Chapter 107 Are You Pregnant?

Anna stopped and spun around.

Austin took a few steps forward, standing right in front of her.

"Mr. Stewart, what's up?" Anna asked.

Austin studied her face for a moment before asking, "Did you save my number?"

Anna's lips twitched, but she didn't say anything.

She couldn't find that business card.

Those days were a blur, and she was swamped from morning till night.

She vaguely remembered putting the card in her pocket, but when she looked for it the next day, it was gone. Probably lost somewhere.

Austin could read her answer just by looking at her face.

He sighed quietly, reached out his hand, and said, "Give me your phone."

Upon hearing Austin's words, Anna instinctively handed over her phone. By the time she realized it, the phone was already in Austin's hands.

The tall and sturdy Austin lowered his head slightly to look at the phone screen. His long fingers tapped a few times and quickly saved the number.

He handed Anna the phone and said, "I've set this number as an emergency contact. Remember, no matter when or what danger you encounter, make sure to call me immediately."

Originally, Austin wasn't so insistent about Anna saving his number.

But after what happened with Tina last night, he couldn't stop worrying.

Anna was his only cousin, and he felt more at ease keeping her under his watch.

Anna took the phone and was about to ask why he was treating her so differently, but before she could speak, a strong wave of nausea hit her.

Anna's brows furrowed, and she instinctively walked quickly to the nearby restroom.

Watching her hurried figure, Austin frowned slightly. Two seconds later, he followed her.

At the restroom door, watching Anna wash her hands at the sink, he asked uncertainly, "Are you pregnant?"

Anna's hand-washing paused, then she nodded.

Austin's eyes darkened, and a cold crease formed between his brows.

When Tina woke up again, it was already past eleven in the morning.

Austin was sitting on the sofa next to the hospital bed, looking at messages on his phone.

Hearing movement, he put down his phone and walked over.

He handed Tina a glass of warm water that he had prepared in advance and asked, "How are you feeling now? Any better?"

Tina nodded, propped herself up, and took a few sips of water.

After she finished drinking, Austin put the cup back on the table.

As he turned around, Tina suddenly grabbed his sleeve.

She didn't use much force, but Austin almost immediately stopped and turned to look at her.

Meeting his cold gaze, Tina pursed her lips and asked with a slight smile, "Have you been here the whole time?"

Austin responded with a "hmm."

He didn't pull away from her hand, acting like he didn't even notice she was still holding his sleeve.

He just asked her calmly, "Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"

Before Tina could answer, there were two knocks at the door, and then it opened.

Tina looked up and saw a nurse and Anna.

The nurse removed the IV while Anna walked over to check Tina's temperature.

Tina noticed that when Anna came in, Austin's gaze followed her.

But he didn't pull away from Tina's hand, even in front of Anna.

It was clear he didn't have romantic feelings for Anna.

Realizing this, Tina felt much better.

"The fever's gone. We'll keep an eye on you for the afternoon, and if everything's good, you can go home tonight," Anna said.

Tina let go of Austin's sleeve and smiled at Anna, "Thanks, Dr. Howard."

Anna advised before leaving, "Stick to light foods for the next few days and avoid anything greasy."

In the afternoon, Tina stayed in bed for another half day. In the evening, Austin took care of the discharge papers.

After leaving Radiant Life Hospital, Austin glanced at the sickly Tina in the passenger seat and, after a moment of silence, decided to take her back to his place.

As the car drove into the familiar neighborhood, Tina raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile, "Austin, have you changed your mind and decided to let me stay another night?"

Austin kept his eyes on the road and replied calmly, "I'll find you a safer neighborhood. Once you're better, you can move."

Tina's eyes flickered, and she didn't say anything more.

But she thought to herself, 'This illness came at just the right time, giving me the perfect opportunity to pursue Austin.'

At Regal Retreat, at 7:30 PM, when Charles finished cleaning up the kitchen and came in, Anna was sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window, petting a cat in her lap.

Charles walked over, lazily glancing at the cat that he found extremely annoying.

The cat ignored him. As Charles approached, it lazily flicked its tail without even looking at him.

It stretched its four chubby paws, its plump belly resting on Anna's lap, enjoying her gentle strokes.

Charles then grabbed the cat by the scruff and lifted it.

Suddenly losing its footing, the cat instinctively flailed its legs in the air, and meowed loudly.

Charles glared at it, then tossed it towards the door!

As he threw it, he said, "You're so noisy, and you shed fur everywhere. From now on, you're not allowed on the second floor."

When Charles came in, he had deliberately left the door slightly open.

The cat, thrown to the ground and feeling rejected, shook its fur vigorously and slipped out through the door crack.
