Chapter Ninety six

I wake up so late the following morning because I was late reading the materials my mother in law sent me last night. I find Margret making lunch in the kitchen and greet her like always.
“Late night?” She asks me and I get a little embarrassed as if she knows what I had been up to.
“Yeah something like that.”
“I hope you were not moping around all night because you’re not pregnant. I wanted to come in yesterday during the doctors visit but Cyrus told me you wanted to be alone for it. That boy is a little dictator.”
“It was fine really, don’t worry about it. I never thought I was pregnant to begin with and we weren’t even trying. Cyrus thinks we are too young to have kids now and I think he is right, I am only eighteen, and there is still time later for it. I still want to find my passion, something that motivates me.” I find myself saying and even though it’s true, I think I told her more than she expected, almost like I was defending myself.
“Of course. I won’t dare make a remark about pregnancy again, I am so sorry I even started it in the first place. It’s just that you looked so pale and lost weight, sleeping all the time…. Is everything okay though?”
“Everything is fine Margret I just had a late night but I would love a cup of coffee to start the day.”
“Of course my princess.” She answers and gets me my coffee which I decide to have outside.
Cyrus comes back the next day while I am having breakfast on the patio outside. I know he has been home the last two days and I don’t ask him about it. He goes straight upstairs and comes back with some shorts and naked all the way up with damp hair, so I know he was in the shower. I had already finished my breakfast so I remove the dishes from the table. He doesn’t look at me as I get in the kitchen,
“Hi.” I say
“Hey.” He answers and continues serving his breakfast.
Baby steps. I leave him in the bedroom because I don’t think there is more for me to even talk about and go to my room and keeping perusing my books. When I get down to dinner there are no signs of Cyrus and I never expected him to stay here anyway, so I have my dinner and go back to my room.
The next morning when I get down for breakfast Cyrus is already there with Margret. I smile at him as I take a sit next to me and to my surprise he smiles back. He finishes his drink and leaves us
“Cyrus seems to be in a good mood today.” Margret says as she sets my plate in front of me with a smile.
“Ooh. That’s great.” I answer back and we all go back to our chores.
When I am all alone later and reading my books I decide I should make my mark today. If Cyrus comes back with the same mood he left with, it could be my first step to taking control. I can’t wait for him to come to me; I have to seek him out for this.
Unfortunately that night lady flow decides to make an appearance so I have to put my plans on hold. The next day Cyrus pays me a visit and when I tell him about our guest he scowls at me and leaves. He has been scowling at me like I killed his cat for two days now. I am not on my period today and I feel Cyrus watching me from across the breakfast table, he wants to ask me but he can’t, he also can’t come to my room and be denied again. It was the first time I was on my period that he came searching for me for sex. I know he is battling with his pride and I smirk at myself knowing the book was right about one thing. However much Cyrus wants to hurt me, I also have something he wants, something he desires.
After dinner I have a glass of wine before I take a bath and put on my silkiest sexiest gown and cover it with a see through robe. I comb my hair and put on the tiniest make up to make my eyes glow and my lips pop but still have the natural look. I pour another glass and nurse it while I calm my nerves.
I hear Cullen walking upstairs and how his footsteps halt when they reach my door. He stands there for a few minutes before his footsteps move on towards his room. This is my chance. I give him a few minutes to lick his wounds and look myself over in the mirror, and when I am satisfied with what I see I put on my heels and sashay out of my room to Cyrus’s with bravado I don’t feel.
I give his door a little knock before I open it and walk inside. The room is dark except from the light outside and behind me from the hallway so it takes me some time to adjust to the light. He is sitting on the chair by window with his suit still on except for the jacket and his first few buttons are open revealing his chest beneath. He is holding a glass of something, probably whiskey as he spreads his legs and looks me over. He looks like my wet dream and the sight of him like this looking like my wettest dream and that look of hunger and lust in his eyes is the final thing I needed to move me towards him.
He watches me slowly walking towards him not saying a single word or making a single move. When I reach him, I take the glass from him and sip it before I perch myself on his lap and bend to put aside the glass of whatever disgusting thing he was having. I turn back to him and smile at him before I move my lips to meet him on his lap.
I move my tongue on his lips first to moisten them before my lips meet his and I suck his bottom lip into my mouth then the upper one doing it slowly. He doesn’t kiss me back or move but he hasn’t rejected me so I take it further and use my tongue to coax him to open up for me and let me in.
