Chapter 141: I am doomed.

~Ava's POV~

"What truth?"

"Your truth, your highness. Do not I remind you of anyone?" No. I do not understand what she is saying.

I have never seen her. "Come in. I will try my best to provide all the answers that you all seek." She looked at Anastasia and then walked inside the hut.

The outside structure of the hut did not do the inside justice. The inside was in par with the luxury of the palace.

She waves her hands and gold dust comes from them. Chairs that I have only seen in my realm appeared. Meaning she has been to my realm.

"Sit. I will brew us some tea." We sat down. Everyone stunned. I did not allow myself to think things.

"I need the answers now!" I demanded. I sounded like a brat, but she had placed me in suspense.

"Hmmm... Always so impatient. Very well, princess."

"I am not a princess. Or a noble. Just call me Ava." After all, my origin and people have been lost.

"I know who you are and who you are not. What did the vessel of the dark one show you?"

She was talking about Alasia again. I just did not want to visit those memories but if it will bring Maya back to me, I was willing to do it.

"A lot of things. Which one of them do you want to know?" Gwen inhaled sharply.

I turned in her direction and I found her hands inside her undergarment. She was burning up again.

Anastasia had given me a heads up about her situation. And seeing my pumpkin like that broke my heart.

Her face was hot and red. Even sitting two sits away from her, I could feel the heat radiating from her.

"Pumpkin, are you alright?" I asked. I should not have because doing that drew attention from me to her.

Her face flushed in embarrassment when she saw everyone in the room staring at her with hands on her bosom and inside her undergarment.

I stood up shading her from the eyes of everyone. Trying to fix my error. "I am sorry, Pumpkin."

"It is not your fault," she said in a breathless rough voice. Now, that I was closer to her, I felt the heat more. Like someone being close to a very warm flame.

Goddess. "Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked. My eyes burned slightly when I saw how she was writhing either in pain or pleasure, I didn't know.

I sighted Anastasia from the corner of my eyes. She stood not too far from us. However, she did not come closer.

Gwen did not stop rubbing on herself. Would that give her relief? Tears fell from her eyes. I wanted to wipe them. Yet, I stood still, scared my attempt to help her might spoil whatever relief she was chasing.

Two seconds later, she was shaking and calling out Drogon's and Anastasia's name. I knew what that meant. I could not help but blush.

While this was going on, the old woman, well, she was not so old. She had been silent just brewing the tea.

At this moment, Gwen was quiet now and the heat I was feeling from her body had stopped. It did not feel hot anymore.

"Gwen?" I choked out. My tears formed a lump in my throat.

"I am okay now, Ava." She turns her gaze to Anastasia. "Ana, please stop crying. I am alright." It was at this moment, I realized the sniffling sounds I had been hearing were from her.

"Here." The lady handed Gwen a cup of tea. Gwen just stared at her. "It would help to stop another episode until you leave here." Gwen snapped the tea and gulped everything in one go.

"Come princess. Your friend will be alright. Sit." I followed her and sat across from her just like the others did.

"How can we help her?" She shakes her head.

"We cannot. She must have the seed of the dragon. It has always been that way."

"Why her?" I asked. It hurts. Why her? Why did I bring such a fate upon my friend?

"It is not your fault, princess. Even if it did not happen the way it did, it would still happen. The dragon and the witch have a fate even the gods cannot erase. Although they took have tried." She smiled sadly.

"Do you have answers for me?" Gwen asked in a small voice. Anastasia refilled her cup from the ceramic jug on the table.

"Yes. You are actually an old friend. Or more like your soul is. Although, your story would be for another day." She quickly added. Then she turns back to me.

I did not like the way she was looking at me. It made my skin crawl. What did she know that I did not know? Somehow, I did not want to know the answer.

"A lot of people died to save you princess. In the end, you ended up not escaping the prophecy and been bonded to him." Her tone was sorrowful like she was speaking to a wayward child that had erred, following the part.

"You speak in riddles woman. What happened to my wolf?" I was not in the mood for small talks. Lately, I have not been in the mood for a lot of things.

"What about the Mesodomica people?" Her question drops my heart. And I realized where I had seen features like hers.

They look so much like mine. Silver hair, blue eyes, although hers were darker. The features of the Mesodomica people that Raphael wiped out. I jumped out of my chair, suddenly feeling uncomfortable.

"Ava, what is wrong?" I do not answer Gwen because I do not have any answer to give.

"How do you know about the Mesodomica people?" Anastasia said, her tone sounding harsh.

"Why? Are you scared? Worried that the Mage clan will be revealed for the role they played?" Anastasia expression hardened and her fists clenched.

"Princess, sit. And I will tell you everything." I stood there. Contemplating either I should speak or just leave.

"These people, you speak of," I paused. Wondering the best way to say what is on my mind. "I do not know them. I have never seen them. However, I know Raphael. I have seen him and I know he would never hurt me."

"So you would choose the beast over your people princess? You are not curious at all to know about your true origin? Why instead of dying that night when your sisters stabbed you and you Survived?" I turned to look at her.

"How did you know about that?" Gwen asked in a small voice. Anastasia's expression just kept getting dark and I knew in that moment that she was regretting why we came here.

"Princess, give us a chance." Us?

"What do you mean by us? Are there still others?"

As much as I have been trying to deny myself or not think about my lineage, if the people of Mesodomica are still alive, it changes a lot of things.

"Am I not here princess?" Ahh... I am doomed.
