Chapter Sixty four
**CYRUS**
We are in a staring contest neither of us willing to back down, the air tense from what could happen until the idiot interrupts in a soft voice
“I want to go home now” she says, I don’t know who she is talking to but I think she finally caught the gist that there is trouble here
“So what is it going to be?” Alex Lenkov asks me with a mocking smile spreading himself on his seat
I assess the situation I am in right now. I am not the least bit afraid of Alex Lenkov or his flunkies in this room, I am the one at a disadvantage but then I also have to think of what breaking Alex’s nose would mean to the family. I know Alex is looking for a fight and wouldn’t mind breaking the peaceful talks we have been having, and I can see my father’s angry face when he finds out I brought the Italian princess of Italy into the night club and let her run into Alex Lenkov’s arm. Worse would losing control by focusing on proving a point instead of maintaining the peace between the two of us. Fuck I hate playing politics
“Fine.” I say and head out leaving Valentina there who pleads to me with her eyes to do what? I haven’t a clue. Let her think about what she has done for a few minutes first.
Telling Bella what I wanted her to do was actually worse than what I pictured in my head. I knew she was afraid and that she did not want to do it but I also knew that she cared for the bitch and would eventually do it. After Bella has all the facts she finally agrees to go with me and Alex to see Alex Lenkov.
“I nearly thought you had chickened out on me Cinnati” Alex Lenkov says with a huge grin as soon as we get inside the room
“Hallo there old pal” Alex says to Alex Lenkov with a mocking smile
“Ah, Alex. I didn’t know you were in town I would have prepared something special for you” Alex Lenkov says and the two Alex however hate each other are also crazy as they smile at each other like jokers.
“I get that you two have too much sexual frustration between you, but I want to get my wife out of this room as soon as I can” I say
“Fuck you Cyrus” Alex shouts and takes a sit getting himself a drink like the idiot he is, I sigh and let him be, back in the room Alex Lenkov is already staring at my wife like none of us exist anymore and I don’t like it one tiny bit.
“Here is my wife Bella. Now that you have seen her, we are going to leave with Valentina”
“Not so quickly, she needs to tell me the truth with her own words first. It has to come from her”
“My wife does not wish to speak to you”
“Where I come from the women speak for themselves, why don’t you let the pretty bird free to say what she pleases”
“Where I come from which also happens to be where Bella comes from, we were raised in the same household really. Now we…..” but then Valentina interrupts with a friendly smile, knowing our discussion wasn’t heading anywhere
“It’s okay Cyrus. What do you wish to know?” she says politely while I grit my teeth
“How have you been angel?” Alex asks her instead, I give him the stink eye but remain calm
“I am well and my husband takes very good care of me. Thank you for asking”
“Do you know this girl?”
“She is my cousin Valentina from Italy and we came with her here but we lost her. I would really like to take her back home now”
“So you two are related? How?”
“Valentina is my aunt’s daughter. Her mother is my mother’s sister”
“I knew I liked something about her when I saw her at the bar. She reminded me something about you, you took the looks from your mother’s side didn’t you?” Alex asks her and Bella looks at me before she faces Alex Lenkov again,, as she opens her mouth to answer his ass. This night could go south in so many different ways. The asshole is really trying all my patience tonight
“Okay we get it you have a hard on for my sister in law but she is in love and married to my best bud here. So why don’t we call it a night and not have to let the ladies hear broken bones or see blood tonight huh?” Alex interrupts saying as he stand up and takes Valentina’s hand and heading out
One of Alex Lenkov’s guys tries to stop him but Alex Lenkov’s shakes his head and he doesn’t interrupt. I let Bella start walking in front of me first and I follow behind her
“See you soon my angel” Alex Lenkov says behind us before we are out the door. I nearly turn back around but then a soft hand touches mine. She smiles at me and I smile back.
In the car there is an argument between Valentina and Bella who insists on taking Valentina back at her parent’s house and getting rid of her because of the stunt Valentina pulled. This gives me a headache since let me tell you, Italian women can scream like hell. Alex seems to be enjoying the show though.
“It’s too late in the night right now, just let her spend the night and take her home in the morning. Where would you even tell your parents you took her from right now with the way she looks?”
“Or you can let her spend the night at my hotel; I promise to bring her home safe and sound in the morning” Alex points out
“Shut up” Bella and I shout at the same time
