Chapter 42 - The Most Powerful
Kaleigh glared at Brielle as she stood over Celeste chanting. She didn't know her plan for Celeste, but Kaleigh planned to stop it before Brielle went too far. Celeste had kept her word, and Kaleigh would not let her pay for it now.

"Brielle, you're right. I don't like seeing anyone suffer because even in the darkness, there is a little light." Kaleigh walked toward Brielle, who had stopped mid-chant.

"What do you mean?" Brielle was genuinely curious as to what the young witch was doing. She was focused entirely on Kaleigh and temporarily forgot about Celeste.

"Oh, you will see, Brielle." Kaleigh said a quick little chant, waved her arms, and just like that, Celeste was gone. Brielle looked around, stunned.

"Where did she go? I had plans for her. Bring her back right now." Brielle was screaming, but Kaleigh just smirked at her. The spell that she and Skylar had done sent Celeste outside the cave with the others that were waiting.

"Now, Brielle, it's just you and me. You don't seem to like to fight yourself but rather have others do your dirty work. I think you are too weak to do any actual witchcraft; you are hundreds of years old. If you were to show your true self, I am sure you are uglier than roadkill." Kaleigh saw Brielle becoming angrier and angrier the more she talked.

Brielle was so mad she wanted to cut Kaleigh's head off and deliver it to her mate before killing their whole pack. Brielle was cautious about letting her actual image appear; she only let others see the image of the body she took over. She could feel herself wanting to show this witch what she was really capable of, but Brielle knew she needed to stay calm. If Brielle lost control, Kaleigh would have no trouble beating her.

"How dare you talk to me this way? I am a High Priestess, and you should have the utmost respect for me. You should be bowing to me because you're not even worth licking the scum off my shoe." Brielle was screaming at Kaleigh.

Kaleigh couldn't help but want to goad Brielle more. She had a feeling if she kept at it, Brielle would show her true self, and that would be the best way for Kaleigh to beat her. She smirked as she walked around Brielle shaking her head.

"It's sad, and really Brielle, I almost feel sorry for you. For a witch to be so ugly that you have to use someone else's body must be tough. Why do you Dark Sphere bitches use other bodies? You choose the most beautiful women to take over, but why not be yourself? Are you that ashamed of how repulsed others would be to look at you?" Kaleigh could feel the anger rolling off of Brielle in waves.

"You don't know anything. We chose human bodies because if humans saw us in our natural form, they would know there was something different about us." Brielle was still screaming. Kaleigh thought just a little more, and she would be ready.

"That proves that I am right; your outside appearance reflects what is on the inside. You are rotten through and through. Such a shame; if you had been good, this would not be the end for you. Oh, well, I guess it's time to see who the most powerful witch is. When I kill you, Brielle, I hope you rot in hell." Kaleigh's calm voice, despite her words, made Brielle even more furious.

Brielle could feel the heat rising in her body. As much as she tried to keep herself calm, she couldn't hold back anymore. Brielle knew she shouldn't do it, but she would show herself to this Emerald Stone witch before she killed her once and for all.

"Be careful what you wish for, Kaleigh." Skylar was jumping up and down with excitement in Kaleigh's head, knowing they were getting their way. It was time to alert the others. This was why they had sent Celeste outside; she would be able to help the other three get inside.

As Skylar was mindlinking Allie, Mollie, and Felicia, Kaleigh watched Brielle with disbelief. She was changing right before her eyes. The small beautiful blonde body she had on fell away as if it were clothes.

Underneath, Brielle had pale white skin with dark spots that reminded Kaleigh of age spots she saw on older humans. Brielle's spots were really dark and gave her the look of a monster. Her face was distorted into something hideous and non-human. Brielle only had a few strands of grey hair on her head, and her eyes were coal black. She was still short, but now she was bent over and looked like she had been living for over a hundred years.

Kaleigh began laughing out loud when Brielle's transformation was complete. She looked like something from a child's nightmare. Brielle was glaring at her as she laughed.

"Wow, Brielle, you are even uglier than I imagined. No wonder you like to hide behind a human body. If anyone saw you like this, they would either run away in terror or laugh in your face thinking you have on a costume for Halloween." Kaleigh knew this would anger Brielle even more.

"Kaleigh, you will see who is the most powerful when I am done with you. You will wish that you had never made me turn myself. I will kill you, and when I am done, I will go to your pack to kill your mate and all the pack members. No one will live because of your arrogance." Brielle was trying to scream. However, her natural voice came out like she was talking with a mouth full of gravel.

"I don't think so, Brielle. You are forgetting one thing. I have the sacred stone, and I am stronger than you as long as it's in my possession. I will be the one killing you and all the remaining witches of Dark Sphere. You see, what you don't know is that all the witches you sent to the White Raven pack were defeated. You underestimated us, Brielle. We were ready for the witches and knew you were coming." Kaleigh saw Brielle's black eyes widen in surprise.

"How did you know? Who told you that I knew about you and was coming for you? I will have their head." Kaleigh smirked again, making Brielle bristle.

"No one told me. I knew the minute I broke the spell on the she-wolf. I knew that it would not be long for you to come after me. I figured it would give me the chance to end the Dark Sphere once and for all finally. You are nothing but a poor excuse for a witch. I think I'm done playing with you now, Brielle. It's time for you to die." Brielle watched as Kaleigh held her hands up and began to chant.

As Kaleigh chanted, the dirt in the cave began to swirl around like a tornado. Brielle watched, trying to figure out what was going on, when suddenly there were four women standing in front of them. Celeste was one of them; the other three Brielle did not recognize.

"What is going on? Who are these women with Celeste?" Brielle felt like a caged animal, and she had never felt like that before. She began backing up away from the women.

"This, Brielle, is the beginning of your end." Kaleigh smiled wickedly.
