A new Friend

Lilian's POV

It was a new morning. I stretched my body a little as I stepped out of my bed chambers.

I had already had my bath so early and I wanted to walk around the pack. I have been within the walls of the pack house for quite a long time now and it was beginning to tell on me.

I was putting on a floral blue dress with my hair braided on some sides and left to sprawl behind my back.

I walked quietly along the pack gardens. I had no where in mind to go, I just wanted to take a walk in order to rid my mind of a lot of things. I wanted to breathe the fresh air that emanated from the fresh flowers and the nice fragrances they provided.


While I walked, I was in deep thoughts. I wanted to know why Kaiden wasn't accepting me yet. I mean, it wasn't like I was not easy in the eye or anything. Plus I had tried my hardest to be a good person to him.

I wasn't about to let them know that I was some slave omega of Henrik but I had tried my hardest to be real to them. Real enough for them to understand me. Real enough for them to know that I was a friend and not a foe.


I walked along the pack until I came face to face with a set of butterflies floating along the garden and I felt fascinated watching them.

I wanted to be those butterflies. I wanted to fly freely in the air. I wanted to be free from everyone and anyone.

Especially those who didn't like me or know my worth. I wanted to soar into the air and make everyone happy. I wanted to be happy and free.

I closed my eyes as I imagined myself, flapping into the air. Flying around the gardens , free from restraints whatsoever.

I took in a deep inhale and I breathed out.

"It's such a nice day huh?" I heard someone say from beside me and I opened my eyes to see who it was.

It turned out to be a young damsel, she looked to be around my age. She was beautiful. With blonde curly hair and radiant skin.

She smiled politely at me.

"Hi," she said so cheerfully to me. "Forgive my manners but I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be having a nice time, enjoying the ambience of the garden and I decided to say hello.

Plus I'm a lover of flowers." She said while I had remained silent all the while. I nodded my head and she playfully slapped at her forehead as a way of chiding herself.

"Oh and forgive me again, I forgot to introduce myself." She said to me while I kept on watching her quietly. "My name is Yuria." She said to me, smiling.

I liked her. I liked that she was nice and chatty and has been the only one apart from the alpha and the Luna who had been receptive to me.

I liked that she was free with me even though she did not know me.

It took me a while to realize that she was waiting for a response from me. My eyes widened with that realization and I caught myself.


"Oh," I said. "I'm, my name is Lilian." I told her and she smiled at me.

"Hi Lilian." She said to me and I let out a smile. "It's nice to meet you." She said and I decided to let go of anything that would make me act out as weird and awkward with her. I could tell that she had a good aura.


"Likewise." I said to her, Really, it was nice meeting her.

"So," she said, I could see that she was the bubbly type. "Where are you headed?" She asked me.


"I'm, uh," I said as I tried to form words.

"You don't look like you are from around here. I know practically almost everyone in this pack and your face, your face is quite new." She said as she squinted her eyes in an attempt to try to recognize me.


Oh well it was time to get her off of her mystery.


"Oh I'm not from around here." I informed her and she watched me with fascinated eyes. "I am the intended mate to prince Kaiden." I informed her and watched her lips drop in evident surprise.

"Shut up." She said in an astonished voice. "You're what now? Prince Kaiden's new mate? Whatever for? I thought he was going to get married to that arrogant and sassy girlfriend of his, Isabel?" She asked.

She was asking so many questions and I couldn't keep up but the last one seemed to pique at my interest.

She shared the same dislike I had for Isabel?

"Girlfriend?" I couldn't stop myself from asking. Well because I needed to know.

"Oh don't mind me. '' She said to me.

"They're just friends actually, but she keeps acting like they are both soul mates.

Always wanting to be where he was.

Always wanting to act like they were a couple. Sometimes I wondered if he wasn't bored of her gimmicks." She said and I saw hints of a sneer in her voice.

"Is that so?" I asked. It wasn't just me she was being a bitch to. Turns out she was rude to everyone.


"Of course," Yuria went on. "No one in the pack likes her, not even the Alpha Authur and the Luna Caroline. Only person that likes her and is blinded to her fakery is the prince Kaiden and we had hoped that they wouldn't get mated. Turns out, the prince had other plans as well." She snickered while I watched her.

I guess I had gotten an earful of information.

But as much as I should be pleased with the information, I found myself lost in thoughts.
