Chapter 135: She is lovely.

~Raphael's POV~

When I woke up, I saw her lying beside me. The last time I passed out and woke, it was her lantern, now it is her.

It still felt unreal. However, knowing I had her with me now brought emotions I couldn’t describe. I had to calm myself, reminding myself I must keep my emotions under control, or I would put the people around me in danger.

I had not seen Caleb. Drogon had sent him as an emissary to a different kingdom. But Drogon wouldn’t tell me what it was about. He had taken Gemma and some of the Lycanthrope warriors.

Ava’s body shook slightly, and I knew she was waking soon. I pretended to be asleep. I heard her stand and stretch. As I closed my eyes, I discovered something new. Even with my eyes shut, I could still see clearly.

What was this? How powerful must Grey have been?

I hadn’t heard from him since our Merge. He only showed up when I was about to lose control, like yesterday in court.

"I know you’re not sleeping," Ava murmured. She kissed my forehead and tousled my hair.

"I’m going to have my bath. You can come join me."

I saw her walk toward the washing pool. Her waist swayed gently in a seductive manner. My little guy responds immediately.

My mate had changed. Ava was usually a calm soul, but now there was a coldness wrapped around her.

It hurt that I was the one who caused it.

"Raphael, are you not coming?" she called from the pool, the splash of water reaching my ears.

I stood up. Her arousal reached me calling to me like a sweet flavour. Fuck this.

I took the first step and immediately started feeling a tingling in my chest. I knew what it meant. Drogon had warned me that whenever we smell her desire, the one, now one with me, might show up.

A burning sensation lodged itself deep in my chest. I stood still, not moving forward or backwards. The pain wasn’t as intense as the dagger wound, but it was close.

I felt something, or rather someone, push out of me. My vision blurred until it stabilized again. Right in front of me stood someone who looked nothing like me but still felt like me.

His hair was black like the night. His eyes were dark onyx. He was built just like me. His mouth was rosy and full. Too handsome, though he didn’t come close to me.

"Hello, Vessel," he said, his voice arrogant.

Why should I share my mate with him?

"Logically, she is my mate as well."

Yeah. I had forgotten he could read my thoughts. I tried to look into his, but I saw nothing. His mind was blank. Empty.

"Why is your mind blank?" I blurted out. "Did you block me out?"

"No. I can’t. Nothing’s going through my mind. She needs us." His voice changed with those last words. He sounded… excited.

"Grey, don’t forget, if you harm her, I will destroy you, even if it means destroying myself."

"You think I would ever hurt our mate? Then you don’t know me."

I didn’t.

"Yes, you don’t. I get that. But I will never hurt that woman in there. I’d burn the three realms down just to keep her safe."

I nodded at him. We moved together toward the pool.

I stepped in first. Ava turned a gorgeous smile on her face. Water glistened on her pale skin. Her silver hair clung to her back like a wrap, covering her lovely ass.

"She is lovely," Grey murmured as he stepped fully into the room.

Ava turned, and her gaze found him. Her blue eyes flickered with confusion, and then she turned towards me and recognised him, fear. Or desire replaced her confusion.

"You…" she whispered. "You’re not him."

"No," Grey said. "I’m Grey. The one that lives inside him. I can't feel your wolf. Could we maybe ask that dragon to split you guys as well?"

She looked from him to me. Then back again.

Grey answers his question. " I guess that won't be possible." His eyes were still intensely fixed on her.

"So it’s both of you now." She asked, a little breathlessly.

"It always has been," I said.

She nodded slowly. "Then come. Both of you." I didn't have to wonder why she wasn't scared.

I just crossed the pool in a heartbeat, gripping her waist and pulling her into my chest. Her body melted against mine. Her soft gasp when I kissed her neck set my cock rock hard.

"Mmm..."

Grey came behind her silently. His hand brushed down her arm, slow and teasing. “You smell like heaven,” he growled low. “Do you know what that does to us?”

She turned her head, her breath brushing across my cheek. “Then show me.”

We lifted her out of the water and onto the silk-draped platform nearby. She laid back on the pillows, bare and beautiful. Her legs opened just slightly. Just enough.

Grey knelt between her thighs like a man ready to worship. I stayed behind her, my hands moving over her ribs, her breasts, every inch of her. I gently pinched her nipples.

She gasped when his mouth touched her inner thigh, soft and teasing. Her fingers curled in his hair, pulling him closer. Her hips lifted more giving him more access.

“You’ve become bold,” I whispered.

“I’m tired of waiting,” she breathed. “You’ve both taken everything from me. Now give me this.” later, just later, I will ask her what she meant.

I kissed her neck hard enough to mark her.

Grey’s tongue slid between her folds, circling around her clit and Ava cried out. Her hand reached for me blindly, clutching my wrist to her breast.

I brought my head down and licked on the nipples, sucking on them as if my life depended on it.

I moved beside her, watching her writhe beneath him. Her breath turned shallow. Her moans louder, and her hands fly in the air, looking to grip anything. I knew instantly She was going to come.

“Not yet,” I growled. “Not without me.”

Grey pulled back, licking his lips. “Then take her.”

I stood between her legs. Rubbing my cock against her cunt before I finally slid but not completely teasing her. Her nails dug into my shoulders.

"Please… Raphael…"

I pushed in slowly. Her body welcomed me, tight and wet. She cried out, my name.

I started to move, deep and slow. Her head fell back. Her mouth slack. Gasping.

Grey kissed her spine. “She needs both of us.”

“No,” I growled. “Not yet.”

“She can take it. She was made for us.”

“I want you both,” she whispered. “Please.”

I held myself deep inside her. Grey kissed her shoulder and steadied her as he pressed in behind.

She trembled. Her eyes wide. Her mouth opened, but no sound came until he filled her.

Then she screamed.

We moved together. Careful. Slow. But Ava didn’t want careful. She begged. Pleaded. Demanded.

We gave her more.

The room was filled with moans and gasps. Her body squeezed us both. She broke again and again, crying out until her voice was hoarse.

“You’re mine,” I growled.

“Ours,” Grey corrected.

Her body gave out, trembling as we spill into her, one after the other.

Grey kissed her temple. I held her.

For the first time in months, I felt peace
.

She had taken both halves of me, my monster and my soul, and she loved them both.

And I knew, from that moment on… I would never let her go.
