Guinea pig
I’m trying to digest all this information. This is major! I look at Eve’s face and I can see she’s doing the same. “Eve! If this is true, I’m going to be jealous, you know..” and I wink at her. Every werewolf wants to be good at mindlinking. It gives you some freedom and power. Think of it: why do you think only born Alpha’s or Alpha and Luna’s of packs can freely connect with other Alpha’s? With every wolf of their pack? It’s huge when you can do that..
“But, why? How? I have so many questions..” Eve mumbles.
“I don’t know. And it’s weird that you still have those big headaches, in fact: it looks like it’s only getting worse…” I say to her.
Eve nods. “Indeed, that part I don’t understand either. OK, so maybe this mindlinking thing has something to do with my powers, right? I’ve no troubles to mindlink when I’m far away, werewolves of other packs or even blockades. Oh! And I’ve mindlinked your mother too, by myself. She didn’t set up the link, that’s not normal too, right? Anyhow: I want to find out my boundaries..”
“Really? My mom? OK, sure. What do you have in mind?” I ask.
“Hmmmm.. I’m not totally sure. What would be shocking?” Eve’s lost in mind, thinking very hard. “Oooh! I have it! Can I mindlink humans? Other creatures? Let’s test it. Crissie is human, right?”
“Oh boy, you really think you can do that? You’re going to scare the shit out of her, if you can pull it off.”
But I don’t think she cares. Eve's eyes already darkened a few tones, close to black.

-Eve POV-
I feel I can do this! I know her, I know Crissie. So it shouldn’t be a problem, right? I focus and try to set up a link.
*Hey Crissie, you’re my guinea pig. How’s life?*
I wait for an answer, when I realize she can’t. She’s human, she’s not able to answer my link, also if it means she has heard me.
I look at Adam and say: “Well, I’ve tried to mindlink her. Let’s wait. If I’m right, it will only take around ten seconds now..”
Adam looks confused: “What do you mean, it will only ta…”
But before he could finish his sentence, we see a portal showing up and a super angry Crissie steps out of it. “... How dare you! I’ve shit my pants, like - for real! Would you never, EVER, do that again! If you do so, I’ll light you on fire..”
“Wow, easy. It was just an experiment..” I say to her. Then I turn my head to Adam and say enthusiastically: “It worked! Adam, it worked! I can mindlink humans! What else do we got…?”
Crissie is standing there, completely ignored. “Oh right, I was just the guinea pig. I don’t deserve an explanation. But seriously, how are you doing this all day? I’m having a big ass headache right now!” Crissie caresses her temples.
I chuckle. I like this girl, she’s also cheeky and spicy. And if everything is going to work out, she will be my sister one day. I look forward to it.
“I’m sorry, Crissie. You were the only person I could think of when I tried to figure it all out. You know, I’m a chosen one too. And they have special powers - I’m trying to find out mine.” and I explain to her what I’ve discovered so far. Well, what Adam has discovered.
“Hmmm.. That’s really interesting! Although I’m not completely sure what you can do with it, to be honest. There was no way I could’ve responded to you. I mean: I’m human. Humans can’t do that. So, there’s no real conversation there. You know what I mean?”
I hear Crissie out, and I must say: she has a point. I’m not sure how I could use this kind of power. “But it’s still, awesome, isn’t it?” I ask with a smile on my face.
“Yeah, maybe for you. But like I said: my head feels really bad right now. You sounded like a siren in my head. Clearly, I could hear it was you. But besides that, it was just an irritating sound.” Crissie makes a sour face.
“I think it’s because you're human. I’m very sorry to hear. For us, it doesn’t sound the same. I think our genes and experiences over the years makes it easy to control. For us, it just sounds like talking to each other. But then in our head.” I respond. I look at Adam and he nods his head of confirmation.
“Come, let me fix that for you.” Adam says, and he walks up to Crissie. He puts his hands on her ears and his eyes lit up. It’s almost like the veins in his arms turn green, and are connected to her head. He lets go in ten seconds. “Better?”
“Wow, that’s nice!” Crissie says, surprised. “In fact: I feel like I’ve slept for over 12 hours. Thanks!”
“Well, I’m glad to. I gave you a bit of my energy, but nothing a good sandwich can’t fix..” Adam says with a smile on his face.
I sigh. Adam and food, he’s even worse than me. “Alright, now we fixed this, I want you to think with me. What can I test next?” I ask them.
“Oh, no! I’m not gonna be part of messing with the next guinea pig. I’m out!” Crissie says, and before I can respond, she’s gone.
“Wow, she’s really getting better at that.” I say, surprised. “Well, then it’s up to you and me..” I say to Adam.
“Maybe it’s enough, for today. We have lots to think about.” Adam says. “Besides, I’d like to have some fun-time with you. I’ve missed you.”
“Aaaawww.. First I wanted to slap you, but you fixed that by saying the last few words. Alright, cowboy. What did you have in mind?” I ask him.
He walks over to me and lifts me in the air. I put my hands around his neck. Our faces are close to each other. I can smell his incredibly lovely anise scent and I can’t suppress the tendency of sniffing the air in his neck. Oh Moon Goddess’, I love this guy. Adam chuckles, “You smell something you like, miss Evans?” But he doesn’t want me to answer, he attacks my lips and soon I’m lost in this love-dance.
The moment I let go of his lips for some air, I say: “.. So this is what you had in mind when you said ‘some fun-time’?”
“Yeah, it’s not good?”
“It’s perfect…”
