33. You’re angry

Lucy

When Tony or Matt weren’t having sex with me, I was sleeping. I don’t know what they were doing while I was asleep, but I woke up with Matt in bed with me most of the time. I didn’t even know how long it had been since I was brought back. We were staying in Tony’s room while they were repairing the doors and walls of my room. I could hear them working down the hall.
Matt turned over and pulled my hips back, and thrust into me with a groan.
“Quick before Tony comes back.”
I gasped as he rolled me onto my stomach. He pulled me onto my knees and thrust into me. The bed rocked softly. He leaned over me as he thrust harder and harder. I could barely breathe as he shuddered and came. I felt something warm inside me as he slumped over me and panted in my ear.
“You always feel so good,” he whispered in my ear. Then, he pulled out of me and pulled me back into his arms. “Did you sleep well?”
I nodded. Then, the door opened.
“Matt,” Tony said. “Get out of bed and take Lucy outside.”
He tightened his grip on me. “Why?”
Tony rounded the bed and tugged Matt off of me. He lifted me out of bed and carried me towards the bathroom.
“I don’t expect you to forgive him.”
“It’s okay.”
He set me inside the bathroom. “Get cleaned up while I talk to Matt, okay.”
I ducked my head and nodded. He kissed me briefly before closing the door behind him. I considered listening to what they were saying, but I decided against it. What did it matter?
I walked to the shower, turned it on, and started to wash up. I couldn’t hear either of their voices as I washed my hair and sighed. There was still a zapping sensation sometimes, but it wasn’t as bad as it had been when Tony found me. The pain and nausea had mostly gone away too.
When I came out of the bathroom, there was an outfit set out for me. Matt was gone, and Tony was perched on the edge of the bed. He stood and took the towel from me. His fingers trailed along my neck over the bite mark on my neck. He frowned at it.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
He glanced at me, wrapping his hand around the nape of my neck and kissing me again. He thrust his tongue into my mouth and kissed me for a while before he pulled back.
“Nothing,” he said. He stroked the bite mark again. “Let me get you dressed.”
I let him dress me in the skirt and shirt he’d set out. Then, he sat me down and put my shoes on before handing me a small purse.
“Put what you want in it. Don’t worry about money.”
“Okay.”
I put my phone in it since that was all I had. It wasn’t big enough to fit much else inside it, even if I wanted to put anything in it. He turned to the door and opened it just as Matt was about to knock. He was fully dressed too, and looking less upset than he seemed earlier.
“Lucy—”
Tony stood in his way. “Rules, Matt.”
He huffed. “I got it. I got it. Go be… responsible or something.”
Tony looked back at me. “Lucy, I’ve told Matt to take you out for a few hours. No hotels. No dark corners. No bars. If he doesn’t make sure you at least have a decent meal before he brings you back, text me.”
“Okay.”
“Really?” Matt pouted.
Tony nodded and flicked Matt on the head. “Behave yourself.”
Matt rubbed his forehead. “I’m still recovering, and you’re being so mean to me.”
“I expect you’ll eat enough to make yourself feel better.” He paused and looked back at Matt. “I expect some more things in her closet.”
Matt grinned. “You can always trust me to spend money.”
Tony scoffed and walked away. Then, Matt turned back to me.
“If we wait a minute—”
“Matt!” I heard Tony yell down the hallway.
Matt groaned and held the door open. “Come on then. Let’s venture outside, I guess.”
“What’s going on?” I asked.
Matt smirked. “Nothing. Tony’s just convinced that after keeping you in bed for the past week, you should get some fresh air. I strongly disagree. We want kids, we should be working on that, but I can’t argue with him, or he’ll beat me up.”
Matt led me down the hall and past where the repairs were being done. It looked like they were installing a new door.
“What happened to the door?” I asked as Matt took my hand and pulled me after him.
As we passed, I caught a glimpse of a hole in the wall.
“And the wall?”
“The luna’s chambers are fortified for protection. It’s where you and our children would be in the case of an attack on the Den.”
As I followed, I saw other people who seemed to duck out of sight as we passed. Tony was on the phone as we reached the front door, standing outside. I didn’t hear much of what he said, but he hung up as we came closer.
“I thought you were gone already,” Matt said.
“As if I would trust you to behave,” Tony took my hand and led me around to the other side. I saw Matt open the back seat as Tony opened the passenger door.
“You’re driving, Matt.”
“Oh, come on!” Matt growled and slammed the door shut.
“At this rate, you’re going to make her think all we want from her is sex,” Tony said.
“Isn’t it?” I asked.
They turned sharply to look at me. I blinked at them both and got the feeling that I shouldn’t have said anything.
Matt looked horrified. “But we’re mates…”
I blinked at him, but I said nothing.
“Lucy,” Matt said. “We’re mates. We—”
Tony set his jaw. “We’ll talk about it later. Take her out. Treat her well. Come back for dinner.”
Tony closed the door behind me, and I sighed, leaning against the door. Matt climbed into the driver’s seat. He didn’t move for a moment. Then, he turned the key and drove away from the house. It felt like the car was moving too fast, but I just stared out the window.
“We’re mates, Lucy,” Matt said, his voice tense. “Even though you’re a half-breed, you have to feel something.”
I didn’t say anything.
“Don’t you?” Matt asked as he turned onto the highway and started speeding up.
“I… don’t know what you mean.”
“You knew we were meant to be together the first time we met, didn’t you? Didn’t you feel that we didn’t mean you any harm?”
I gripped my seatbelt, afraid to say anything.
“Answer me,” Matt said. “Just… Just tell the truth.”
“I… don’t think I should.”
“Why not?” He growled. “I’m asking you to.”
“You’re angry,” I said quietly.
Matt remained quiet for a moment before he said, “We’re mates, Lucy. That means I would never hurt you.”
I didn’t say anything, and he sighed again. “Fine. How about lunch? We’ll… go get real ramen.”
“Okay.”
“Don’t you have a preference?”
“No.”
He growled again. “Why not?”
I pressed against the door and refused to look at him.
“I just don’t.”
He growled against and weaved through several cars. Soon, I saw a city coming into view. The car slowed down as it entered city traffic. He pulled up in front of a large building that looked like a mall. A man came around to take the keys from him. Another man opened the door for me, and I climbed out.
