Chapter 113 Disobedience

Crystal City SWAT Team.

In the chief's office, Austin's brow furrowed as he listened to the sounds of struggle and sobbing coming through the phone. He quickly moved to the computer on his right.

"Patrick!" While inputting the tracking number, he loudly called out to Patrick outside.

Two seconds later, Patrick burst through the door. "Austin, what's wrong?"

"In one minute, all Aegis Sentinel members are to gather at the SWAT entrance!" Austin said.

Hearing this, Patrick's expression instantly turned serious. "Yes, sir!"

In the meantime, Austin had already quickly located Anna's current position.

He picked up a backup phone, found Charles's pre-saved number, and dialed it.

Meanwhile, at Regal Retreat, Charles's face grew increasingly grim as he listened to Henry's continuous reports.

Alice anxiously paced back and forth in the hall, angrily shouting at the bodyguards at the door, "You're all useless! Crystal City isn't that big, and you can't even find one person with so many of you?"

Cedric also mobilized all of the Percy family's personnel, instructing them to conduct a large-scale search for Anna.

Henry, glancing at Charles's face, received constant updates on his phone.

He quickly compiled the information and reported to Charles. "Mr. Percy, according to surveillance from all roads in Crystal City, Michael took Mrs. Percy onto the highway to the neighboring city when they left. Likely, they've already left Crystal City."

Charles stood up with a stern face. "Send a small team to track along the highway. The rest, continue to check all of Michael's apartments and villas in Crystal City."

Twenty minutes ago, Charles had intercepted those thugs and forced them to reveal the M-type liquor on Anna.

In this situation, Michael couldn't have taken her far.

As for the highway, it was likely a diversion tactic by Michael.

However, several of Michael's properties had already been checked, all to no avail.

Seeing Charles stride out, Alice called out, "Anya is still missing. Where are you going?"

Charles didn't stop. "I'm going to Starlight Pavilion again."

Hearing this, Cedric hung up the phone and quickly said, "Starlight Pavilion has already been checked. Michael hasn't been there in days."

Charles ignored him.

He still believed that among Michael's dozens of properties, Starlight Pavilion was the most likely.

Because two months ago, when Anna had just returned to the country, Michael had taken her to Starlight Pavilion.

Moreover, Starlight Pavilion was Michael's private place, and the surrounding area was entirely under his control. If he really wanted to imprison Anna, Starlight Pavilion was undoubtedly the best choice.

Charles exited the hall and was about to get into his car when he received a phone call.

Seeing the unfamiliar number on the screen, Charles's brow furrowed slightly, then he answered.

Austin's voice immediately came through the receiver. "Charles, Anya is at Starlight Pavilion. Get there as fast as you can!"

Hearing this, Charles quickly started the car, and the Koenigsegg shot out like a rocket.

So worried was he that Charles didn't even notice Austin referring to Anna as "Anya."

Meanwhile, Austin was also heading to Starlight Pavilion with his team.

At Starlight Pavilion villa, just as Michael was about to force himself on Anna, a sudden, urgent phone ring interrupted.

He paused, releasing the nearly exhausted Anna beneath him, and caressed her lips, saying, "No matter how much you cry, it won't change the outcome. Endure it tonight and tomorrow morning; I'll take you out of Crystal City."

With that, he let her go and stepped out to answer the phone.

Anna was drenched in cold sweat, the flush on her cheeks gradually turning pale.

After Michael left, the pain she had ignored due to her tension suddenly hit her hard.

Thalia had used some kind of forbidden drug.

Now, Anna felt alternating waves of cold and heat, starting from her lower abdomen, accompanied by excruciating pain spreading through her limbs.

Biting her lip hard, Anna shook her dizzy head, trying to stay conscious.

She struggled to get off the bed, cold sweat soaking the hair on her forehead, and her lips losing their color.

Too weak to stand, she collapsed to the floor, her sweat-drenched hand landing on a shard of glass from a broken water glass.

Immediately, warm blood began to flow.

Looking at the sharp glass embedded in her palm, Anna didn't pull it out. Instead, she gritted her teeth and clenched her fist.

The intense pain in her hand temporarily pushed back the dizziness.

Taking advantage of Michael's absence, Anna leaned against the wall to stand up, pressing her uninjured hand against her increasingly painful abdomen, and carefully made her way to the stairs.

Michael was in the study taking the call.

The study was 60 feet from the stairs, and Anna could hear his low voice.

The main bedroom was only a few dozen feet from the stairs, but it took Anna nearly half a minute to cover the short distance.

As Michael hung up and left the study, he saw her disappearing around the corner of the stairs.

Michael's eyes narrowed, a dangerous and angry glint in them.

Why hadn't he noticed before that Anna was so disobedient?

Michael strode over, his approaching footsteps growing louder.

Anna gasped, clutching her abdomen.

Her vision blurred as she looked at the long staircase.

Just as she was about to step onto the first step, her wrist was suddenly grabbed, causing a sharp pain.

"Anna!" Michael spoke through gritted teeth.

Seeing her frail body swaying, Michael felt his long-suppressed anger surge.

He yanked Anna into his arms.

Cold words spilled from his thin lips. "Anna, if you like being outside, let's do it right here."

Anna's body broke out in goosebumps, her consciousness fading, but one thought grew stronger: she would rather die than be violated by him!

With that resolve, Anna suddenly bit down hard on his wrist.

The pain made Michael instinctively let go.

Standing at the edge of the stairs, Anna lost her balance as Michael's grip released, and she tumbled down the stairs.

Michael instinctively reached out to grab her.

But it was too late.

Anna's frail body rolled down the long staircase like a broken doll, quickly reaching the bottom.

Michael hurried down, trying to lift the unconscious Anna, but as he bent down, he saw a large pool of blood spreading beneath her.
