Worthless!

Isabel's POV

How dare she! That bitch! I fumed as I stormed away from the path where I had just encountered that slithering swine, Lilian.

The nerve of that low-life to talk to me like that. She didn't know her place. She had no idea who she was messing with. Ever since her arrival, the pack had been different.

Everyone had seen me as the future Luna, the rightful mate for Kaiden. But then she appeared, and everything changed. It was as if she was deliberately trying to take everything away from me.

I didn't waste any time anymore. My rage propelled me and I moved to Kaiden's chambers.

I didn't knock on the door; I barged right into his room and could feel my eyes blazing with so much restrained anger.

I barged into the room and saw Kaiden there, he was almost naked, and was probably fresh from a shower.

He turned to me and on seeing me he quickly covered up his body from my eyes as his own eyes narrowed into slits in obvious annoyance.

I could tell that he was getting riled up but I honestly didn't mind. I was too bothered with other things.

"Isabel, what the hell do you think you're doing?!" he snapped at me as I watched him grab a towel to cover himself. "You can't just barge in here like this!" He berated me with blazing eyes.

I didn't care though. I was beyond caring.

"Kaiden, you need to do something about that weak wolf of yours!" I spat out, my voice shook with so much unrestrained fury.

He raised an eyebrow at me, clearly annoyed.

"What are you talking about?" He demanded with furrowed brows and angry eyes.

"Lilian of course!" I shouted as I took instinctive steps towards him. "She insulted me! She had the guts! She acts like she's better than everyone else.

She made a mockery of me in front of the servants and you just stand by and let it happen!" I yelled at him.

Because this was actually his fault. If he hadn't accepted to be mated with that low life weakling, I wouldn't have had to be bothered about being in this situation.

I saw the moment that Kaiden's face darkened. He took a deep breath, he was clearly trying to control his temper, I could see.

"You need to calm down this minute." He told me. "You're overreacting." He said and I scoffed at that.

"Overreacting?" I repeated, incredulous.

"Kaiden, she is disrespecting me, and by extension, you.

If you're going to keep her around, she needs to know her place. You need to warn her." I told him as I folded my hands and watched him.

I waited for him and how he was going to handle this.

I saw the way Kaiden's eyes flashed with anger.

"I don't need you to tell me how to handle my mate, Isabel." he said coldly. "But if Lilian is causing trouble, I will deal with it myself in my own way, you don't need to worry.

Now get out and go call her. I want to hear what she has to say for herself." He commanded as I watched his nostrils flare with anger.

If there was anything I noticed about Kaiden, it was that whenever he was mad or riled up his nostrils would flare and his eyes would almost turn bloodshot. This wasn't any different.

I let out a small satisfied smirk that my words had reached him.

"With pleasure," I said and I quickly turned on my heel and left his chambers to go search for that bitch.

Walking out and I searched for her. She was no longer along the path where we had exchanged words and bickered and so I went in search of her in the pack fields and probably at the stables.

I found Lilian back at the pack house. It gave me deep satisfaction when I saw that she looked sober and reflective, lost in her thoughts as if she was cocooned inside a different world or something.

It didn't bother me at all that she looked desolated. Matter of fact, I loved seeing her look that way. She looked up as I approached her. She had on her face an unreadable expression.

"Kaiden wants to see you," I said to her in a false sweet voice but I knew that even she knew very well that the sweetness in my voice was one of a mock reaction.

"You're in deep trouble." I sang to her, while she watched me.

"Are you deaf or something?" I asked her in a harsh voice. "Did you not hear me or have you also been struck with the ability of being dumb added to your unfortunate case of being a low life?" I asked her and she just stared at me silently.

I let out a sigh.

"Whatever." I said. "I guess I would either have to drag your ass to Kaiden or tell him you have refused his order and are nothing but a disobedient bitch!" I said in an attempt to get her riled up.

"Watch the way you speak to me." She told me, speaking finally. I turned away from her and scoffed in evident disbelief.

"Hey!" I yelled at her. "You have no right to talk back to me." I told her.

"I will do that if you speak so condescendingly to me." She said to me.

I scoffed again as I laughed bitterly.

"Condescendingly?" I asked amidst my laughter. "Is that not who you are? Isn't that your title? Aren't you a low life?" I asked her.

She just stared at me with a frown on her face but that was it, she didn't respond.

She got up and followed me back to Kaiden's chambers quietly.

While we walked to Kaiden's chambers her silence only helped to fuel my anger.

She didn't know what was coming.

I couldn't wait to see her put in her place.
