I want you!

I’m blinded for a second, when I step out of her portal. But when I’m adjusted to my surroundings, I look into several confused pair of eyes. “What the…” one of them mumbles.

“Adam..?” I hear a soft, known voice. My body immediately reacts to that sound. The scent of vanilla hits my nose and I’m totally in love with it. I can feel my wolf is on guard and ready to shift. I turn around and see her. Her small, innocent body curled up in the corner of that hospital bed. I’m speechless, she’s even more beautiful than I can remember. “Eve…” I stutter.

Meanwhile, the warriors made a guarded circle around us and Joshua says to me: “Hurry up Adam.. We need to leave, now!”

It brings me back to my senses, I grab Eve and hurry back into the portal. Soon, the others follows and Crissie closes the portal behind us. This really took about 10 seconds, but it almost felt an eternity.

And here I am, standing on the square, surrounded by all those people but I’ve only eyes for her. Ace is growling and I’ve troubles keeping control. “MINE!” he growls out loud. I look at her stunning face below mine, and I see she’s a bit afraid.

“I’m so sorry, little one. Ace is my wolf and a very dominant one. He’s powerful, I’ve troubles to control him, a lot of times.” I say to her. She smiles back, a bit relieved.

Than it hits me: the combination of her vanille scent, the sight of her and the warmth of her body drives me insane. I’m starting to pant and every sense in my body is sharpened. Then I notice I’m not the only one reacting, Two of the four warriors are almost drooling over her body and I can see the have troubles keeping their wolves in control too.

Joshua oversees all of this and asks: “What the hell is their problem?”

I answer: “I don’t know, but I feel it too. Damn Eve, I’m seconds away from tearing you apart. Right here, right now. What the hell?”

“Fuck! Adam, let go of Eve - NOW!” Luna Avery yells at me, and like I should because it’s a direct order from my Luna, I let go of her. “Eve, please. Walk over me please. Joshua - take her back to the packhouse. And you two..” she points towards the two warriors who are almost attacking Eve “... Don’t you ever think about laying a hand on the mate of your future Alpha! Get your shit together and step backwards!” The warriors bow their head, their wolves can’t do otherwise because the Luna is giving them an order.

Joshua hurries with Eve to the packhouse. I look at mom and ask: “What the fuck? Why can’t I be with my mate?! What did you do?”

She looks at me and says: “I had to. You noticed she’s in heat, right? I had to protect her, otherwise your wolf had shifted within seconds. It was a matter of time…”

“In heat? What?”

And mom explained, what the heat is all about and why we, the unmated and unmarked wolves are reacting to her.

“But she’s my mate! She needs to be with ME. I need to help her, that’s what the heat is, right?” I ask, confused.

Mother walks over to me and asks: “So you really want to share that precious moment between the two of you with everybody here on the square?”

I let her words sink in, and then I realize she’s right. “No, I’m sorry mom. You’re right. But why was Joshua not responding on her? He’s unmarked, like us.”

“Because one: he’s her brother. He isn’t affected by her, we don’t want that kind of problems, you know? And secondly: he found his fated mate who was standing next to him. That works like a kind of barrier, their bond is protecting them. It doesn't matter he didn’t mark her yet.”

Oh right, I almost forgot he’s her brother. Yeah, I can imagine that would’ve been weird. I nod and look at mom. “Why can I see her? Ace really really wants to go to her. And I’ve to be honest, I need her too. I want to smell her incredibly nice scent, I want to kiss her and hold her. I - I…”

“Yes, I get that Adam. Trust me, I do. But you have to let her rest for now. I think her heat is almost over too. I guess when she wakes up in the morning, she’s her lovely self again. But poor girl, going through the first heat without your mom or family around you is tough. She’s a special lady, Adam. She really is..” Mom shakes her head and starts walking back at the packhouse. “You should take some rest too, son. I don’t know how much rest we’re able to get.”

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“Well, although we had the surprise element, I don’t like the fact they were not trying to hold you back. They just let you. I don’t think it’s over.”

I nod and I agree with her. That’s strange indeed, but for now I’m too excited we made it back home. With Eve. I’ve my mate close to me, and I’m not letting her go anymore. Ever.

I’ve only slept for three hours or so. I kept smelling her scent. It’s so strong, I could smell it throughout the building. After a few hours, it fades away a bit and Ace was relaxing a bit. I look at the clock and I see it’s 6 AM. Too early to stop by at Eve’s. I try to mindlink her, but she’s still asleep.

I decide to stretch my legs and give Ace some running time. So I take off my boxershort and quickly shapeshift.

*Go, Ace. Have some fun. I want to be back in two..*
I mindlink my wolf. He didn’t need more stimulus and he immediately starts running; down the stairs, through the front door, into the woods. I even don’t care and let him be.

After two hours, Ace was done running and thanking me through a mindlink. I know he’s thankful, but it was the least I could do after tonight. I run butnaked through the house, ‘cause Ace already shifted outside the building, and I hurry to my bedroom.

The moment I open the door, I know. She's here. I inhale the vanilla scent I’m smelling and while I’m standing in the shadows of my little hallway I warn her: “Eve, I know you’re here. But I’m naked, I - I came back of a run with Ace and I really want to take a shower first. Get some clothes and and…”

I’m not sure what I want or need to say right now. I’m anxious waiting of her respond.

“It’s OK, Adam. I’ll wait. Go and take your shower.” Eve answers with a soft voice.

I rushes to the shower and shower as cold as possible. My body is on fire, it directly responded to Eve’s appearance. After a few minutes I calmed myself down and the moment I’m ready to leave the shower, I feel a hand on mine. “We’re not ready to leave this shower, my dear. But I would appreciate a more acceptable temperature.” It’s Eve’s voice. And off course, I’m not relaxed anymore. Without moving an inch, I say to her: “Eve, are you sure you want to do this? I can’t contain myself the moment I see you; there’s no way back then.”

I can almost hear her smile. “I want this, Adam. I want this so bad.”

Those words are enough. I turn around and look into her eyes. Without warning, I attack her lips and scoop her tiny body into the air. She wraps her legs around my waist and I know there’s no way we’re leaving this bedroom for the next few hours.
