Chapter 291 Listen to Me? Then I Want Them All
His statement was way too explicit. Even though I was pretty hammered, I still turned red and leaned on his shoulder, mumbling, "I'll listen to you."
"Listen to me?" Jerry asked, nibbling on my earlobe, his voice all husky. "Then I want them all."
Before I knew it, he had me on the couch, my breath getting all ragged, and the room was buzzing with this crazy, intense energy.
Jerry's soft kisses trailed down slowly, and soon enough, my voice turned into a soft whisper. "Jerry."
When he lifted his head, his brown eyes were burning with desire, not letting me back off, his breath hot against my ear. "Hope, Hope."
The pain brought a moment of clarity, but this overwhelming pleasure quickly drowned it out.
Right then, we were the closest people to each other.
He carried me into the bathroom, my thoughts all over the place, and even there, I was still pinned against the wall.
My body was totally spent. "No more, Jerry. I can't take it anymore."
Jerry laughed, "Alright, then let's do it on the bed."
Whoever said guys start to slow down after thirty was full of it.
The next day, when I woke up, my whole body was sore.
But Jerry next to me looked all glowing. He wrapped me in his arms, looking ready for some morning action. I scrambled out of bed, too embarrassed to care, glaring at him. "What do you want now?"
Jerry chuckled, the desire in his eyes clear as day, and replied, "You."
I didn't catch on right away and instinctively responded, only to meet his teasing and playful gaze.
I rushed into the bathroom to freshen up, while Jerry, wearing just a pair of loose shorts, leaned casually against the door, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Feeling a bit shy under his gaze, I glanced at him through the mirror and said awkwardly, "What are you staring at?"
He smiled. "You."
I glared at him fiercely, washed my face in frustration, and made room for him to freshen up.
After slapping on my skincare products, I was about to head to the living room to grab some water when I heard noises coming from the kitchen.
I was startled. I was so wiped out last night that I just wanted to sleep in and forgot that Ellen would come to cook and clean.
The mess on the couch hadn't been cleaned up.
I glanced toward the couch, praying that Ellen hadn't gone to the living room yet.
But I saw that the messy blanket on the couch had disappeared, and the couch and table were spotless, with no trace of last night's activities.
I instinctively wanted to turn back to the bedroom when I heard Ellen's cheerful voice. "Hope, did you sleep well? Come have breakfast; I just reheated it."
I stiffened, forced myself to stay calm, adjusted my collar to cover the hickeys on my neck, and saw Ellen's smile deepen. "Where's Jerry? He's awake too, right?"
Ellen had figured everything out.
Suppressing my embarrassment, I nodded and tried to speak naturally, "Yeah, he's awake. He'll come for breakfast after freshening up."
"Alright, alright." Ellen was in a particularly good mood, happily setting the sumptuous breakfast on the table. Seeing me about to get coke from the fridge, she quickly handed me a glass of warm milk. "Don't drink icy coke in the morning. It's bad for your stomach. Drink this."
"Thanks, Ellen." I was taken aback, feeling that Ellen was acting a bit unusual. How to put it? It was like she used to take care of me as Jerry's friend, but now she was looking after me as Jerry's future wife, very concerned.
Ellen pulled me to the table and urged me to eat breakfast, "You've been busy lately, haven't you? You've lost weight! Eat more, I made this pizza fresh this morning; it's delicious."
"That's awesome, Jerry's been flying solo for so long, he finally got what he wanted." Ellen started tearing up, "Mrs. Hammer's been on his case forever, hoping he'd settle down. Now Jerry's finally found his happiness!"
"Ellen," Jerry walked out in a shirt, looking a bit helpless, "Why are you crying? You're making me look pathetic."
"I'm just happy for you!" Ellen shot him a look, quickly pouring him a glass of water. "Mrs. Grace Hammer and Mrs. Molly Hammer are gonna be over the moon when they hear..."
Jerry cut in, "Don't tell them yet."
"You're not gonna tell the family?" Ellen paused, eyes wide. "Hope's a great girl; don't be a player like Jared!"
Jerry put down the glass. "What are you thinking? It's just not the right time yet. You know how things are with the Hammer family right now."
Ellen sighed in relief, "That's true. I always said, you were raised by Mr. Hammer, you can't act like the Blake family."
After a few more reminders, Ellen quickly cleaned up the kitchen and got ready to leave.
Before heading out, she pulled me to the entrance, looking a bit embarrassed. "Forgive me if it seems like I'm butting in. Even though I'm part of the Hammer family, I gotta remind you. If you didn't use contraception last night, make sure to take the morning-after pill."
She added, "The safe period isn't reliable. If you do get pregnant, Mr. Hammer and the family would be happy, but the Hammer family is big and gossipy, it's better to avoid any talk."
I was a bit stunned, feeling both embarrassed and touched, and nodded. "Alright, thank you."
Last night was so sudden, we really didn't think about contraception.
After breakfast, with the chip issue still unresolved, Jerry headed straight to the Hammer Group after changing his clothes.
Before leaving, he didn't forget to bring a suitcase to my place. "Sweetie, keep my suitcase for me."
"Okay." I could already picture how shamelessly he was going to suggest moving into my house. Surprisingly, I was not bothered by the idea of having an extra person at home; in fact, I was quite pleased.
Later, I had plans to visit the branch office with Elissa and buy some contraceptive pills.
Unexpectedly, as soon as I reached the underground parking lot, I got a call from the nursing home.
"Ms. Royston, did you take Mrs. Harris?"
"No." My heart tightened. "Is Claire missing?"
"Yes, we've already contacted the Harris family, and they haven't taken her either."
The nurse said, "But when we did rounds this morning, Mrs. Harris was still in her room. It was only when Mr. Quill and the others came that we realized Mrs. Harris was gone."
I asked, "Have you searched the entire nursing home?"
"We've searched everywhere!" The nurse said urgently, "Please come over quickly, to decide whether to call the police or what to do."
"I'll be right there." After hanging up, I quickly got in the car and sped toward the nursing home. My mind was in a panic, feeling like someone had done this on purpose.
A few years back, when Claire still had toxins in her system, she had wandered off because of nerve damage. But now, Grant had made it clear that Claire was on the mend and almost ready to go home.
When I arrived at the nursing home, I had just gotten out of the car when I saw the owner of the car next to me also getting out and walking towards me. "Hope, are you okay?"
I was surprised. "Cecil, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here in Maple Valley on business." Cecil smiled warmly, looking at me with concern. "I saw your car on the road, you were driving really fast, and I was worried something might have happened to you, so I followed you. Is everything alright?"
