. It was then Allyson noticed she actually didn't knock before walking into the house.


'Oh yeah I was too worried about you that I forgot to knock." Vanessa turned to look at her, she was not convinced by what Allyson said because she know Allyson to be someone that doesn't knock on the door.


'Whatever. Why are you still worried about me? I have accepted my fate and I'm sure the whole sex tape thing will soon end, I just need to remain indoor for sometime." Vanessa said to Allyson and heaved a sigh.


Allyson was confused at this point; she was trying to figure out if Vanessa was aware of Mathilda's interview or not.


'Just the sex tape?" Allyson asked Vanessa. Vanessa wanted to overlook it but on a second thought she was wondering why Allyson would ask such a question.


Vanessa turned to look at Allyson's face and it was obvious to her that Allyson was definitely hiding something from her.


'Is there something I need to know?" Vanessa asked Allyson. Allyson scratched her head and turned to look at Vanessa who couldn't stop staring at her.


'No. It's nothing, and I'm happy you are slowly trying to be happy again." Allyson said to Vanessa. The way she behaved and talked made Vanessa know that there is definitely something wrong.


'You know you're not a good actor, so just tell me, what is going on?" Vanessa insisted. Allyson couldn't believe that she couldn't keep such a thing to herself without making Vanessa know that there is something wrong.


Allyson turned on her phone and handed it to Vanessa. Nessa was looking at Allyson wondering what's ok the phone that she had handed to her, she turned to look at the phone and was shocked to see the video.


'Not again, this same girl?" Vanessa half yelled when she saw the video.


'Why is she talking trash about me? When she doesn't even know me." Vanessa asked rhetorically.


Allyson was trying to calm Vanessa but to her greatest surprise Vanessa didn't cry.


'Vanessa, are you okay?" Allyson asked her when she saw the look on Vanessa's face.


'Yes I'm fine." Vanessa replied to Allyson almost immediately.


'I don't know why but I think this is beyond ordinary, I feel someone has paid this Mathilda girl to do all these." Allyson said to Vanessa.


Vanessa wouldn't believe what her friend said, she suddenly found it funny and started laughing in pain.


'The sex tape! The kiss! And now this interview! These are all Daniel' doings. If he never had sex with her such stupid interview will never be out there. Did you hear what she said about me? She just called me a spoiler brat that is after someone else's boyfriend! She said I forced myself into Daniel' life, that she is the one Daniel loves! And you tell me someone is paying her for this?" Vanessa couldn't hold in the tears anymore.


Allyson felt bad because it suddenly looked like she triggered the tears, if she had not said anything there would have been no tears from Vanessa.


'I'm sorry Nessa, it was just an opinion, please don't cry." Allyson said to Vanessa and patted her on her back.


'It's fine, it's not your fault. It all Daniel fault." Vanessa said and clenched her teeth. This is what Allyson was trying to avoid, she doesn't want a situation where Vanessa will hate Daniel, but it now looks like the situation can't be helped because from the way Vanessa sounded it's clear she blames Daniel for everything.


'Have you two talked already?" Allyson asked Vanessa. Nessa was quiet when she heard Allyson's question.


'I was about to do that today, but after this interview, I don't think I want to see his face anymore." Allyson swallowed her silica when she heard what Vanessa said because from the way she sounded nothing can change her mind.


'It's okay if you don't want to talk to him, but make sure the suggestion is from your heart and not from a place of anger." Allyson advised Vanessa.


At this point Vanessa has chosen not to use her heart to decide because what her heart was telling her is too nice for the situation at hand.


'My head hurts a lot because I have been feeling dizzy since last night." Vanessa complained to Allyson. Allyson was wondering what could be the cause.


'You are streaming yourself too much that's why." Allyson concluded. Vanessa was not convinced but she had no other choice but to follow what Allyson said because since the release if the sex tape she has been unable to have a good night rest.


'You think so?" Vanessa asked Allyson.


'Yes dear, that should be the only reason." Allyson replied Vanessa.


Vanessa rested her head on Allyson's shoulder like a baby that needs to be pampered.


'I just want all these to end soon." Vanessa said to Allyson.
