Chapter 68 Business Trip
Late at night, under the warm light, the distinguished and handsome Charles held a slightly drowsy Anna in his arms.
His well-defined hand gently massaged her waist.
"Anya. I have to go on a business trip for a few days," Anna, exhausted, was about to fall asleep when she suddenly heard him speak.
They had been married for almost a month, and this was the first time Charles had to go on a business trip.
Anna opened her moist eyes and asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "How many days?"
Charles's hand paused slightly, and his brow seemed to furrow. Then he said, "Probably about three or four days."
"When are you leaving?" Anna asked.
"At seven thirty in the morning." He lowered his head and kissed her eyes. "I'll leave with you."
Charles continued, "I've called back the previous caretaker. For the next few days, let the nanny cook for you."
Anna smiled slightly and said, "I can cook for myself."
Charles chuckled. "Yes, you can. But it doesn't mean you have to."
He stroked her hair. Anna felt a bit embarrassed.
She had indeed thought about ordering takeout for a few meals.
"When I'm not home these few days, you should remember to call me every day." Charles twirled a strand of her long hair around his finger.
Meeting her gaze, he raised an eyebrow and said, "Even when I'm holding you every day, I still miss you dearly. I can't imagine how much I'll miss you after several days apart. Anya, call me every day. Hearing your voice will help ease my longing."
It was the last afternoon before Anna's day off.
Aurora called Anna and exclaimed, "Charles is on a business trip?"
Anna leaned back in her chair, pressing her fingertips to her temples. "Yeah, why are you so excited?"
Aurora shook her head repeatedly. "No, no, I'm not."
Despite her words, Aurora, on the other end of the phone, was spinning in her chair, quickly planning how to make up for the past two days' birthday.
A moment later, Aurora asked Anna. "Anya, are you off tomorrow?"
"Yes," Anna said.
Aurora asked again, "Is he coming back tomorrow?"
Anna replied, "No, Charles said he should be back the day after tomorrow or the day after that."
Hearing this, Aurora's eyes instantly lit up. "Anya, I have nothing to do tomorrow either. I'll book a private room, and we'll celebrate your birthday tomorrow."
At eight o'clock the next morning, Aurora's calls came in one after another, urging Anna to get up quickly.
Since Anna married Charles, Aurora had seen less and less of Anna.
They both had jobs, and their days off rarely coincided.
Especially when Anna was free, Charles was always glued to her side.
Forget about going shopping together; Aurora didn't even have the chance to grab a coffee with Anna.
Now that Charles was finally on a business trip, Anya was hers alone again,
Naturally, she couldn't waste this hard-earned time on sleep.
At nine o'clock in the morning, after finishing breakfast, Aurora dragged Anna straight to the pre-booked Serenity Lounge club.
From the outside, the club looked luxurious and grand, and the name was quite elegant.
Anna thought it was a high-end leisure and entertainment place,
But once inside, she realized.
What Aurora had booked was not a private room but a gigolo club!
Anna stood stunned by the vase at the door of the private room as gigolos summoned by Aurora came and went around her.
Aurora sat on the sofa inside, with two handsome men on either side of her, one holding a wine glass for her and the other feeding her fruit.
Five minutes later, twenty gigolos had arrived, as Anna counted.
Seeing that Anna hadn't come over, Aurora spat out the grape seed in her mouth and said to Anna, "Come over quickly. You have no idea, 'Serenity Lounge' is the largest gigolo club in Crystal City!"
Aurora covered her mouth and continued, "The service here is simply amazing! It can be described as 'hauntingly unforgettable.' Come on, Anya. Today, I'll let you experience it properly!"
As Aurora called out to Anna, the twenty gigolos also stared intently at Anna.
Having worked in this industry for so many years, they had seen countless wealthy ladies and socialites.
But among all those women, none were as beautiful as Anna at the door.
Forget about the usual tips. With such a beautiful girl like Anna, if they could sleep with her once, they wouldn't mind paying instead of getting paid.
Those undisguised looks made Anna frown slightly.
She walked over and said to them, "We don't need your services here; please leave."
The gigolos were stunned.
Then, they quickly looked at Aurora.
Aurora wasn't surprised at all.
One of the gigolos glanced at Aurora and then looked back at Anna.
He said, "Our confidentiality is very good here; we won't disclose any of the guests' privacy."
Anna's frown didn't ease. "You got your tip. Now, all of you, leave."
After the gigolos left, Anna sat on the sofa opposite Aurora. "Have you really been frequenting gigolo clubs all these years?"
Aurora rolled her eyes at her. "What are you talking about? I'm very conservative!"
Anna said, "I really didn't see that."
Aurora straightened up and opened a bottle of wine for Anna. "I just wanted to find some fun for you."
Anna's eyes glanced over the wine bottle, and she replied softly, "If Charles finds out about this, we really will be 'taught a lesson.'"
