The Chosen daughter's mate
Woah. Woah. Woooaahh.. This is too much. “Are you telling me, my father could be alive?? What made you think you could hide that kind of information from me? Isn’t he dead?”
Avery kept silent. She didn’t know what to say. “And if you are the only, chosen fertile female right now. Who am I supposed to mate? Does it stop with me?”
Mother answers me: “No, my dear. There are more chosen family-lines. All started with the first chosen ones: Victor and Mary. They’ve got many children, and to keep the bloodline pure - they only had children with each other. Because they were so pure, it didn’t cause genetic problems. But getting power isn’t always good. Some children always wanted more. There was a twin, both girls, and equal to each other. Also both extremely strong. But they wanted both to be Luna of the biggest pack, they got into a fight and decided to split up into two bloodlines: WhiteMoon and BlackMoon. They split the biggest pack and made themself Luna of their own. White Moon Pack and Black Moon Pack. They let the other packs choose between those packs, and if they didn’t choose, they would’ve killed them."
She sighs. "Moon Goddess was very angry. She wanted her chosen ones to live in harmony. She only gave them their powers to use for good. She decided to punish them: White moon only gets female children and Black moon only gets male children. You can imagine what happened: after a few generations, both family’s shrunk to close as none. But she promised, when needed she would flip the births: Black Moon will get a girl and White Moon will get a boy. An opportunity to start all over again. And yeah, you know the rest of the story..”
I don’t know if I can handle more information. This is a lot for one day. “So you are saying, that there is another chosen family out there? Are they run by only Alpha’s? I suppose, with my mate as their daughter? And Moon Goddess is expecting we start a fresh and new chosen bloodline?”
Avery smiles happily: “It’s beautiful right? I knew the baseline of this story, I’ve told you the other week. But I found out about the split and second bloodline and all, when I started reading in the library. I completed this story yesterday. And I’m not sure about the Alpha-rulers. I think it doesn’t matter, but.. maybe we find out some day.”
