Chapter 109 M-Type Liquor
Trevor nodded, "What about Anna..."
Neil replied, "Charles is all over his new wife. Although there's an eager Michael, Anna herself is super cautious. Getting close to her is no walk in the park."
Trevor: "So we..."
Neil glanced at him, "Right now, the most important thing is to get back to Brightfall."
At this critical moment, with their current strength, going up against the Percy wasn't a smart move.
Meanwhile, Thalia waited two days before she secretly bought the latest M-type liquor on the market.
Even though it was called 'liquor,' it did way more than just got people drunk.
Basically, it could turn even the most reserved person into a 'slut' in seconds.
Unlike regular liquor, this stuff didn't even need to be ingested to work.
M-type liquor was super volatile; people needed to spray it on their hands or clothes beforehand.
Anyone who came into contact with it, no matter how strong-willed, would pass out within two to three minutes.
Soon after, all their lustful tendencies would be fully aroused, making them a thousand times more desperate and wanton than any prostitute, shamelessly throwing themselves at any man they see.
Thalia held the two bottles of M-type liquor in her hand, a vicious glint in her eyes.
After getting the M-type liquor, Thalia would go to the Radiant Life Hospital parking lot every day to stake out.
But for several days in a row, she couldn't find an opportunity to act.
This was because Charles personally picked up and dropped off Anna every day, escorting her to the third floor of the emergency department and picking her up from room 308 in the evening.
Watching the two of them always together, Thalia was contemplating whether to change her plan when, finally, a week later, she got her chance.
That day was a big signing day between Apex Holdings Group and a foreign company. Charles was supposed to fly abroad to sign the contract in person.
However, considering Anna was pregnant, Charles didn't want her to stay alone at night, so he changed the meeting and signed it online.
Due to the time difference between domestic and foreign locations, the online meeting started at 3 PM and wouldn't end until at least 6 PM.
After finishing work at 5:30 PM, Anna packed her things and walked to the parking lot entrance, where she saw Thalia leaning against a car door.
Anna's steps faltered slightly, but then she kept walking like she hadn't even seen Thalia.
Seeing Anna ignore her, Thalia's grip tightened.
Her palm was a bit sweaty from spraying too much M-type liquor.
"Anna," she called out and took a few steps forward.
Anna stopped but didn't turn around.
Thalia walked over, saying, "Anna, Michael and I are getting married soon. Even though Michael was someone you liked, you're now married to Mr. Percy. I assume you'll give us your blessings, right?"
Anna's eyes filled with sarcasm.
She turned around, her gaze cold and indifferent. "You said it's 'liked.' Since it's in the past, why do you need to come and flaunt it in front of me?"
With that, she turned to leave.
Thalia glanced at her palm out of the corner of her eye.
Suddenly, she stepped forward quickly and grabbed Anna's wrist.
She used so much force that Anna staggered.
Anna steadied herself, frowning tightly as she tried to shake Thalia off.
But Thalia only tightened her grip.
To divert Anna's attention and get more M-type liquor on her, Thalia dragged out the conversation. "You and Mr. Percy got married in such a hurry that I didn't have time to prepare a gift for you. How about I prepare your wedding gift along with mine this time?"
Anna forcefully shook off her hand.
But because Thalia had used so much force, several red marks appeared on Anna's wrist.
Seeing the finger marks on her wrist, Anna frowned even more. "Thalia, I've told you before, if you want Michael, take him. Whatever happens between you two has nothing to do with me."
Anna took a wet wipe from her bag and carefully wiped the wrist Thalia had grabbed as if it had been contaminated.
"Of course, if you really want a wedding gift, I can reluctantly prepare one for you." With that, Anna turned around.
But when Thalia saw her wiping her wrist, her heart clenched tightly, afraid that the liquor's scent would be wiped away, and she would miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Fortunately, the M-type liquor she had bought at a high price was extremely potent. Even though it had only been on Anna's wrist for a moment, it quickly took effect.
Anna had only taken two steps when a strong sense of dizziness and weakness swept over her.
She immediately realized something was wrong.
Instinctively, she reached for the phone in her purse.
But before she could lift her hand, the dizziness and weakness intensified, and she lost consciousness.
