Chapter 17 - The Fight With Black Sphere

It was almost midnight, and the moon was shining brightly on those below. The light breeze rustling the leaves in the trees, the sound of chirping crickets, and the grunting of tree frogs were the only sounds anyone could hear.

The pack members of Fallen Eagle were ready for the Black Sphere witches. They had been preparing for this fight and ready to take them down so they could get ready for the next battle.

There were warriors spread around the perimeter. Gavin, Alannah, Celeste, and Hannah were spread out near the pack house. In the center of it all were Kaleigh, Brandie, and Jasmine. Their mates were nearby.

When midnight came, so did the Black Sphere witches. The twins felt them break through the spell they placed over the pack grounds. Kaleigh, Jasmine, and Brandie spread out to prepare. They knew what to do because they'd been here before. The only difference this time was that Brandie and Jasmine weren't infants.

When the witches came running through the area, the warriors had intentionally left unguarded; everyone was in their fighting stances. Kaleigh rolled her eyes when she saw how few there were. Only a hundred or so witches would be nothing for them. She and her daughters would barely break a sweat. Brandie was the first to notice that Tabitha wasn't with them.

"Hello, witches of the Black Sphere. You have made a mistake coming here to confront the witches of the Emerald Stone. Leave now and go free or fight and you will die." Aaron spoke with authority in his Alpha voice. Even though he was not Alpha of the witches, they still felt a tremor of fear go through them.

The Black Sphere witches stopped and looked at each other. That was when they noticed Kaleigh was with her daughters. The Black Sphere witches felt real fear all the way into their bones. They hadn't wanted to fight with the twins, and now with their mother here, they knew there was no way to win.

Tabitha, who'd been watching in the distance, came through the trees at a leisurely pace. She looked around, and when her eyes landed on Kaleigh, she felt pure rage.

"Emerald Stone witches, you will surrender to me and hand over your stones before we kill everyone in your pack." Kaleigh, Jasmine, and Brandie looked at each other and started laughing.

"Tabitha, you have no power here. You, with your weak magic and frightened witches. It looks like you just rolled out of the sewer with the gutter rats." Kaleigh knew how insulting Brielle had angered her, and she assumed it would be the same with her daughter.

"You have no right to talk to me like that. You killed my mother, and I have come to seek my revenge. Fall on your knees and bow to me. I am the High Priestess, and you will show me respect." The three Emerald Stone witches burst out laughing again while the Black Sphere witches looked around, terrified. Tabitha hadn't noticed, but the warriors and the other witches in the pack had slowly started surrounding them.

"Tabitha, if you don't want to turn to a pile of ash and see your mother in hell, then I suggest you leave these pack lands now." As Kaleigh spoke, she gave a slight nod to Gavin, Alannah, Celeste, and Hannah.

They quickly moved to the four corners of the group and began chanting a spell. It was a binding spell that would render the Black Sphere witches unable to use their magic long enough for the warriors to take some of them out.

"Get ready to die, you green-eyed bitches. Black Sphere witches attack." Tabitha screamed the last part and waited for her witches to start placing spells on the pack members, but nothing happened.

While the witches tried to figure out why they couldn't cast a spell, the warriors came up behind them and began stabbing them through the heart one by one. Tabitha was in the middle of everything, so it took her a minute to realize that her witches were getting killed quickly.

"Tabitha, if you don't want to die with the rest, surrender now." Jasmine yelled at Tabitha when she noticed her witches falling to the ground around her.

"No, you will not defeat me. I am the most powerful of all. You can kill all my witches, I don't care, but you won't defeat me."

Kaleigh was tired of Tabitha's mouth. She was just like her mother, Brielle, who thought she was powerful because she said it. Kaleigh walked up to her despite feeling Dominick's reluctance to let her near Tabitha.

When she was a few feet from her, Kaleigh looked into her eyes and laughed. As Tabitha stood there, unsure what to do, Kaleigh did a backflip and kicked Tabitha in the face sending her flying to the ground. Kaleigh then ran up to her before she had a chance to stand back up. She twirled around, kicking her again so she would fall to her side.

While Tabitha tried to shake herself off, Kaleigh motioned to her daughters that it was time. They made a triangle around Tabitha and the remaining witches. Once they were in place, the three of them began chanting. Everyone there gasped and took a few steps back from the powerful witches.

Their eyes were glowing green matching the green glow of their stones around their necks. Their faces seemed to transform into a soft, fuller version of themselves and looked almost translucent. What shocked them the most was when the three witches seemed to hover over the ground. The power they emitted made everyone want to fall to their knees and bow.

As Kaleigh, Jasmine and Brandie continued chanting, the Black Sphere witches screamed in pain from the burning of the spell. Tabitha yelled for them to stop, and she would leave. It was too late for her, and all the witches. They had made their choice.

The Fallen Eagle pack watched in disbelief when before their eyes, where the remaining fifty witches had stood was now nothing but piles of ashes. A strong wind came and scattered the ashes until there was nothing there.

Kaleigh and the twins slowly stopped chanting and began returning to normal. The pack members and their mates stood in awe as they watched the three of them. If they had not witnessed the three themselves, they would never have believed it. Feeling their energy gave the pack even more respect for the three witches, and they were a little scared.

"Well, that was easy. Maybe we should go celebrate." Jasmine looked around at the pack members who were still staring at them, speechless.

"You heard my mate. Let's celebrate. Everyone head to the pack house dining hall." Aaron turned to his mate with a smile. "Jasmine, you're amazing. I love you, my sweet, spunky girl."

"I love you too, Aaron. After we spend some time with the pack, I think we have our own celebrating to do." Jasmine winked at him before pulling him down for a long kiss.

Brandie and Titus were also kissing, just as needy as the other two. Kaleigh and Dominick watched their daughters and their mates with a smile. It was good for the heart to see young love.

As they all headed back to the packhouse, Kaleigh turned toward the trees. She felt like she was being watched but saw nothing there. She shrugged it off and continued with her arm around Dominick.

The others and the invisible one had witnessed the entire fight. If you could call it that. It was more like a one-sided show with a little magic on the side. They couldn't wait to get to the being to let him see what they saw.

The others were impressed with the three Emerald Stone witches. They had seen a lot of magic in their years, but nothing had prepared them for the power of those three.

The being was waiting anxiously for the others to show him what they saw. They came to him even quicker than he thought, and he laughed in excitement.

When the others showed him the battle of the witches, the being laughed hysterically. The fight went just as he had thought but what surprised him was watching the changes in the Emerald Stone witches.

The being was one of the scariest things in any world, but he felt a glimmer of fear. Would he be able to defeat the witches as he had planned, or did they have more tricks up their sleeves? He was anxious to find out, no matter which way the next battle went.
