Chapter 19 - Zosia's Surprise
The twin's heat lasted for three days. When they finally came out of their rooms, the two couples were very relaxed and satisfied. Dakota and Sterling told Jasmine and Brandie that they were pregnant. However, they didn't know whether the pups would be hybrids or not.
Brandie and Titus arrived at the dining hall first. Much to their embarrassment, a crowd was there who all cheered when they walked in. Brandie was as red as a tomato, while Titus looked away sheepishly when he saw her parents among those cheering.
Jasmine and Aaron came in next and got the same welcome; however, they didn't have the same reaction. Jasmine bowed to everyone, and Aaron had a huge grin spreading across his face. They walked over to the table where Brandie, Titus, Kaleigh, Dominick, Alannah, and Dillon were all sitting.
"Well, girls, are we going to have grandpups soon?" Kaleigh asked hopefully. She now understood how Alannah and Dillon felt when she was expecting the twins.
"Yes, mom, we're both having pups. We don't know if they will be hybrids or twins, though. It would be so cool if we both had twins. You would get four grandpups." Everyone at the table laughed. However, Aaron and Titus looked a little pale. Dominick noticed and took pity on them.
"Trust me, guys, if Brandie and Jasmine have twins, you'll be just fine. Having twins is double the fun or double the trouble, depending on how you look at it." Dominick burst out laughing as his daughters glared at him.

"Dad, we weren't bad. We just liked to have fun." Jasmine argued, and Brandie agreed.
"That's right, and we can't help it if you couldn't take a joke every now and then." Brandie winked at her sister.
Everyone ate breakfast and discussed the battle they knew was coming now that the twins had been in heat. As they were finishing up, Dakota and Sterling told the twins that they needed to go somewhere to be alone. Zosia wanted to see them.
Without an explanation, Brandie and Jasmine stood up and excused themselves. They decided to go upstairs to the Alpha office and sat on the couch. When they closed their eyes, they felt themselves being pulled away and flying like last time.
Zosia was waiting on them when they arrived on top of the mountain, and she was just as beautiful as they remembered. She smiled when she saw the confusion on their face.
"It's nice to see you both again. I'm sorry to disturb you right after your heat, but I needed to speak to you as soon as possible. I know that you're aware you're both having pups; however, I have some news about that for you."
The twins looked at each other in surprise. What could Zosia know about their pups? They were still trying to process the fact that they were having pups.
"What is it, Moon Goddess? Will our pups be alright?" Brandie asked while putting a hand on her still flat stomach.
"Yes, they'll be fine, but you're not just having pups. You are both having twins, but they will be fraternal twins. You'll have a boy and a girl. Your sons will be werewolves, and your daughters will be witches. It's essential to keep the bloodline of the Emerald Stone witches strong. They will be the first pure Emerald Stone witches born since your grandmother." Zosia stopped to let them process what she had said.
Jasmine and Brandie looked at each other, both rubbing their stomachs. They were getting their wish to have twins; however, they were surprised that they were having werewolves and witches instead of hybrids. They weren't upset, just shocked.
"Will our daughters be hunted down like our mother and us? How can we keep them safe if they don't have wolves to help them?" Jasmine knew what happened to their grandmother and didn't want anything to hurt her and Brandie's daughters.
"There will always be something out there trying to get your stones. Once you defeat the being, you and your offspring won't be bothered for a while. Everyone in multiple worlds is watching to see how you do against the being, and they'll take note. You will show them the power of the Emerald Stone witches, which will deter anyone from attacking again anytime soon. Your daughters don't need wolves because they will be strong with their magic."
"When will the being attack Moon Goddess? Will it be while we are still pregnant or after we give birth?" Brandie was fearful for their unborn children.
"You will fight while still pregnant. The being is going to want your fetuses, but not to worry, he won't be successful. You will win this battle, but there will also be losses. Fear not, young ones; you and your mates will survive. The being will attack within the next month. Most likely on the new moon. He does not draw energy from the moon and would prefer it to be as dark as possible when they attack. It's time you go back now. Please share what I have told you with your mates and your family. Until the next time, take care my hybrid daughters of the moon."

Before they could respond, Brandie and Jasmine were whisking away through the air and back to the Alpha office. When they opened their eyes, they looked at each other with both excitement and worry. They were excited about their children but worried about the losses during the battle.
Jasmine mindlinked Aaron telling him to bring Titus and their family to the Alpha office. Once everyone was there, they repeated what Zosia had said to them. Titus and Aaron looked pale again at the thought of the twins that would be born in a couple of months.
The grandparents and great-grandparents were bursting with happiness at the mention of all the upcoming pups. They would have four of them to spoil and would have to plan lots of trips to Fallen Eagle.
The group discussed the battle and how to defeat the being while keeping the pups safe. The others were outside, trying to listen to the conversation. Unfortunately for them, the Alpha office was secure even from their sensitive hearing.
The others knew that the twins had gotten some kind of news that was why they were having the impromptu meeting; however, they didn't know who gave it to them or what it was. As they tried to get closer to hear, they felt exposed. Even though they were shadows, they seemed out of place in the open.
The invisible one was nowhere around, so they couldn't seek his help. The others decided they wouldn't tell the being about this for now. They didn't know what it was any way or if they should be concerned about it.
As they made their way back to the safety of the trees, they were worried they might be missing something that was key to the being's defeat of the Emerald Stone witches. What could it be, though?
