The previous term had ended in a jiffy as the holiday rolled in and out as the students returned to school after their short spring break.

Every student felt great joy in their own way.

The seniors in Grade 12 were excited to graduate while Grade 11 were preparing so hard to become seniors in a matter of a few months or weeks to come.

Diana Pov

"When would the form be out?" I asked the girls as we fixed our corners and they shrugged.

"Anytime we hear the news." Denise said and I nodded.

"Don't forget to go meet Dave. He said he needed to speak with you." Denise notified me and I sighed.

True...

During the spring break, he had sounded so stressed over the phone when he said he had something to tell me on resumption day.

When I was done fixing my corner, I changed into something cute.
I felt I needed to look extra pretty.

After all, today would make I and Dave six months into dating.

I bade the girls and headed out.
Outside,the rain from the sky had already began to drizzle lightly.

This month has been so wet since it began.

I soon arrived Dave's dorm building and headed straight for his room.

I happily opened the door and walked in closing it to meet Dave in the room.
Be had his back against me and I smiled moving to hug him from behind.

I felt him stiffened before loosing up then turned to face me as I broke the hug.

"You are here." He stated and I nodded before noticing he wasn't smiling nor holding me tight neither did he call me babe.

"Are you okay?" I asked tenderly stroking his hair but he stepped away.

"You need to know something Diana." Dave spoke up and I furrowed my brows.

Even when we had a misunderstanding, he never called me by my name but... he just did.

What's happening?

Anthonia Pov

I beamed happily upon hearing the news.

Ryan's sister gave birth to a baby boy two days ago.

"Too bad you couldn't stay back to see the baby. I beg he is as cute as his uncle " I teases as Ryan smiled bouncing the basketball.

"Quit teasing me Anthonia." He said and I grinned.

"Am only complimenting my boyfriend duh..." I replied and he chuckled.

I smiled watching him leisurely play the ball.

All thanks to Diana's cooperation, I and Ryan are happy together.

The only problem I have now is the fact that Ryan and Diana would be together most of the time all in the name of being Presidents.

Ugh!


Diana Pov

"What's happening Dave? You never address me by my name." I said totally confused.

"Yeah. That was when we were still good." He replied and I scoffed.

"What are you talking about? Instead of you to celebrate with me on our sixth month together, you are busy acting so weird." I pointed out.

"Yeah. You are totally right Diana. Fvck those six months." Dave snapped facing me and I felt my heart skip a painful beat.

"Dave.." I whispered and he scoffed.

"Am tired Diana. Am sick and tired of pretending I still love you. What am I even saying, I never loved you. Never!" He sneered and I palmed my mouth in shock then shook my head.


"No Dave.. you are lying. What sort of April joke is this? Cut it out cause it isn't funny." I stuttered and he chuckled darkly.

"I would be leaving this place tomorrow and needed to clear this sh*t between us before leaving. We are done Diana,use the door." Dave spat

"How could you Dave?" I muttered in shock as tears streamed down my cheeks.

"How? Everything we shared,all the memories,they were false? Why Dave? Why? Why did you do this to me? Why did you ever ask me out? Why did you step into my heart? I gave you my all, I gave you my heart...."

"But not your body Diana!" Dave snapped.

"You are so boring. I can't even touch you properly." He added.

"But you did!" I retorted angrily.

"You did.." I broke down in fresh tears.

I glared at him as I felt a different emotion explode inside of me.

All I saw before me was a monster and not the Dave I knew.
The one who would call me babe,the one who made me laugh, the one who got me a precious gift.

I lifted my left wrist glaring at the bangle Dave had given me.

I took it off angrily and threw it at him.

"I hate you Dave Harry! I hate you!" I rasped and stormed out of the room with tears threatening to spill.

Everything was all a lie!
The love was false!
I hurried to the school orchard trying to hide my tears.

As soon as I stepped into the quiet cool place,my tears began to spill endlessly.

He played me!
It was all a sick pretence!
Everything!

I slumped on the grassy field and began to sob till the rain came pouring down really fast and violent.

It felt like nature also had the same hurting feeling with me.
I felt used, dirty,lied to.!

Why me!?
Why!?

I cried till my eyes felt sore and out of water.

I weakly got off the grass and headed out after arranging my drenched body like I had fallen into a pile of dirt.



Denise Pov

Delia and I laughed at Abigail's joke.
She had come to see us minutes after Diana had left.

The door opened and we all wanted Diana to walk in and I couldn't explain how I felt upon seeing her.

She seemed to have taken a bath because her extra outfit in the bathroom was what she had on but that wasn't the matter.

Her eyes were all red and puffy.

"Diana!" We all called rushing to her staggering self and led her to the bed them used a duvet to cover her up.

"What happened to you Diana? Your eyes are red and puffy." Delia queried and Diana broke into tears that stunned us.

We glanced at each other and faced her again.

"What's going on Diana?" Abigail demanded and Diana suddenly hugged her tightly.

"He lied to me... He used me.,. He said.. he said am boring. Dave broke up with me!" Diana wailed and shock was boldly written on our faces.

"Tell me you are kidding." I deadpanned.

"He fvcking broke up with me! He had a betrothed that loves so much all along!" Diana yelled breaking from the hug as she hugged herself crying out loud.

"How dare he?!" Delia growled and I fumed angrily while Abigail tried calming Diana.

"That boy just pushed the wrong button. He is so dead!" I swore and fisted my palms imagining how I would hit him to a fine ugly pulp.


Next Day

Writer Pov

The girls dorm room was a huge mess, tissues were alover Diana's bed and packs of half eaten chips added to it not forgetting cans of soda.

Diana laid still on her bed fast asleep while the girls watched her for a while and let out a sigh.

"Do you think she would be fine.?" Denise asked worried.

"Am certain. She needs to rest meaning she will miss classes today." Delia replied.

"It won't affect her post right?" Denise wondered.

"I hope so." Delia groaned.

The room door opened and Abigail stepped in.
Her gaze fell on Diana and she heaved a thankful sigh.

"When did she fall asleep?" She asked.
"5am." They chroused.

"Damn!" Abigail muttered then suddenly gasped.

"I saw Dave this morning." She announced.

"So what?" Denise scoffed.

" He is leaving the school today." Abigail added.

"WHAT!!?"..

Dave stepped out of the Admin building holding a file which he fixed into his backpack.

"DAVE!" He heard an angry call of his name and looked up to see three girls approaching him wearing killer looks.

He recognised them to be Diana's friends and he scoffed.

"How may I help you?" He asked pulling on a smrink and Abigail was the first to give him a free slap as the impact made his head turn to a side and he faced Abigail gritting his teeth.

"What the h*ll was that for!?" He growled lowly and Delia scoffed.

"You are so heartless Dave. How could you? You played our friend for six months! Six fvcking months Dave!" She rasped

"Prepare to meet your maker." Denise deadpanned and Dave scoffed.

In a jiffy, the girls had pulled him with great effort to the gym to carry out their master plan.

Denise Pov

We thanked the snack lady and headed for the exit holding four paper bags,one belonging to Diana containing her favourite snack and drink.

We decided to go check up on her during recess and are on our way.

"Dave deserved what he got. He is a total jerk!" Abigail scoffed and I nodded.

"He should go to his LOML with a purple face." I sneered and laughed.

Up ahead, we all spotted Diana emerging from the class building and we hurried to her

"Diana!" We called and she looked up to see us as we drew closer.

"What are you doing outside the dorm? You ought to be resting." Delia asked and she gave a weak smile.

"Am fine girls. A breakup isn't worth making me miss classes." Diana stated and I sighed.

"We got you your favourite anyways." I notified and gave her the bag containing her snack.

She glanced inside and crumpled her face.

"Sausage rolls?" She muttered.

"Yeah! Your favourite." Abigail giggled and we noticed a year slide down her cheek.

"Diana" we called gathering her .

"What is it?" Delia tenderly asked and she sighed.

"Dave once baked me sausage rolls." Diana muttered to our hearing and I scoffed.

"That fuse is so annoying. Ok fine. You can have my snack. We will try to avoid anything that would remind you of Dave." I assured and she gave a tiny smile which really broke my heart.

Ryan Pov

"Kill me? Did that dude really dump Diana?" Carl exclaimed as we had lunch and Nathan scoffed.

"I knew he had a different motive. Who would suddenly date a newbie without any chemistry." He added

I had lost my appetite when Ca broke the news earlier on.

I really wonder how Diana would be coping with this right now. She is nowhere in the canteen right now.

"That's those lovers business. Good things rarely last only few does." Anthonia said with a shrug and I sighed lowly.

My heart felt relieved when Diana stepped in with her friends but the look on her face made my blood boil.

The pretty face I know had turned pale and she had eyebags and dark circles.

That jerk!
How did I not see this coming.?

Location: Basketball court

Diana Pov

I tied my shoelace and got up on my feet before staring at my reflection.

Am now a shadow of myself looking so weak and pale.

I can't believe Dave played me.
This break up is alot more worse than my grade 9 breakup.

I let out a tired groan and headed out to the open court as practice began soon enough.

Surprisingly, Anthonia don't trouble me as she does every time instead, she acted so cool with me prolly out of pity about my break up.

Somehow,the news had gone round Grade 11 A.

After practice, I hit the showers and changed into casual wear.

The Elite didn't come for practice today as it wasn't their day or turn to use the court.

The last cheerleader left while I brushed my now long hair which threatened to reach my waist level.

I urgently need to trim it.

I still can't believe that all Dave's action towards me were based on lies.

The song, the dates,the romantic moments are all false.

Love really isn't for me or maybe I haven't found the right one for me.

I picked up my duffel bag and headed out of the change room when I bumped into Ryan.
Our bodies didn't touch tho.

"Hi." I muttered and tried moving but he took hold of my arm and I froze.

"Diana, what's going on?" He asked and I looked up into his eyes which held worry to my own understanding.

"Why are you here?" I asked back and he let go of my arm.

"Don't give me that reply Diana. Did Dave really do that to you?" Ryan demanded and I scoffed.

"What did you hear? That he played me and broke up with me? Well, you heard right. I got played cause am boring okay? Love isn't for me." I said and hurried away with him coming after me.

"Diana, Diana please wait." He pleaded and I leaned on the tree between the basketball court and the gym.

My tears began to flow again hurting my eyes so much but I couldn't bring myself to stop.

Ryan stepped closer to me and cupped my face before wiping my tears which still poured.

"Hush now. Please." Ryan pleaded and encased me in a hug, a hug that I needed so much.

"Quit crying cherry. You are hurting your pretty eyes." Ryan cooed stroking my hair and I held onto his leather jacket trying so hard to quit crying.

"Quit crying and it would help you feel better, please." He pleaded and it took a while for my tears to end in sniffs.

"What part of this premises calm you down?" Ryan asked as his hot breath fanned my ear.

"Orchard." I muttered audibly and he broke the hug.

"Do me a favor and head there. I will join you soon." Ryan said arranging my hair and I nodded before we parted ways.

I will be needing an eye care soon enough.
Thankfully, I knew where to get tea bags.

I arrived the orchard and opted for the apple tree and sat on the grass in wait for Ryan.

"Diana?" I heard Ryan's call and replied then he followed the sound of my voice and found me.

He held a wrapped rectangular box which was obviously pizza and a stronger white polythene held a medium sized bowl.

Ryan sat beside me and opened the items revealing pizza and strawberry ice-cream which turned out to be multi flavoured and I grinned suddenly feeling happy.

Ryan opened the pizza and washed his hand with the bottled water he came with.

"I will feed you the pizza and ice-cream. In times like this,junk is a great way to calm down." Ryan said and winked at me.

He picked up a slice of pizza to feed me when I stopped him.

"What about your girlfriend?" I blurted out and he sighed.

"We aren't doing anything wrong Diana. You are a friend in distress and am only helping you." Ryan replied and I nodded, biting my lower lip.

Ryan began feeding me as I soon returned the favor while we began to talk about random topics.

By dusk, I felt a lot better while my head was resting on Ryan's laps as he stroked my head slowly till I drifted off to sleep due to how tired I felt.

Ryan Pov

While she slept for close to an hour,I watched her.

She doesn't deserve one bit of what Dave did to her and am more than ready to take away all her pain in any way.

I reached and caressed her lips render feeling the softness and I craved to kiss her...so bad.

She suddenly stirred up from her sleep and parted those enchanting eyes.

Diana Pov

I moaned and stretched sitting up as Ryan watched me.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked and I nodded.

"We should get going." He notified and I sighed.

"Try to stay happy cherry. A forlorn look is unhealthy for you." Ryan advised as he walked me to the dorm.

Only a few students were around since dinner was going on.

"I will. Thanks for everything m" I appreciated.

"Good night." He based and I waved before walking into my dorm building.

Anthonia Pov

I fumed angrily as I watched Ryan and Diana talk freely till they parted.

She just went through a breakup yesterday and she is already hovering around Ryan.

"That girl would never learn until she receive a very bitter experience." Lesley said and Paige agreed with her.

"Just let it be girls. This is only a misunderstanding and I am sure about that." I said and they frowned.

Diana Pov

It's been over a month and a few weeks since Dave had broken up with me and left the school.

Over these last weeks, Ryan has been a great friend aside from the girls.

The only time we hanged out are during our patrol or after my cheer practice and in no time,the pain Dave caused me had vanished totally.

I noticed Anthonia's harsh approach towards me but I felt too adamant to steer away from Ryan and end our friendship.

After all, he deserves a friend.

I had just concluded history only to step out and meet Ryan.

"Why are you here? The students are staring." I said and he shrugged
"Why? Are you scared?" He teased me and I scoffed.

"Says who? Am not." I replied heading for the elevator.

"Anyways,the principal asked me to come with you. We will be expecting some guests today and our presence are needed." Ryan notified me and I nodded.

The female students with us in the elevator had a good time flirting with Ryan till the ride ended.

I fixed my books in my locker , closed it shut and followed Ryan out.

"Visiting day is tomorrow." Ryan said as we walked along the tarred path.

"Yeah. Would your parents come?" I asked and he sighed.

"They never come." He replied.
Whoa!

I bit my lower lip and decided to change the topic as we talked about the form to fill about our desired course to further in.
