New Alpha Coronation
Lilian's POV
The morning sun shone a golden color over the entire packhouse, its warm light filtered through the windows and it filled the halls with its light.
We all knew what day that it was. The day had finally arrived for Kaiden to be formally recognized as the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack.
It was a very important event, not just for our pack but for the surrounding packs as well.
Leaders from near and far had come to witness the ceremony too. I was super excited for Kaiden.
I stood facing the mirror in my chambers, and I adjusted the formal attire I had chosen for the occasion. A deep royal blue flowy dress.
I had chosen the color blue because it was a color that symbolizes our pack.
It was simple yet elegant, and it was made with silver embroidery that caught the light whenever I moved.
I carefully tied my hair back in a braid as I secured it with a silver clasp.
It was a day of solemnity and celebration, and I wanted to honor it with an appropriate appearance.
After I finished getting ready, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find one of the maids, her expression a mix of excitement and nerves.
"My lady," she greeted me with a slight bow. "The ceremony will begin shortly. The guests have started arriving, and the pack leaders are assembling in the great hall."
She informed me and I nodded my head, receiving her message.
"Thank you," I replied with a warm smile. "I'll be down shortly." I told her.
She nodded her head and left, and I took a deep breath as I tried my hardest to steady myself.
Today was about Kaiden, but it was also a day that would define our future together as leaders of the pack.
The responsibilities were going to be many, yet there was still some sort of anticipation in the air.
It was a new beginning, a chance for Kaiden to step fully into the role he was born to take on.
I made my way to the great hall of the pack meeting grounds, where the ceremony would take place.
The moment I entered, I was struck by the sight of so many familiar and unfamiliar faces.
The hall was so big and grand, it was decorated with banners which elegantly bore the Blue Moon pack's insignia.
The air buzzed with murmured conversations from here and from there, everyone was either talking out of respect or of curiosity.
In the center of the room I saw him. Kaiden, he was dressed in formal attire that accentuated his commanding presence.
His expression was calm and composed, but I could see the steely determination in his eyes and the way he held himself together.
My bet was that he was nervous. This was his moment, and he carried on with it with such grace that spoke volumes of his inner strength.
Elder Marcus stood beside him, as he prepared for the ceremony.
As I approached, Kaiden glanced in my direction, his eyes softened slightly when they met mine. I offered him a reassuring smile, hoping to convey my support and confidence in him.
"Lady Lilian," Elder Marcus greeted me as I reached them. "It is an honor to have you here on this important day." He said.
"Thank you, Elder Marcus," I replied, inclining my head respectfully. "It's a day of great significance for all of us." I responded.
He nodded his head, then he turned his attention to the gathering pack leaders and Alphas from the surrounding territories.
The room fell silent as he raised his hands, signaling the beginning of the ceremony.
"Today, we gather to witness the ascension of Kaiden to the position of Alpha of the Blue Moon pack," Elder Marcus began, his voice strong and clear.
"This is a moment of both reflection and anticipation, as we honor the legacy of those who came before and look forward to a future led by a new generation." He said while the rest of the pack watched.
He paused as he allowed his words to reach every corner in the quiet hall.
The pack members and guests listened intently, their eyes focused on Kaiden.
"Kaiden has proven himself to be a leader of integrity and strength," Elder Marcus continued. "He has faced challenges with courage and has shown a deep commitment to the well-being of our pack.
Today, we recognize him as our Alpha, a position he inherits with the blessings of his ancestors and the support of his people.
Elder Marcus gestured for Kaiden to step forward. Kaiden did so, his posture was kind of straight and confident.
The room seemed to hold its breath as the elder took a ceremonial dagger from a velvet cushion held by an attendant.
The blade was elegantly and royally engraved, a symbol of the power and responsibility that came with the Alpha's position.
"With this blade," Elder Marcus said, holding it up for all to see, "we acknowledge the passage of leadership.
May it serve as a reminder of the weight of your duties and the strength you must embody." He said.
He handed the dagger to Kaiden, who accepted it with a straight expression on his face.
There was a ritual to this moment, a tradition that had been passed down through generations.
Kaiden raised the dagger, and the light from the chandeliers above caught on the engravings, making them shimmer and glimmer under the lights.
"I, Kaiden, accept the role of Alpha of the Blue Moon pack," he declared, his voice was quite steady and resolute for someone who was doing something gravely important.”
I vow to lead with honor, to protect our pack, and to uphold the values and traditions of our ancestors.
I will serve you all to the best of my ability, with fairness and strength." He said.
His words echoed through the hall, it was indeed a pledge that was both a promise and a commitment to the entire pack of the blue moon dynasty.
The assembled leaders nodded their heads in approval, their expressions were those of respect and acknowledgement.
Elder Marcus then turned to address the pack leaders and guests.
"We welcome those who have traveled from near and far to witness this momentous occasion," he said.”
The unity of our packs is proof of the strength of our oneness as togetherness, and we are grateful for your presence here today." He said.
There was a murmur of agreement from the crowd as I watched everyone talk in groups and nods of approval were seen on each corner.
As the ceremony concluded, Kaiden turned to me, his eyes met mine and I saw something in those blue depths of his, they resembled relief and resolve.
I stepped forward and placed a hand on his arm.
"You did well," I whispered, as I offered him a smile . "Your parents would be proud." I told him. I knew he would not want to hear me say those words but I knew more than anyone else that he needed to hear those words.
He nodded his head in response, I saw something that resembled emotions as they were passing over his face.
"Thank you, Lilian," he replied, his voice quiet. "For being here, for everything." He said.
Before I could respond, we were approached by a group of pack leaders.
Among them was Alpha Henrik and I felt my heart skip a beat.
