'Vanessa I am sorry, please hear me out. You have been avoiding me when we see each other, you blocked on all social media and you also blocked me from calling you. Please can you wait, just hear me out." Daniel pleaded with her but she pretended like she didn't hear what he said.


They had just finished a board meeting which was organized personally by Daniel so he could see Vanessa. This was her first in the company ever since the scandal. All the workers and staff were so happy to see her because they have all missed her, the warm welcome that was given to her by the staff was so heartwarming. She felt so happy to see them welcome her very well. Daniel was also very happy I see her return to the company after so long.


He knew with this he would have the opportunity to see her more often.


'Please Vanessa hear me out" he pleaded with her but Vanessa was not ready to let it go so easily.


In as much as she was she had already forgive him and she also wanted to hear him out so badly she didn't want it to be so easy for him. She heard him clearly but she acted like she wasn't seeing him or hearing what she was saying she left the hall and went straight to her office.


'Welcome Ma'am, we are so happy to see you back here again." One of the stafff said to her, excitingly.


'Thanks" she replied him with a smile on her face and went into her office.


As soon as she got inside she called picked out her phone and called Allyson.


📞 'Hello Allyson, how are you doing."


📞 'I am fine thank you, so how is it going in the company."


📞 'It's going well pretty much than I expected."


📞 'Okay, so have you spoken to Daniel already?"


📞 'No! I told I wasn't going to make it so simple for him. Well he has been trying to look for opportunity to talk to me since morning but I have been ignoring him."


📞 'Vanessa!"


📞 'What?"


📞 'But this was not our agreement before you left today."


📞 'No that was the exact plan we had before I left today. I told you I was going to talk to him but I was not going to be that easy on him. I need to act tough a little bit, you know."


📞 'Yh I get you now, but please make sure you talk to him today and give him listening ear when he is talking to you." Allyson advised Vanessa.


📞 'Okay Allyson, I will talk to you later i need to attend to something really quick." Vanessa said to Allyson as soon as she saw Daniel walk through the door.


She ended the call immediately and placed a call across to her personal secretary.


📞 'Hello Ma'am, would you like me to do anything for you?" The secretary asked as soon as she got the message.


📞 'Didn't I warn you that I don't want to see anybody, I specifically told to that I would not be expecting any visitors so I wouldn't like to br disturb." Vanessa yelled at the secretary.


📞 'I am very sorry Ma'am, it just that he kept on insisting that he want to go in and see you."


📞 'And you never bothered to to place call across to me."


📞 'Ma I couldn't tell him to wait because he is the CEO and also your…" the secretary said before Vanessa stop her.


📞 'Because he is what? It seems you don't like your position in the company anymore."


📞 'I am sorry Ma, I promise it was never happen again."


📞 'It better not, because the next time this happens you will be saying bye to your job." Vanessa scolded the girl and ended the call.


Daniel was standing in front of her the whole time, he didn't say a word until she was done talking to the secretary.


'Hi" Daniel greeted Vanessa as he waved his hand to her smiling.


'I was trying to tell you something at the end of the meeting but it seems like you were not paying attention to me." Daniel continued.


He noticed Vanessa was not ready to talk to him and she was already planning on leaving her office for him. So he brought out an envelope and handed it over to her.


'Well this is for you." Daniel said to Vanessa as he handed over the envelope to her.


She didn't collect the envelope from him so he dropped it on her desk and left her office.


Vanessa was so curious to see what the envelope entailed. She didn't even wait for him to go outside before opening it . As she opened it she kept on wondering what it could be.


'Maybe it's a letter of apology or is this a letter for the termination of our marriage? ' she asked her in a low tone.


Finally she opened the envelope and she saw two letters so she first took one and checked it. She saw something entirely different from what she was expecting. It was a letter from the board of directors telling Daniel to step down as being the CEO for the time being for almost tarnishing the image of the company because of his sex tape that was leaked. Their only condition was that she came back to him and they live happily. The whole scandal would be settled with a press conference where they show the world that they were already back together in peace. They were already aware that she was no longer living with him nor talking to him.



After seeing what the first letter entailed Vanessa went and opened the second one and it was an apology letter from him. She felt so emotional while reading it. She was having mixed feelings and she really needed someone to talk to so she dropped the paper back on her desk and went to meet her friend for advice immediately.


Vanessa was packing back to the mansion. She was escorted by her best friend Allyson, who advised her to come back to the mansion.


'Welcome back home Ma'am," some of the workers in the mansion who saw her greeted her.


'Thank you guys." Vanessa responds with a smile on her face.


'I have actually missed here a lot." Vanessa said to Allyson as she touched her face and smiled.


'I also missed coming here to see you." Allyson said to her as they both stared at the house together.


They were both smiling, walking into the house while they helped carry her bags inside.


'Welcome back home." Daniel said to Vanessa as she walked into the sitting room.


She wondered why he was at home by this time of the day.


'Aren't you supposed to be at work by this time?" Allyson asked Daniel, curiously.


'I decided not to go today." Daniel replied.


'Okay I think I will start going now." Allyson said to the both of them.


'Why? aren't you going to wait a little bit before going?" Vanessa asked Allyson.


'No Nessa, I think we already talked about this before now." Allyson replied to her.


'But you just arrived, you should at least wait for lunch before going back." Daniel insisted.


'No Daniel, that won't be possible. I have an appointment today and I wouldn't want to be late for it." Allyson replied to Daniel as she gave Vanessa a peck and left.


Vanessa left Daniel and went straight to their room. They brought in her luggage and dropped it for her, Daniel also followed her to the room. He thanked them for helping her bring her bag upstairs and dismissed them.


'Thanks for coming back." Daniel thanked Vanessa and he tried helping her to untie shoelaces.


'Daniel, don't even think of trying anything funny with me. I only came back here because of what the board of directors were speculating so please don't even think of coming closer to me." Vanessa said to Daniel in an aggressive tone.


'I am sorry if I said or did anything bad." Daniel apologized.


Vanessa untied her shoelaces by herself.


'I am sorry for all the embarrassment I caused you, Vanessa. I am deeply sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I swear I tried to stop the video from going viral but it was already too late." Daniel apologized to Vanessa.


'You stopped the video from going viral?" Vanessa asked him as she chuckled.


'Yes I did," Daniel replied.


'Why didn't you stop yourself from sleeping with her? No you couldn't do that, right?" Vanessa asked him angrily.


'I am sorry."


'Daniel stop with the sorry, I know fully well that you are not even sorry."


'I swear I am"


'Whatever! It's not like you are ever going to admit it."


'Vanessa, I know that I was wrong to have slept with her but you know it is not my fault, I am a man."


'A married man Daniel, you are married!"


'Yes but you and I know that we have never… and you know I am a man and…"


'Don't even try to blame it all on me, you were a cheat from the very beginning."


'Hmmmm…"


'You can't talk again, or am I lying?" Vanessa asked Daniel when she noticed his silence.


'First it was Ava, a girl you met on our wedding night, Daniel on our wedding! And then it was Janet, a girl you met during our honeymoon and now Mathilda, a model in your company. It has always been from one problem to another." Vanessa said to Daniel, angrily in a very loud tone.


Daniel couldn't reply to her, he was so disappointed in himself and regretted his actions because he didn't want to break her heart. He knew she was calm and easy going and he had never seen her get angry like this before.


'Daniel, this marriage is still too young for all this. At this point I am tired of this marriage, ever since I signed the contract and became your wife all I have felt is pains and bitterness. I hoped and prayed to have a happy home even if it was a signed or contract marriage. I want to have that peaceful and loving home that ever wished to have Daniel. I don't deserve this, it's too much for me to handle." Vanessa said to Daniel as she broke down in tears.


Daniel felt bad when he saw her crying. He went closer to her and said to her;


'It was never my intention to sign the contract and cause you so much pain." As he tried touching her.


'Don't even think of coming close to me Daniel." Vanessa said to him.


'I am sorry ' He said to her in a very low tone while looking deep into her eyes.


This time Daniel went closer to her and gave Vanessa a kiss on her lips. She got angry so she pushed him and slapped him afterwards.


'How dare you?" Vanessa said to him.


'Ohhhh" Daniel signed as he bent his head. He didn't know what came over him. He was lust in her lips, he just couldn't resist her and seeing her cry made him feel guilty.


'What do you think of me Daniel? A commodity you purchased?" She asked him as tears welled down her eyes even more.


'Vanessa please give me another opportunity to make up with you and this time I promise to make you happy." Daniel said to Vanessa as he held her hands as looked deep into her eyes.


Daniel tried kissing Vanessa again but this time around she couldn't resist him. He kissed her and they both made out.
