Chapter 10 - White Raven Pack

Kaleigh smirked when she pulled away from Dominick and turned toward the angry woman staring at them. Kaleigh had to admit Amber was pretty with tan skin, long straight, shiny black hair, blue eyes, and a petite figure. If it wasn't for the look of disgust on her face, she would almost be beautiful.

"Well, hello, Dominick. Would you care to introduce the she-wolf who is kissing my mate?" Amber's voice sounded sickly sweet, making Kaleigh cringe. She knew she wouldn't like her voice.

"I was never your mate and will never be your mate." Dominick took Kaleigh's hand, and they walked past an angry Amber toward the porch where everyone else was standing.

"Hello everyone, I would like for you to meet my lovely mate Kaleigh, niece of the Alpha of the Pale Moon Pack." Kaleigh smiled at those standing on the porch nervously.

"Kaleigh, it's so nice to finally meet you. Dominick has been bragging about you every time we talked to him." A tall woman with short curly dark brown hair came down the steps first. Kaleigh could tell that she was Dominick's mother as they shared many of the same characteristics. They had the same golden eyes, prominent nose, and full mouth. She had a welcoming smile on her beautiful face, and to Kaleigh's surprise, she ran right up to her and gave her a big hug.

"My name is Alannah. I'm Dominick's mother. We are so happy to have you here with us. This is my mate Dillon, Alpha of White Raven." She pulled over a very tall man that was standing next to her. He had the same dark complexion as Dominick, and it was clear to see where Dominick got his height from. The Alpha was very handsome and had a pleasant smile as he held out his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Kaleigh. We are thrilled that Dominick met his fated mate. Welcome to the White Raven Pack." Kaleigh's hand almost disappeared in his massive one.

"Thank you both. I'm happy to meet you and be here as well." Dominick had his arm tightly around her waist, holding her to his side.

"Well, why don't you two get your things and get settled. We will have a welcome dinner tonight so that you can meet everyone." The Luna quickly hugged Dominick before walking them back to the truck. Amber was still standing behind them, fuming with anger. No one paid any attention to her as they retrieved the suitcases.

"This isn't over, Dominick. I don't care what you say. That bitch will not be your mate. I rejected my mate for you, and you will do the same. I'm your chosen mate, and you will mark me." Amber was screaming in a loud screeching voice. Luna Alannah turned to her with a glare.

"Amber, you will not embarrass our pack by acting out. Dominick has met his fated mate, so no matter what delusion you had in your head, you will never be his mate." The Luna spoke with so much authority and ice in her voice that Kaleigh almost shrunk away.

"I'm to be his mate, not this ugly ass she-wolf from another pack. I will be the next Luna, and no one will stop me." Amber was still screaming, not caring how ridiculous she looked and sounded. It was all Kaleigh could do to keep Skylar from taking over and ripping out her throat. The Alpha stepped forward in front of Amber and used his Alpha voice.

"Amber, you will stop acting like this now and return to your parents' home. You are no longer welcome in the packhouse. If you do anything to Dominick, your future Alpha, or Kaleigh, your future Luna, you will be banned from this pack for life." Amber couldn't resist the Alpha and bared her neck in a sign of submission as she looked down toward the ground. She then turned around and ran down the road toward the other houses. Kaleigh saw a man and woman follow her, who she assumed were her parents.

"Kaleigh, we're so sorry for that episode. Please don't let her attitude taint your mind to how the rest of us feel." Alannah went to Kaleigh and put her arm around her in reassurance. Kaleigh smiled at her gratefully.

"No worries Luna Alannah, I have dealt with sour attitudes before. I appreciate you and the Alpha being so welcoming to me." Dominick came up to her side, carrying their suitcases.

"Mom, I'll take Kaleigh inside so we can get unpacked and get settled. I'd warned her about Amber before we came. I didn't think she would make such a scene, though." They all started walking into the packhouse, and Kaleigh was struck by how beautiful it was.

The outside looked like a large cabin resort, while the inside was very modern, as Dominick had told her. The walls were white, and the floors were a pale gray tile. The furniture she could see from the entryway was black with a few dark gray pieces. Kaleigh had thought her packhouse was nice, but this looked like a mansion in comparison.

"Well, son, we told her you found your mate. However, as you saw, she still thought as the Beta's daughter, she could make you change your mind. I want you to be careful. She isn't one to go down without a fight." Kaleigh and Dominick looked at each other and smiled. They had a few tricks up their sleeves that could keep her from doing anything stupid.

"Luna Alannah, later, there is something I would like to speak with you and the Alpha about if that's okay. I want to be transparent about myself so that you know everything about me and where I come from." Kaleigh was still nervous that they would tell her to leave once they found out she was a hybrid, but the Luna smiled at her.

"Dear, we will be ready whenever you would like to talk. Please call me Alannah. You don't need to call me Luna. After all, you are family." She smiled warmly at the young woman next to her son.

"Thank you, Alannah. You don't know how much that means to me."

"Okay, I will take Kaleigh upstairs now. We will come and find you in a little while." As Kaleigh followed, Dominick started heading to the wide staircase in front of them.

While they walked up the stairs, Kaleigh looked around at the packhouse. Everything seemed so clean it was sparkling. The artwork on the walls was very tasteful and colorful compared to the white and gray theme of the house.

There weren't many people running around like there were in her packhouse. It was tranquil for how large it was. The people they passed looked at her and Dom in shock but didn't say anything. They walked down a long hall on the second floor, and at the very end of it, Dom opened a large door indicating Kaleigh should go in first.

"This is our room." Dominick said almost shyly.

Kaleigh walked in and could tell it was a man's room. The walls were dark green, and the furniture was very large and dark. There were no feminine touches anywhere, which pleased Kaleigh.

The room was big and had two windows that were floor to ceiling, letting in lots of natural light. There were also French doors that opened up to a decent-sized balcony that looked over the mountains. Kaleigh could see herself sitting on that balcony, soaking in the peace and quiet.

Kaleigh walked around the room, looking at all of Dominick's things. There were pictures from his childhood. There was a large bathroom through one door and a large walk-in closet through another. She blushed when she saw the bathtub, it was big enough for two people, and she wondered what it would be like to be in that tub with Dominick.

"I really love this room, Dom." She was almost whispering. He sat their suitcases down next to the bed and watched her with a worried look. He seemed to relax from her words and walked over to her.

"Kaleigh, you don't know how happy I am to have you here with me. I'm sorry about earlier, but I promise you there was never anything between Amber and me. You're the only one that I want." Dominick put his arms around her and held her tightly to his chest. She breathed in his delicious, calming scent and felt herself relax.

"It's not your fault Dom. If she gives us trouble, I know a couple of spells that will calm her down. If that doesn't work, I will just kick her ass." Dominick laughed at his mate. She indeed was remarkable.

"Should we unpack before we meet with your parents?" Kaleigh got ready to head for the suitcases, but Dom stopped her.

"Someone will unpack for us. I just want to spend a few minutes enjoying having you in my bedroom all to myself." Dominick pulled her to him once again and kissed her.

Dominick's mouth was urgent and unrelenting. He slid his tongue into her mouth to play with her tongue. He put one hand under her shirt to feel her silky soft skin.

Kaleigh gasped but didn't pull away. Instead, she slid her hand under his shirt to feel his hard muscles. They stayed like that for several minutes, kissing and caressing each other, until their arousal became almost painful.

Dom pulled away out of breath but still kept his hand on the skin of her back, stroking her softly. They had touched each other during the past week they had spent together, but it was getting harder to not go further.

"Dominick, if you keep kissing me and touching me like that, I will push you on that bed so I can have my way with you." To her surprise, Dominick pulled her over to the bed. He then picked her up and laid down, still holding her in his arms.

"Kaleigh, there are ways we can please each other without going all the way." Kaleigh looked into his eyes as he slowly moved his hand down to the zipper of her jeans. She knew what he meant and felt her cheeks flame with embarrassment.

Kaleigh brushed off her shyness and decided to take over. She liked this idea. Kaleigh pushed Dom onto his back to sit on his abdomen, straddling him. He looked up at her with wide eyes, and she smiled.

"I'm the virgin, so I get to have my fun first." Kaleigh whispered in his ear.

Dominick was surprised. He'd been teasing Kaleigh, but now that she was game, he wasn't going to stop her. Dominick would like to be the one to pleasure her first, but Kaleigh was not having it. She was taking control, and he was happy to let her. Dominick decided to lay back and let Kaleigh have her way with him.
