Chapter 94 He Looked at Her with Eyes Full of Resentment
The president's office went dead silent.
After a bit, Michael pulled up the photo Thalia had sent to Charles and sneered, "Fiancée? Thalia, did you forget that the engagement party never even happened?"
In other words, Thalia wasn't his fiancée at all!
Thalia's face went pale as she grasped the meaning of his words.
She stared at Michael in disbelief, her fingers trembling. "Michael, our wedding date's been announced. Everyone knows we're getting married next month..."
Michael cut her off coldly. "Half a month ago, everyone in Crystal City knew we were getting engaged."
Marrying Thalia was just a matter of his say-so.
Now Thalia was trying to use the fiancée title to threaten him, which was just plain dumb!
"Michael." Thalia took a shaky step back, her figure swaying.
She stubbornly stared at Michael, tears welling up in her eyes. "You were just using me as a cover?"
Michael didn't even bother to comfort her. "That's right. I told you a long time ago I picked you because you're her cousin. I chose you to make her suffer more."
"I don't believe it." Thalia kept backing up. "I don't believe it, Michael; you were so good to me before."
Michael sneered.
If Thalia had seen how he treated Anna, she'd know what tenderness really meant.
Maybe unable to stay there any longer, Thalia left the Tudor Group in tears.
Back at Aurora Mansion, Thalia ran to her room on the second floor, tears streaming down her face.
Sierra and Samuel, who were chatting on the first floor, saw Thalia rush in and followed her up, worried.
As soon as Sierra entered Thalia's room, she saw her smashing things left and right.
Sierra stepped over the broken pieces on the floor, walked to the bed, and asked Thalia, "What happened now? Who upset you this time, sweetheart?"
Thalia's eyes were red from crying.
She vented her anger by throwing her skincare products onto the floor. "Isn't it Anna again! She's an orphan; why does she get so much favoritism!"
Charles liked her, and so did Michael.
Why did an orphan get so much love from so many men?
Sierra was about to speak, but she was startled by a sudden voice from the doorway. "Thalia! Shut up! That's your cousin, who gave you the right to be so rude?"
Samuel had just arrived at the door when he heard Thalia's outrageous words.
Instantly, his anger flared up.
Hearing Samuel's words, Thalia was stunned for a moment.
It took several seconds for her to find her voice again.
She looked at Samuel at the door in shock. "Dad, I'm your daughter; why are you always biased towards others?"
Samuel was equally furious. "If I had known you had this kind of character, I wouldn't have let you grow up!"
Hearing this, Sierra became anxious. "Samuel! What nonsense are you talking about!"
Samuel ignored Sierra and pointed at Thalia angrily. "I'll say it again, Thalia, Anna is your sister. You better put away those bad thoughts! If I find out you speak ill of her again, you'll be out of this house!"
After saying that, Samuel walked away directly.
Ignoring the silently crying Thalia, Sierra hurriedly walked out.
At the entrance of the first-floor hall, she called out to Samuel angrily, "Samuel, what are you doing? You're losing your temper at your daughter for an outsider?"
"Losing my temper?" Samuel turned around, looking at Sierra with annoyance, "Sierra, look at what Thalia has become under your teaching all these years?"
"I..." Sierra was about to speak, but Samuel continued. "Look at her; what can she do? Can she manage a company or make a mark in medicine? She can't do anything; all she knows is how to insult her cousin and mess around with men!"
Sierra's face contorted in anger at Samuel's words. "Samuel, no matter how useless she is, she's still your child. As a father, you don't care about your child but always defend an outsider. Is this your attitude as a father?"
Samuel was utterly disappointed with Sierra and Thalia.
"Keep spoiling her! With her character, she'll get into big trouble sooner or later. Let's see how you solve it then!" After saying that, he slammed the door and left.
