It's coming
*“Adam! Don’t do this - I’ll be fine!”*
*My heart rate goes up, my vision is blurred. “Mom! Hold on! I’m coming!” I’m running towards her sound. Leaves are hitting my face while I run through the forest.*
*“NOOO! Adam, stay there. Please, it’s not safe.”*
*I see her. I’m staring at mom. She’s covered in mud and she’s bleeding in several places. But it’s not only her, he is standing next to her. He’s holding her. He looks confused, entangled.*
*“Mom?”*
*“It’s OK, sweety. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. But it’s fine. Aura says this is the way.”*
*“NO! Mom, please…” I’m whimpering.*
*Mom’s looking at him, her eyes full with love. He looks back and smiles. “I’ve missed you so much, my queen. Let’s go, together!”*
*I’m starting to yell! “MOM! Don’t let him do this, please.. I need you! Use your power! You can let him do whatever you want him to do. Stay with me, please…” I’m trying to walk towards her.*
*“Adam! S T O P!” Her Luna voice. “I don’t want to. I need him, I feel finally complete again. Forgive me, my son. I will always love you! Don’t forget: we, werewolves, never leave earth. We are the watchers. Just think of me, and you will feel me.” Mom starts to cry. “You’re my moon and my stars, you’ve enlightened every day from the first moment I saw you. Thanks, my son. Don’t forget me!”*
*Tears are flowing, my cheeks are completely wet. And before I can say goodbye, they put their foreheads together and they disappear in the void behind them.*

I’m sitting in my bed. I look around me, confused. I feel how my heart rate is insanely high, sweat is all over my body. I feel exhausted, I’m mourning. What just happened?
“It was just a nightmare. A nightmare…” I try to comfort myself.
*“No it wasn’t.”*
Holy shit. Who was that? “Hellooo?” I ask. I walk around my room, my senses sharpen. But I don’t feel, see or smell anything different. Something’s not quite right. I’ve heard that voice before. My heart is beating in my throat.
*“It’s OK. I’ve worked on this for weeks, months almost. I’m sorry you haven’t heard from me in the last period. But this is important, Adam.”*
Darn it. This feels so… so familiar. I know this voice. My hands are holding my head. The voice isn’t coming from my head, but isn’t coming from my room either. It’s if the sound is everywhere.
“But what was it? A dream?” I ask the voice.
*“No, Adam. The future.”*
My heart skipped a beat. No, this can’t be.
“Quinn?”

-Avery POV-
Weeks has gone by since Crissie disappeared. Adam and Joshua told me everything. I’m worried. Joshua told me that Crissie had troubles containing her flames. That’s a bad sign. I sigh and my thumbs massage my temples. I’ve tried to explain to her that she needs to find her true self in time, otherwise the dark magic will consume her soul. Nobody knows how much time each mage has, but the fact that her powers are increasing is not a good sign. Well, it is when she can control it. But she can’t, right now. And where is she, now? We have no clue.
I stand up and walk away from my desk. I’ve been working a lot, lately. That’s not my style. I like to walk around the village and look at how everyone is doing. But I feel that Aura is getting stressed, she’s not her easy self. That’s a bad sign too. I’m not sure how much time we have left, but the war is close.
“Avery?” Bonnie's voice gets me out of my thoughts. “Hmmm?” I answer while I turn around to face her.
“I’ve tried to locate Crissie’s color, but I failed. Sometimes I think that I see her, but because she’s not fully developed, yet, I can’t see her completely. I’m sorry..” Bonnie says.
I nod. “It’s OK, I understand. Our powers have their limitations. That’s fine. Is there no other way you can make it happen? You, seeing her?”
“Well, not for now. I’m hoping that she’ll develop soon, then I’ll be able to see her. But if she can’t find her true self…”
I know what she’s referring too. “The Dark Queen, I know. I’m worried too.” I say.
“Yes, and you know I can’t see darkness. I can’t see black. Black is everywhere.”
“Let’s hope that’s not the reason you can’t see her, right now.” I answer.
“And there’s something else..” Bonnie says “.. the patrols have seen some troubling signs lately. Well, from the last 12 hours. The wood is changing.”
“What do you mean, changing?” I ask, confused.
Bonnie looks worried, and she’s chewing her hair. “We’re not sure, but it seems like the woods around the borders are developing or something. They just, change.. Trees are not on the same spot anymore, the ground is rising - it’s strange.”
I sigh. This matches my feeling. “Bonnie, I think it’s starting. War is coming.”

-Unknown POV-
What is this? What is this feeling? I’m shaking my head, trying to get rid of it. I feel... different. Her face, I recognized her. Who is she?
*Don’t!*
I growl, I still can. My head is fighting. But I need to listen to Boss. *Boss, I’m sorry.* I say.
The weird sounds in my head disappear and my head is turning clear again. But I’m not feeling the same. Something has changed, and I’ve a weird feeling it’s good. A good change.
*Come home*
My feet automatically start to walk. I like Boss. He’s making everything clear. He makes everything simple. I just have to listen, I don’t need to think. It’s like I don’t exist, and that feels easy and free. But she gave me that feeling, it was warm and tingling. And it’s still there, like a little fire who’s ready to lit.
